My first OnePlus device was the OnePlus One that I got with an invite way back in 2014. That set me back about $380, but now that our dollar is in the gutter, this device is going to be setting me back way more. I will probably be purchasing this device regardless, but before then, anyone have pre-purchase thoughts?
(and yes, the moment I get this device I will be working on bringing up CarbonROM for it)

Hey
I was considering starting a thread for us up North, thanks for starting the discussion already
As you already alluded to one area I am worried about is the retail price for the device given our weak currency.
I do hope that OnePlus continues their staunch commitment to the development community. I love the fact that the OnePlus 3/3T rivals even the Pixel devices for third party ROM support.
If they could add dual front facing speakers would be fantastic, coupled with a large enough battery could win me over. Oooh the wait is is feeling like forever!

My particular Canadian OnePlus 5 requirement is that the phone fully supports Rogers LTE bands. I would be buying an unlocked version and definitely not from Rogers or any other telecom. I am also a hacker who expects all the same flexibility seen from OnePlus for the 3 and 3T. If that is so then it will be a smooth transition from my Nexus 5 which was rooted within my first 10 minutes of fully charging.
Also I'd expect local price not to be different than the exchange rate of the same product sold in the US. No gouging tolerated. I wonder if OnePlus will use Amazon as an exclusive distributor as they are in other counties or you'll still have the option of buying through the OnePlus web site? Sometimes I feel that Amazon.ca price gouges specifically on phones.
Dude, I remember you doing the Temasek build for the opo. I have an OP3, right now but will probably update to the OP5, once out. Which Rom are you building for now. Just Carbon Rom or others.? Also any thought on bringing EAS to OP5. I know the main dev. Zach or RenderBroken, which ever name you want to go by is planning on buying and developing for the OP5.?

Hey, I actually didn't build temasek but I did Pure Nexus and SlimSaber with Sultanxda's CAF trees. And yes I'll probably just be doing CarbonROM as that is my main project. I've heard that porting EAS is a pita and I'm not sure if that's something I want to spend my time doing. Hopefully my buddy Zach can do that for us
OK kool either way. Good to see a good dev, getting an op5.

Actual costs for us up north
Hola
Just sharing my order details to provide costs:
1 x OnePlus 5 Slate Gray 6GB RAM + 64GB Storage --- CAD$ 649.00
1 x OnePlus 5 Exclusive Welcome Bundle --- CAD$ 109.80 but discounted to CAD$ 54.90 for early bird purchase
Includes
Dash Type-C Cable 100 cm
OnePlus Bullets (V2) White
OnePlus 5 Protective Case Karbon
OnePlus 5 3D Tempered Glass Screen Protector Black
Subtotal CAD$ 758.80
Discount CAD$ 54.90
Tax CAD$ 91.50
Shipping CAD$ 0.00
Grand total CAD$ 795.40
No shipping info provided yet.
Checking out the OnePlus site using the early adopter code "Clearer Photos" I could see the $649 (6GB/64GB) and $719(8GB/128GB) prices. Their not much higher than the straight US exchange rate for today.
I compared that to Amazon.ca prices for a Galaxy S8 that included a Samsung warranty (~$986CND 4GB/64GB). Sure it has expandable storage and a larger wrap around screen and arguably a better camera but that price difference, at least for me is too much.
Unless the reviews really hate the OP5 then the 8GB/128GB Midnight Black version is for me. At least the Verge's hands on review hammers the OP5 Camera but for me price and developer/openness mean more plus I don't care about the IP rating. I would have liked a QHD mode but I still look at my color tuned Nexus 5 1080p screen and its great for the screen size. Obviously your feature preference is completely personal.
I'd like to hear what DAC their using and how the headphone audio quality holds up. Right now I'm likely to buy in after the more in depth reviews are posted from my usual trusted sources.
WARNING: Standard Shipping & Hidden Customs Fees
OnePlus is including the following warning to all Canadian purchases in your order confirmation:
"Canadian customers: please be aware that with Priority shipping, all customs fees are included in your total at checkout. Should you be charged again by DHL, send us your tax invoice and we will reimburse you. With Standard shipping, we don't charge customs fees at checkout, however the US Postal Service may collect this from you while your package is in transit."
If you are concerned about these possible hidden customs fees and you already have made your purchase you cannot simply have OnePlus change the delivery method even if has not been shipped. To be fair this information is posted in the FAQ section of the OnePlus web site. See:
Do I need to pay custom or Import charges?
How do I change my shipping method after placing my order?
Admin please make this a sticky post.
Hola
So I don't get it... I am reading from the https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5/how-to/oneplus-5-delivery-shipping-status-t3624695 that some of us Canadians have already received notice of actual shipping or actual date of delivery. I have not yet received any info other than DHL showing that shipping info has been received, the OnePlus order page a potential delivery date of June 26.
Have any of you seen any updates to your shipping info? I am in the GTA, about 30 min drive to the main DHL cargo center near Pearson airport. Yes I am one impatient SOB

I'm still hazy on what impact not having band 13 will have when using LTE on Rogers. My initial Googling didn't reveal anything substantial. I think the OP3T had the same missing band and there are lots of posts with people on Rogers with LTE access and speeds?
Do you know what the impact is? My OP5 is actually on the DHL truck out for deliver as I write this.

