Impossible to install TWRP on Nougat rom - Huawei P9 Questions & Answers

I have a big problem to install TWRP on my P9 EVA-L09C432B378..after unlocked the bootloader; activate debugging mode, I use SRKToolHuawei-Lod-Chong-V2.0-20161002 with success but i want to reboot in recovery, it's Huawei stock recovery, I try another method with command and ADB and TWRP 3.0.2.0 with success, but got same issue, no TWRP...So I decide to revert back to 6.0 and update again to B378 version and try again both methods but still same issue.....is there a solution????
thank's
EDIT : FINALLY, I answer myself because I find THIS and it worked on 1st try, so now I'm rooted but I can't still install TWRP....
try again with rooted device bit still the same...

TWRP + Root Nougat Huawei P9

Is it possible to install TWRP with your device running the Nougat beta ?
The recovery is separate from the firmware. So I don't see why it wouldn't be possible. Root on the other hand I wouldn't know but I suppose the SuperSU beta zip file flashed with custom recovery would get the phone rooted.
If it was a kernel being flashed then that would matter as it affects the firmware (as it replaces the stock kernel).
Yep. You can install a custom recovery, even if you accidentally wipe your system, the custom recovery will still be there. (I have experience) I think that, if you can find the right supersu zip file for your phone, you should be able to root your phone.

I tried to install the custom recovery using adb, however my phone can't be detected ?
Install the drivers for your phone. Just look up Huawei p9 bootloader drivers, and you should find it.

Already tried this, since installing the Nougat beta my PC only recognises my phone when in recovery mode. I installed TWRP but phone still boots into the original erecovery and not TWRP
Did you install with with fastboot? or from within the phone? Because you have to reboot to recovery pretty much right after flashing it. Try re-flashing twrp from inside the phone with flashify, then reboot to it immediately afterwards. (Get the 3.0.2-0 (or higher) version for your phone)

Yes installed with fastboot, I manually booted into recovery (volume up + power button) right after flashing it. I thought flashify requires root ??
Wait, you updated to 7.0 without root? Did you use the normal updater? Because if so, try finding a way to downgrade again. Maybe that will work

Yeah, I just flashed the update using the dload method. The main reason I want to install TWRP is so i can downgrade. I've tried using the dload method to downgrade however it doesn't work.
For the dload method, I think you have to flash stock recovery first

I am currently using stock recovery and it still won't let me downgrade, the update reaches 51% then an error occurs. Would it be possible to flash downgrade firmware using fastboot ?
I believe you can, but you should check online to see if it is.

I will check and try this method, I'll get back to you with the results
Ok. Good luck!
Same problem here, I installed a leaked Nougat beta for the Honor 8 via TWRP and when I tried to get back to TWRP it wouldn't let me. I've tried to flash it again via fastboot but I can't boot into it :/
I have this problem too after Flashing Nougat.
I have already flashed twrp recovery via fastboot, installation complete. But I cant boot into recovery mode.
I have never had this kind of problem before. If you tried a cold boot (Hold volume up + power), try typing "adb reboot recovery" instead (or the other way around, if you've done that)
Hello.
I came from z3.
For z3 to get in recovery with N u have to hold down vol button and insert cable. Charger or PC
Sent from my EVA-L19 using XDA-Developers mobile app
I don't know if this works, but I was looking around in HiSuite (huawei's phone thing app on pc) and saw a ROM flashing option. Try that.

L19 Problems during rollback

Hi, first time posting here, forgive me if I'm doing something wrong...
I flashed Nougat beta (L19C432B322), regretted it, and now wanting to go back to EMUI 4.1.1 (before flashing, I was on L19C20B150). Trying to follow the steps for the Huawei official rollback package, but problem is I can't even get the intermediate package (C900B300) to work through dload method... update always fails at 5%.
I am unable to relock my bootloader using the SRK tool. The error I get is "remote: root type is risk".
My phone has never been rooted.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Edit: Tried to flash L19C636B168 full rom using dload method. Now bootloader is locked, but no rom is installed, booting always gives erecovery. Unable to flash any recovery via fastboot.

