Google play store crash on 5.3.3 7in - Fire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey folks,
I've installed google play store from an apk and also account manager and framework. It seems to crash before fully opening and returning to the home screen after install.
I noticed the issue with most apk's i try and run as well.
I searched around a bit and have come up empty on a true fix.
Hoping this is something fairly common of an issue, and I appreciate the time. Thanks!

Yeah - that won't work. Try this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/amazon-fire/general/installing-google-framework-playstore-t3216122

aha! I was missing play services.
Thank you!!

The store crashed on me last night. Though it happened after the last update they made to it. My phone wasn't impressed. Only thing that fixed it was uninstall the store to factory and let it update again. It was making my Pandora music app skip songs. Was the weirdest thing.

Yes, for some people their google credentials get messed up when play store installs. Just open google talk and sign in, it makes the rest of the google apps work, including play store. worth a try...

TexasICE's ICS ROMs are pretty old right now. They might be having bugs which are long gone in the latest JB ROMs by Evervolv (again texasice) team. You should give that a try instead of this one.
Thanks a lot for all the help guys! Turns out I just needed to do a custom install and make sure that the default google apps were installs during the installation! Thanks again

[Q] Any workaround for Google play services battery bug?

Hey guys,
Is there any known effective workaround for the battery drain issue on 4.4 with google play services?
I have installed the newly released Google play services 5.0 but this is still an issue and causes the phone to get VERY hot during charging

Did you clear cache after installing new Google play services? If you didn't, clear cache and reboot your phone.

Cleared cache and so far seems to be working with v5.0! Thank you!
This is actually something I was trying to find a work around today.
Mind linking me the Play Services 5.0 you're using? I'd really like to try this.

Thanks for that. Gave it a go, got a result similar to the thread maker's. Was a dream come true, really.
Then it came back again. Didn't do anything different, just eventually came back into play on next reboot.
Uninstalled updates from Play Services entirely and rebooted, got the same effect. I don't think it's 5.0 fixing it, just the other play(s) causing it. Still running as 'uninstall updates' version (whatever it is-- lemme check... 4.0.33) and I've not had an issue with it coming back on. If it doesn't last then I have no clue how to fix this.
Sorry to be a pest and bump / double post.
But I havn't had it come back since I did an 'Uninstall Updates' from Settings > Apps > All
I don't know why this would be so darned weird... But for anyone who hasn't tried it... I guess, sadly try it - and the link that Androidtweaker gave.
When I installed the Play Store that Androidtweaker linked, I did nothing but play games for like 2 hours on my phone - No issues. Kept playing, 4 hours later popped back up. I play Puzzles & Dragon's and link it to my Google+, so I thought they might have triggered all the play services since it is Google Games.
However I uninstalled updates and now it's the 1st of July where I am (3 days later), with Uninstall Updates and playing P&D with G+, I don't have any Play Service Issues.
Sorry I couldn't be of help to anyone who comes to this thread via google searching. Perhaps installing the latest Play Store then deleting cache/dalvik helped cut out some issue hidden within somewhere?...
In settings/location, set to device only. Its google location reporting causing the issue. Setting it to device only utilises just GPS for location.

Google Play Services is absent on your device

So I got this little msg display on my phone today. Been trying to listen to iHeartRadio and it kept disconnecting. After I rebooted my N6, a msg popped up saying I will need Google Play Services, which apparently is not installed on my phone, in order to continue using apps. I have it installed and up to date. Anyone else experience this?

Play Store downloads/updates stuck at 99%

I'm using a Note9 that's only a month old. The last 2 days, any app updates or new apps I'm trying to download get stuck at 99% (sometimes 100%). Things I've tried so far:
* Resetting the Play Store to default and deleting data/cache
* Wiping the cache of the whole phone
* Disabling the Google app (per suggestions I found elsewhere)
* Uninstalling Nova Launcher (per suggestions)
* Wiping the cache/data of the Download Manager
It's driving me up the wall. No idea what to try. Any advice?
This is the same issues I've been having, especially since updating to Android Pie. Only small fix I found was just closing all apps and run Device Care on a download, then it worked. I don't know if this is an actual fix though.
Are you using any package blockers or anything disabled via adb? If yes one app too many was blocked

I am not.
I've ran into this problem but only when having a unstable Wi-Fi connection. Specifically a bad power supply on the router.
And a lot of business wifi like in hospitals and stuff they have blocking software to keep the employees from watching movies and game of thrones and things like!