I will collect all buying advices for all regions for the new nexus 7.
1. For Europe
propably the cheapest solution is toget it from ebuyer.com through boarderlinx i used google checkout and my order was accepted.
a stock warning after ordering is afaik normal because they don't have it in stock yet.
2.Asia
I think you are stugged with buying it from ebay.com or find a importer (there are afaik now some good ones in japan and southkorea specialized on tech a friend of mine bought a kindle fire there 2 days after release the prices are mad though).
please calculate with import taxes!!
have you found a good australian site?

Ebay is not an option for me since it will probably be slow since sellers would like the devices before starting an actualy auction. Also it WILL be more expensive.
I would like to be able to use something like Borderlinx.com , but problem right now is in google checkout which won't take a credit card from just any country.
Well the only hurdle is: Google Checkout only accepts US/UK and so on Cards for the play store to actually buy the device.
For the rest: borderlinx + proxy. But since the important stuff, payment, does not work... I just hope they sell it retail soon.

also remember there is 25 in shipping and tax out the gate from google so expect to pay for that to, but for us users that isnt to much of an issue considering the 25 gift card from google.
We foreigners would need a virtual credit card issued in the UK for non UK residents. The nexus could be shipped to a borderlinx address.
Has anyone an idea where to get a virtual credit card issued in the UK?

Do they accept PayPal on the GooglePlay store?
No, they don't. CC only.
Then either we somehow get UK credit card, or wait. It'll probably sell out and I doubt I'll have it before the end of August.
Okay, so I successfully placed an order but it got canceled a few hours later ; here's what happened.
1. Used a service called Entropay to create a virtual global visa credit card.
2. Registered a Borderlinx account and recieved a "suite adress" in the UK from Borderlinx.
3. Used a free UK vpn called Bestukvpn, to access the play store and place the order.
The order got through, I received an Order Receipt and an E-mail from Google Wallet confirming the credit card was valid and they could charge and fulfill the order.
Fast forward about 3 hours. I get an E-mail telling me my order of the Nexus 7 got canceled due to "We were unable to verify the account information for your recent purchase with Google Wallet. As a result, your account has been temporarily suspended and your recent order has been cancelled".
What I have to do to fix this is to scan and send a few credentials. ID or drivers license and billing and shipping scans proving it's where I live and I own the credit card.
This is such a hassle that I now give up.
Engadget posted some information regarding availability in stores in the uk. It will probably be a lot easier to order via one of the stores to Borderlinx. Does anyone have any experience with any of the retailers in the post from Engadget? maybe eBuyer?
Hope this information was helpful.
hm i think carphone warehouse would work if they would take paypal and you have the proxy real adress from england

My guess is the whole world will get one soon enough. Asus would have channels in most countries plus no need for carrier deals etc. with no 3G functionality to deal with. It'll mostly just be about certifying it as non threatening/toxic to local authorities. I sure hope Asus sells them here in their home country licketty split....C'mon Johnny!!!

I guess Google won't make much of a profit by selling the device. I think their plan is to finance it with what they will sell in the play store which isn't possible in a lot of countries, so the country restrictions are understandable...
So back to how we get it anyway I just found out that you can already preorder the 16GB Version on ebuyer.com with an expected shipping date on July 27th for £199. The bad news is, that they won't ship it outside the UK, the good news is that they accept PayPal. Using Borderlinx to get the Tablet to Germany (in my case) it will add up to 268,78€ (247,64€ for the N7 and 21,14€ for shipping with borderlinx) which I don't think is too much more than we would pay if it was avaiable in our own country.

