General S5 Review

Hello,
I currently have an AT&T Galaxy S4, I really like this phone. However I'm looking forward to buy Galaxy S5. I have asked a few of my friends to share their experience about S5 and their review was not quite good. I want to know is there any major with S5 or not.
Also mention minor S5 problems. Thanks.

Fingerprint .... sucks....but youll get learned with that after some times[emoji6]

Ah not at all......when you play rreally high graphics game it will get too hot usually after 1 hour..

Short verison : if you really want an economic...fast charcing (1hour 30 min full battery) ...high perfomance...get this phone...of course after some time its perfomance will decrease....but you can install coustom roms....anyway do want you want.....

Hi there, I'm probably going to buy a Meizu Pro 6 Plus and I was looking for costom ROMs and...... really does not exist anything for this very good device? And..why?

Only if it's a stock (original) rom

Now Pro 6 are very cheap in Bangood, but I hace a Meizu Pro 5 and I dont recomended Pro 6 with Flyme, its horrible, it seem always in beta, I had a lot of problems, I nerver have a perfect phone. And you will have problems with Google Play with the certificades, Meizu dont pay to Google

I also had a pro 5 some years ago, great device with a bad flyme and updates
Maybe i will try pro 6 plus for the price, nice screen, good battery and performance and audio dac, but yeah, meizu ruins all with bad flyme and updates
i don´t understand how meizu can ruin everything with this bad ui

So this phone is at banggood at 170/200 euros, it´s a nice price for this
There are a lot of people that are buying this right now, no one can make custom rom like faust did with pro 5?

Full Screen Contact/Caller ID Pic In-Call

Finally got back on Samsung after a break from my Note 3, with a Note 8, carrier unlocked U.S.. One thing I miss is having full screen call/contact pics. For the life of me I cant figure out why they would make the contact pic so small when making, receiving or in progress of a call. Its pretty close to the size of the send/end call button. I guess maybe its a Nougat thing, because my V20 was the same way. Question is, does anyone have any insight into a remedy for this. Non-Root remedy perhaps.. Any themes or anything of that nature that may exist with full screen caller ID/Contact pic. Thanks in advance

Same here...Waiting since s8 got oreo beta...
@RequeLine any hopes..

It was best during Note 2, 3, 4 days where really we used to have caller image as that of size of screen size. Developer like Poppuri had best of it. Now a days all half screen image are seen in Oreo custom roms except some apps in play store.

Figured I would drop back in on the off chance that someone has come up with a fix. The link in this thread worked fine until Oreo came around. And as of now, only the European version has the capability of larger contact/in call pics. Anyone have any luck with US unlocked version?

Hello, did somebody got the beta in the beta app ? Because I have a P20 Pro and nothing appears in available projects in the beta app :/

It couldn't be possible because since IFA I checked every 5 minutes and still nothing :/
EDIT : Same on my GF's Honor 10 C432

Not sure what to tell you. It's the same for me in the UK. It shows nothing is available. I'm sure there was only 100 slots. I could be wrong.

Yeah, I saw a lot of websites that said it will take a moment for the project to appear in the app so.... We should wait maybe :/
I also remember last year with my P10 Plus I wanted to go to the EMUI 8 project but it said it was full, so full or not it is supposed to appear

I anyhow only see CLT-L29 8.1.0. FWs and not 9.
Nevermind.. Found. Pretty expensive to get a copy of FW that they do not own.

OMG I actually remember I have 1 credit since I rebranded my P20 Pro from C33 to C432 so I can install it soooo lucky ?
BTW if I get stuck or anything like that... How can I rollback to EMUI 8 ? Pretty scared now :/ If someone could try to see if it's safe it would be cool ?

I think I misread it. It says he made it public. Not sure if that actually means just it's been released from him or he's released it to the public haha

So I charged my P20 Pro to 100% and now it's discharging so i'l tell you when it's gonna be fully discharged BTW the battery is not displayed in days but in hours now ( like 36 hours remaining). So there is many bugs, like some animation lags but it's not important at all, also some lags with the blur in the multitasking, but it's not important. EMUI 9 is really smooth, and I ran an Antutu benchmark, and it scored 125K, 15k more than EMUI 8 wich was at 110k. So yeah, really smooth.

I am not saying its bad but a reliable face unlock would have been better with this 1st gen tech.
basically i like both but on comparison i like mate 20 Pro slightly better

I agree as far as implementation may be better . but 6T was the first to have it! keeping that in mind as far as the speed that you mentioned it's the way he recorded the video if you watched it

Actually Hauwei had it first. Unless you are talking about oppo.

huawei mate rs porsche and vivo nex were first to use the in display scanner.
speed feels faster in 6t because no pressure is needed but mate 20 needs pressure to be applied

6T was the first to have it in the US only. Definitely not the first when you consider intl. market

when i isaid first in video i didnt mean literally the first to use.
I wanted to mean first gen tech.
Why be the frontrunners in implementing a first gen tech in a low cost VFM device and sacrificing useful functionality

Even i didnt like the implementation either.
OnePlus has become greedy.
For US markets thats fine since 500$ smartphone is rare may be.
But with asian context the company is bringing nothing new.
Slow death for sure.

for me it was ok, not that bad. but I found OnePlus 6 to be much better value after using 6T.

I checked further and both fingerprint and face unlock work simultaneously even when screen is off. once u start pressing on scanner!!
But atleast huawei doesn't cheat in that respect and informs on lockscreen that it was unlocked by face unlock!!