Please help unbrick my phone

I have bricked my phone after Magisk install fail.
I first unlocked bootloader succesfully
then i installed twrp succesfully
then i flashed magisk using twrp - this failed and sent device to erecovery. (which won't find package)
i used twrp to wipe data, now i was able to boot, and it installed like a fresh EMUI. However, almost all apps were broken- could not download themes/camera shut down etc.
To fix this, i wanted to restore to stock and did the following: download update package for my VTR-L09 of EMUI b175 (I was on b162 before), used Huawei Update Extractor to extract files and flashed BOOT.IMG, SYSTEM.IMG and RECOVERY.IMG. This was done without error.
Now my phone won't boot at all. I am stuck at the 'your device can't be trusted' screen. I cannot go into recovery. When I connect via USB, I hear the chime in Windows but I can't seem to connect with ADB.
What to do now?? Am I hard-bricked? I hope that anyone knows how to deal with my phone bricked like this. Please help me to solve this issue.
Best of wishes.
Edit: I am able to enter forced recovery, however updates fail at 5%.
I am also able to fastboot with USB, however I am unsure what to do next.
I unbricked my phone! Many thanks to who ah way and his solution found here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/p10/how-to/guide-unbricking-p10-using-hwota-windows-t3714416
:victory:
why are you doing it when you dont understand it?
You cannot flash part of B175 firmwar eover B162 firmware.. OMG.
use the HWOTa to go back to stock and please stop playing with the device without propper knowledge

Hello everyone, I wanted to revert to stock from bluewei, i flashed stock rom via dload method, but now it just bootloops. so i wanted to install twrp again so i can flash stock through twrp or atleast flash bluewei again but every time i try to flash with fastboot flash recovery command it says "remote: command not allowed", even tho i have my bootloader unlocked (everytime i turn on my phone it shows the warning that it is unlocked).
now i cant install twrp, cant flash through hisuite (it says that my device is not supported, tried the trick with changing ip address and port, nothing) and i dont have a idea how to make my phone useful again
Please can someone help me? THANKS!

Huawei p9 EVA-L09 No fastboot/recovery access.

Hello friends, recently I saw a tutorial on YouTube how to remove the bootloader unlocking notice in Huawei, as a software update arrived for my EVA L09, I wanted to do everything from factory without root or recoverys to install it via ote. So I removed the twrp by the huawei recovery and followed all the steps that the man made and reset the development settings, then I worked in the ADB to re-lock the bootloader, after finishing the processes, my phone was restarted and I'm stuck in the bootloader logo of Huawei, I never step out of there. I wanted to enter the fastbot mode and I can not because it seems to be deleted, I do not know what happens because it does not enter the fastboot mode and only reboots again, nor do I have access to the normal recovery. I tried to use the volume method up + down and power button using the UPDATE.APP but there are no such methods, the phone is apparently clean. it only stays in the logo.
I took him to the technician and he told me to communicate to the support of Huawei because he did not know what to do, I would appreciate too much to help me please, because nowhere do I find something and you are the maximum.
thankfully
Updated thread title and moved to P9 Q&A. Hope this gets you the answers you're looking for.
There are good and proven tutorials here on XDA (XDA has its own search), not sure what did you find and follw from YouTube ( was it for proper cust, proper case of going back from root or custom ROM and which one to stock and which stock build, etc)
To unbrick, you have three options:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/sho...08&postcount=7
- free method but AFAIK it requires Fastboot working

Hello friend, thank you for answering, what I did was the following https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s9BZuywrRAw I had the original rom of android 7 and I got the update through the B398 ota but I had root and twrp, I wanted to leave everything in the factory by removing the twrp and replacing it with the huawei recovery and removing the root. When it was restarted, it never came back and I do not understand why I do not have a fastboot or recovery mode.
Thank you
It is not enough to say EVA-L09 and b398.
You must know what was exactly your original stock ROM (before you rooted), like was it EVA-L09c432b397 or what.
Then, there is very simple method to go back to the stock ROM you started from, say to c432b397, wherefrom you would then be able to accept OTA to b398...
It's all about flashing the correct HWOTA package through TWRP, and you would be back to your unrooted stock and back to your stock recovery:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=74913874&postcount=3
Unfortunately, now after the YouTube, you have no Androud, no TWRP, no fastboot...
Btw, unlocked Bootloader does not prevent OTA updates. It was only neederd to unroot and then to go back to stock recovery - both you simply get just by flashing the right HWOTA package.
Alternatively, you could have to unroot (SuperSU has its own option to remove root, for Magisk there is a ZIP package to uninstall Magisk), and to flash the original stock recovery - and you would be clean to accept OTA (although with Bootloader still unlocked).