The 16GB version is available for pre-order on a Finnish web store (verkkokauppa) with 2-4 week delivery time. This is a company that has a web store as well as brick and mortar stores you can walk in to, so it looks like we get to enjoy jelly beans during the July if we are lucky. No word about the 8GB model.
And now the downside: The price has been listed as 449,90€. (Yes that is approx 565 USD including tax!) Although this company is known for posting a considerably higher price for the pre-order items before they can deliver, like 999€ for a phone that ended up being sold for 599€ etc. So no idea what the final price will be (until they answer my mail).
I myself am a bit on the edge with my buying decision. We don't get all the google play store goodies here in Finland. Also the device has no SD-card. I might get it after playing with it in the store though if it really impresses me.
Most of us who pre-ordered are a little peeved to say the least with how pre-orders were handled. After reading threads about quality issues, etc., with those able to buy from B&M last week, I'd like to know what people's impressions are of the device who ordered from the Play Store.
Edited thread title for clarity...
Did Google hold back to fix last minute issues? Were these a different batch than the retailer-reserved units? We can only speculate.
Most of us will receive the device tomorrow it seems. I personally will not be able to open mine until I return home from business on Friday, but there will be thousands waiting for that UPS guy to show up!
The purpose of this thread, fellow Play Store buyers, is to post your impressions, especially on issues like the left side screen clip, ghosting, flickering, yellow spots, battery life, etc. I'll be adding mine on Friday. Hopefully the vast majority of us have defect free devices. If yours is perfect, post that as well.
What happened? I ordered mine on the 13th, which I guess wouldn't be preorder since it came out that day. lol
I haven't even received a shipping notification yet... No way anything is happening anytime soon, it seems.
Really ticks me off, I have to admit!
Why would I ever want to buy from Google Play again, if other (brick & mortar) stores have already sold out a few days ago?
Besides, it makes me realize how much more professional Apple handles these roll-outs. And I thought only Verizon stinks (see Galaxy Nexus roll-out).

Got a C6 from Gamestop this Saturday with no issues at all. More happy with the quality of the N7 out of the box than my previous Asus 201 tab
Way to go on reading skills there. Simply read the post and it is clear. My device will be at my house tomorrow, as it will be for thousands of others that ordered from the play store. Whether I'm there or not I open it until 3 days later is irrelevant. I would have created or posted to a thread like this regardless.
QC is a legitimate question to ask for a brand new device and there are some mysteries about this launch that make it doubly valid to find this out.

Gotcha. This should help to see if there's any pattern to QC problems. At this point I'm guessing it's just random though since they are probably all C6's.
I'm very disappointed by the Play store.
1. Stores were able to sell their stock earlier than Google.
2. The $25 credit sounded like an exclusive, which is why I pre-ordered, but looks like every N7 has the credit regardless of purchase location.
3. Shipping cost, why am I paying $19.99 if I can order the same device somewhere else with free shipping and still get the credit.
Thinking of cancelling my order tomorrow and waiting to buy in-store or from another online retailer.

Cmon man... don't post this stuff here. It's not a ***** fest about the pre order. Most of us are upset... there's lots of threads about it. Shipping box size and how well packed
No I have not received mine yet, but I am asking from those that do to included a description of packaging for all of us (from NZ and AUS) ordering from Google Play USA to determine cost of freight forwarding and/or whether to get them to re pack or not.
Air freight internationally is often charged by volumetric weight this is determined by size not actual weight. We know the Nexus 7 UPS states shipping weight is 1.6 or 1.7lbs.
Can anyone give the size of the shipping box? I estimate from youtube video to be 10 x 7 x 5 inches, can anyone confirm? If so this is a volumetric weight of 3lbs.
Also can someone comment on how well it is packed?
I pre-ordered 2 units from play store as soon as the page was live, I was able to buy a n7 from a B&M store yesterday and I have no word on the status of my deliveries yet from google. I'll post again once I receive the shipment of 2 to let you know if there are any discernable differences.
It seems that you can now pre-order this phone SIM free from Unlocked Mobiles for a 3rd October delivery, which is sooner than what some are expecting.
I am not aloud to post links on this forum yet it would seem, so go to Unlocked-Mobiles dot co dot uk and then select the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 in the Model drop down box at the top of the page.
Seems exspensive, about 1000 USD after tax or 750 EUR.

Still too expensive. I counted up to 650 at most.
Price will drop a bit till then. 650 still a lot (for not-iPleople )
I paid £630 for my Note 3 on release last year... 5 weeks later people were picking it up for £580 or so, price will drop it always does.. I'm toying with it.. Not a major Samsung lover these days though. So will be a tough decision.
I found some prognosis of the price searcher. It says Note 4 will drop significantly in first 3 months, like previous ones:

Yeah it will be 40% cheaper after Xmas.
After my N3 experience I am reluctant to spent that kind of money again on Samsung.
N4 is only worth £350-400 at most.

