Hi guys,
I sold my iPhone 6 and I bought the Oneplus3t a week ago. With this new phone, the other side cannot hear my voice when their voice is on speaker. I'm guessing the issue is with noise canceling or something like that. This happens with normal phone calls and the ones using Wifi such as Whatsapp and Skype. An issue like this related to the most primitive function of a phone makes me regret my purchase.
Could someone confirm the fact that I'm totally screwed by this Chinese company? At least, I'll have peace of mind and will never get near this type of junk.

I got my Wings around December 26th and since then I notice sounds coming out of my Dell Desktop.
With time I was able to identify the sound with activity on the S730, at the moment I know when a call is coming before the phone rings, the computer makes a sound and a second or so later the phone rings. This happens without the phone connected through bluetooth or USB.
Same sound is coming from the baby monitor when the phone is about a foot from it.
Am I the only one with this?
J
I have this with every device if it is near a speaker...
Everytime when an SMS is incomming it makes a strange sound... that's normal
No its natural. These devices are picking up the signal, the phone recieves it processes it and makes the correct noise and preps for your input before alerting you. Whereas the speakers just make a sound.
Lots of places that require headsets and such do not want phones even on some times due to the interferance. Like TV studio's; Wireless micraphones, communication headsets and IFB's to the talents ears.
Its normal and everyone gets it, may not notice but eh.
It happens with all phones, not uncommon on Live news reports to hear the tell tale blip blip blip of an SMS going through.
I realised recently just how much my phone is talking to the exchange server, I just read an email and it's "blip de blip de blip" updating my phone straight away (which is a good thing!)
Yes it is common and this service communication "feature" between BTS and mobile is used on all Chinese blinking and alerting gadgets for detection incoming calls.
Got a replacement HTC Pure and when I call someone/receive a call, the person can hear me fine, however I can only hear them on speakerphone. Anyone else know a workaround for this or will I have to send it in for a different one?
Route your audio
Route your audio with this program;
AudioRoute
This tool can be used to route the audio from the earpiece speaker to the backspeaker and vice versa.
Hope this helps,

This problem is usually caused by a failure of the internal speaker unit. This unit is often available on EBay Australia (and presumably internationally) for about $A10. It is very easily fitted and a cure usually takes only a few minutes once you have the component.
Let me know if you need a descriprion of the replacement process. But it is easy and obvious.

I have the same problem and i found this:

I haven't placed an order yet but i will. Even if this is not the cause of the problem, it's so cheap it certainly deserves a try!
Just like some other models, the famous Noise Cancellation problem arrived IS.
Situation:
When a normal headphone (without mic) plugged in, or
When the handset is plugged to car kit
Problem:
Noise Cancellation activated and the other side cannot hear anything.
Workaround:
Unplug your phone and talk to it direct. Are we using a smartphone or stupidphone?
Solution:
1. Pray someday HTC will release an update, or
2. Pray someone can root IS and release an utility to deactivate Noise Cancellation
For 1, everyone here please test for yourself, and report to HTC support. I am not sure if they will release an update but at least they are polite enough to talk to. For 2, just pray.

Pay attention to the word "plugged". Yeah... bluetooth stereo headphones are fine too.
Hy! i have my IS since a week... i have the same promlems, nobody can hear my on the other side while i am driving....
when i am calling from home its alright. I dont understand how is it possible? please somebody help me!!!!!!!
I called HTC support about this issue and they replied it's a "feature" of the noise cancellation function. I really hope IS can be rooted soon so we can sort out the problem ourselves.
Same here, they gave me the same reply. But then I asked, is the "feature" intends to prevent user from using headphones or car kits, they cannot give me an answer but said they forward the case to the engineerin dept. Hope something can be done next.
Sent from my HTC Incredible S using XDA App
Same problem here.
Fixed by Gingerbread!!! Yay!!!
Are you sure?
Yesterday I've talked to HTC germany and told them what they have to do to disable this crap feature.
Every HTC since Nexus One have this Problem.
It's in the build.prop, you have to change one single line...
On my phone it's now working fine, but I'm S-Off and rooted.
I've told HTC yesterday how-to fix this problem.
They say, that there are to few persons, who told there this problem.
Yes, I can also confirm that the GB upgrade fixes the mic problem with normal headphones.
Besides, I can no longer hear that little echo of my own voice I used to hear during a call. Just hope HTC didn't disable noise cancellation as a solution for this.
I have a new Huawei P30 pro from a friend of mine. I recognized that the mobile was already repaired and the main platine was replaced already.
I recognize that when I phone with my gf on the USB c headphones I have always troubles. Mainly when the call gets established I hear voice scramble and jitters. Only at the beginning and than it works. So I could blame the headset.
But I recognized now that hearing my voice mail box via loud speakers I have the same problem.
Running 9.1.0.193.
Somebody else experienced similar problems? And if so, how did you solve it?
Hi,
I am having some issues when I talk with people thru my car's bluetooth.
When I start a call, after a random period of time, the people that I speak with are telling me that they are not understanding my voice which is becoming like a robot. During these calls, if i change the sound output to my phone and revert back to car, my voice is becoming clearer but it is happening in almost all my conversations.
Did anyone encountered a similar issue or know a possible fix?
Thanks,
No issues here
This one is okay it's my first case.
Feels plastic~e (if that's even a word.. ) but hey whatever protects the most expensive phone I've ever bought. Only thing I don't like is the hole for your fingerprint.
if anyone alse encounters bluetooth issues with phone calls / car. When you use stock Phone app you dont have this issue. Also you can enable bluetooth gabeldorsche from developer options to ensure smoother bluetooth connections...