So, no one has found a solution to the stuck-at-99% download problem for Google Play Store?

Only Google.
I'm experiencing this problem as well (Samsung Galaxy Note 10+). This started happening 2 days ago.
Also, another strange thing is happening: The Blue light filter, and Digital Wellbeing grayscale filter, are not starting/stopping at the correct times, they are delayed (sometimes by hours).
The worst part is, my previous phone (Galaxy Note 8) had the exact same issue(s). I endured it for a long time. I was excited to ditch the Note 8 for a phone that worked... Oh well
I generated a debug log, and I'm combing through it now. I don't understand everything I'm looking at.
Here are some attempted fixes, that did _not_ fix the issue on the Note 8:
* Clearing the Google Play store and services caches.
* Removing my Google account, then signing back in.
* Factory reset, then reinstalling everything from scratch. (The issue started happening again, within 1 day.)

Thanks for your response. I just tried this, disabled the Google Play app, then restarted the device. I re-enabled Google Play, unfortunately the issue is not fixed. I'm looking at my 13 pending updates, the first one (Nova Launcher) is stuck at 100%, and is not moving/updating at all.

Thank you very much!
I double-checked that apps were unable to update (Netflix was stuck at "77%"). I disabled the Google app, and restarted the phone. I left Google disabled.
... Netflix took longer to update (it stalled at "77%" again), but it did finish successfully. Now the other apps are downloading and installing! Nice. Hopefully this is a permanent (or at least reproducible) solution to the issue.
Do you know *why* the Google app would be interfering with app updates? I'm genuinely curious.

Did you find out what was causing this issue? I have had to disable my "google" app to allow updates. Are you using a s8 ? We should compare apps to see if something we have in common is causing this issue.

Yes i disabled it, but that must be related to another issue. my girlfriend has the same s8 and no issues. Must be related to multiple google accounts or something that differs from my phone to hers.
Perhaps fully off-topic or just the solution, did you disable or remove Chrome? I know my Note 9 shows similar behaviour when I debloat and remove Chrome. Once I updated the WebView app all runs fine. So I always update WebView before anything else. But then again I only notice this behaviour once I remove or disable Chrome browser.

Question Phone constantly crashing and rebooting issue -> Help

As already mentioned in other Posts, my Vivo X90 Pro Plus is really unstable. As I don't know if I'm the only one having these issues and as it's not so evident, I decided to create a new Post about it.
I quickly installed after receiving the phone Google Play Store like a lot of people I guess, then many apps. I'm using quite a lot the GPS applications, and they seem well working. But the first thing I observed and didn't understand was the WiFi speed. It seems when downloading a big file by WiFi to be slow compared to my other phones even older in technologies and on the same router connection and at the same distance. Then I had a lot of crashes of the phone. A lot during the use of GPS Apps like Google Maps and WAZE, but not only. I was thinking it was due to the Debloat script I applied, but after doing a complete Erase and trying without the script, I observed the same. I did try to take a Log of the OS to check but as I'm not so specialized in these logs, I would need help of someone knowing the Logcat and their readings if possible... Because it's not clear for now if it's Hardware and need to change phone, or Soft or OS... I observed when it start crashing, it can be even every 5 minutes and becoming worst and worst and consumes a lot of the battery without any specific reason.
As it seems I can't attach here the Logcat file, here's the link to it;

Thanks a lot

Without Google Play it's difficult to say, as I can't use the phone without anything installed and I don't speak Chinese. But without the Debloat also, yes.

Then the issue is being caused by Google apps and services. Where did you install those from?
Also, try deleting app data for Android System Webview and Chrome. These have been responsible for several app crashes in the past.

I haven't seen the logcat as I won't make anything out of it.
I would stay away from apkpure though because I don't trust that site.

What version debloat script did you use?
Hi, that's ok. From the logcat I understood there was an issue with the app "Weather Widget" I installed and got used to and all GPS apps. After removing and cleaning its data, the problem is solved. There are no issues with the apps coming from apkpure. This app was coming from the Google Market and caused this issue. Thanks for your help.
But to refer to a comment, I've indeed yet a lot of error messages related to "Android System Webview" which should be updated when there are no update available. Like for Email checks, it seems often causing issues.