First shops are showing a price of 850 euros. Doubt that a lot of people will pay that price. Samsung is playing the game of Apple!
Should be around 600 euros to be a success. Note 4 does not bring enough plus compare to Note 3 and has lost USB 3 which does not make sense to me! That was of a big help mainly with huge SD Card it can support and huge video files you can capture...
I predict the price will drop faster this year thanks to the iphone 6 plus

This is all very conflicting. The UK launch is set for the 10th of October, I know that the Experience Stores often do a special opening the day before which ties in obviously with the 9th but this information along with pre-ordering isn't anywhere on their websites. at £599 it appears to be more expensive than many other price quotes too.

£629 same price as Note 3 at launch last year. If you want it cheaper wait 3 months.

I am talking about the OP quoting a £599 price. Where did you get your £629 price from? I realise waiting 3 months will be cheaper obviously! But Clove Technology for example, are quoting a £575 price Inc VAT which again is all conflicting.

I also noticed that only the Samsung pre-order allows purchase of the gold/bronze version (the one I ordered). Other sites such as Clove and Amazon Germany only offer the black/grey and white options.
I still find it bizarre that the price of the Note drops everywhere but Canada after launch. The Note 3 has stayed at $750 since launch here. Good for early adopters at least.

Thanks. That makes it clearer. Though why Samsung can't offer better deals to pre-orders I don't know. I think it might be better to wait a few days and save a lot of money.
Good to see you by the way, it was all about the K Zoom I believe last time we spoke??

I read the Do Not Buy the T-Mobile OnePlus 6t post and concluded, like I am sure many of you did, that I would need to pay full price for the unlocked version from OnePlus to get the freedom I wanted. Then I read this on androidpolice.com
"T-Mobile versions of the phone will be carrier and bootloader locked as expected, but a mechanism for their unlocking is described. Once devices are paid off in full and utilized on the network for at least 40 continuous days, they can be carrier unlocked, at which point you can request an unlock token for bootloader unlocking from OnePlus. The phone can also be paid off early even if you elect to use the payment plan for the $300-off promo, and bill credits will continue to be received"
Source: https://www.androidpolice.com/2018/...mobile-version-restrictions-bootloader-betas/
and subsequently chatted with a T-Mobile rep(screenshots below) and have changed my mind. The Do Not Buy the T-Mobile OnePlus 6t post completely mischaracterized the situation and failed to acknowledge many key points. The only good reason to buy the T-Mobile is for the bill credits and I believe the "drawbacks" are worth the $300.
The supposed drawbacks are as follows.
1. Only one version. Mirror Black 128gb
Do not know how you could use 128gb let alone twice that, and the frosted black scratches more easily anyway(JerryRigEverything's video)
2. You can't get the $300 bill credit if you pay off the phone immediately.
Incorrect. Despite multiple sources online saying otherwise, you can pay off the phone and still get bill credits according to a T-Mobile rep I spoke with. (screenshots below) The rep states that you should wait till your first bill cycle to pay off phone to be safe(I will be doing so) but even if you pay immediately and don't receive the credits its nothing a call to customer service wouldn't fix.
3. You have to wait 40 days to carrier unlock
Incorrect. Carriers will keep their customers at all costs. If you call customer service saying you are leaving the country they will happily unlock the phone early.
Source:
https://www.androidauthority.com/t-mobile-oneplus-6t-bootloader-unlock-922051/
4. Have to wait 1-2 weeks for bootloader unlock token
No argument here, I can wait 2 weeks to save $300.
5. Only one sim slot.
It appears that the only difference is the sim tray, not the actual slot hardware so there will almost certainly be sim tray modding tutorials. Apparently, the device has a different modem with only one IMEI so dual SIM may not be possible at all but this is still unresolved and most likely hackable.
I just spent like an hour putting this together so show me some love and get this higher then the Do Not Buy the T-Mobile Post.

I actually ended up getting my OnePlus 6T from T-Mobile today. I had my old OnePlus One, which I did love when I used it, but I felt that this trade in deal was too hard to pass up.
I was talking to my store's representative during my purchase, who told me that I wouldn't get my credits early if I paid it off early. I generally did leave the store feeling a bit unsure, so before I even unboxed my 6T, I ended up calling in myself and the representative I spoke with told me otherwise--that if you pay off early once the promo has actually been approved, then you'll continue to receive the credits overtime and that it would ideally be 40 days with service before I could request a SIM unlock.
To defend more your points more concerning the Mirror Black 128GB version: The T-Mobile variant is the version with 8GB of RAM, which is future proofing the device and overall going to make for better memory management. I ordered dBrand skins this morning to both customize my phone's look and to protect the phone's glass back. Only an extra $10-$15 to do so.
I truly sat on the promo and thought if it would be worth it or not, and once I saw it was ending tomorrow, I deemed it was worth it myself. Getting $300 off, which is only $50 less than what my the One cost back in 2014, is an amazing deal for a device like this. I've enjoyed my few hours with the 6T and am excited to use it now over my Galaxy S8.
Agreed. People are so early to cry out in panic without bothering to do the research. Hopefully in the next week or so we will start seeing actual development pop up supporting the TMobile variant. I bought the TMobile variant and aside a few updates and minor hurdles I'm more than happy. This is an awesome device, unlocked or not.
People just need to stay patient and let us do what we do best here at XDA. Mod the **** out of stuff and make all kinds of fun stuff.
Now maybe the developer in me is saying this, but I welcome the challenge. I like having things to work on.
Let's do it up right and drop the constant slew of negativity.
It is a good deal... Unless you have JOD... When I went to the store to buy mine the system wouldn't let me finance with the promo under my JOD plan... And I would have to change to the basic ONE plan... So I took a hard pass on that...
The JOD plan was a truely "Uncarrier" plan that I plan on keeping for as long as possible.
I got the phone the second day it came out. I traded a LG G6 that was almost 2 years old. I held off the Samsung phones for a good reason..
This is a killer deal. And not a lot of casual people are taking it for granted. Maybe because there's no gimmicky marketing to shove down their throats.
I will be definitely be paying this phone off early.

This deal was perfect for me. My old N6 was due for a replacement, and I have a grandfathered T-Mobile plan that I'll never drop. As soon as I saw the $300 off promotion for trading my old N6 for the Oneplus 6T, I jumped on it immediately. Where else can I get a SD 845, 8GB ram, 128GB storage, 6.4" AMOLED, 3700mAh phone with specs similar to flagships for $300?
I knew going in that the bootloader was locked, and I may have to wait two years until I paid off my phone before I could unlock it. Every single phone that I have ever owned until now was unlockable and rootable, but this deal was too good to pass. I was considering paying of the phone early and maybe getting it unlocked in a few months. But after a few attempts I got T-Mobile to sim unlock my phone, and I expect that OnePlus will send me the unlock file within two weeks. So this deal is great if you already are with T-Mobile and have an old eligible phone lying around. And who really cares if the T-Mo variant comes in shiny black, it will end up in a case anyway.

You can use JOD if you pay off your current device in full.
Or you can just search Facebook market/Craigslist for a cheap iPhone 6, Galaxy S6, Nexus 6, or some other phone you can find for $60-$100. And still get $200+ off of the phone.
I am getting it via JOD on the 28th. I don't care about the sim unlock or even the bootloader unlock. I did a JOD upgrade from the S9 to the LG G7 ThinQ on October 29th and got it all setup just as the announcement was made. I had heard rumors about it coming to T-Mobile but I don't trust rumors cause 99% of the time that's all they are.
I have wanted to jump on the Oneplus band wagon for a while but didn't have the means and this partnership is perfect. With this next upgrade I will now stop upgrading monthly, which drives my wife crazy.
Day 1 TMO purchaser here, very happy with the phone. Even though I came from an unlocked S9+ and was apprehensive at first, the $300 deal was too good to pass up. I'm in the same boat as others above have described, our family plan is an older plan that I'd be hard pressed to change.

In order to do the JOD upgrade I had to buy the phone outright but I wanted to be able to unlock the bootloader so with that in mind, if I had to pay the full 580 without a trade in or 380 with a trade in (I was trading my pixel 2xl and 200 wasn't enough for that trade) then it just made sense to buy directly from 1+ which is what I did.
@truckerdewd the 1+ 6t is not eligible for leasing under the JOD.... but if your store rep says otherwise then please let me know.
Correct. Here's what is stated in the official deal for Jump and Jump on Demand.
T-Mobile said:
If I have JUMP! or JUMP! On Demand (JOD), can I still save 50% on a new OnePlus 6T?
If you have JUMP!, you can choose to take advantage of your upgrade benefit if you've paid off 50% of the device OR you can take advantage of this offer if you've paid off (or choose to pay off) your device in full. You have the choice to take advantage of whichever is the better deal works best for you!
To participate in the $300 trade-in on JUMP! or JUMP! On Demand (JOD) you will need to trade in an eligible device that is paid off and then purchase the new device via EIP.
For JUMP!, you can take advantage of this promotion if you have an eligible device, pay off any remaining balance, and trade-in your paid off device.
For JUMP! On Demand (JOD), you must elect to purchase your device and pay off any remaining balance. If the device is an eligible trade-in for this offer, you may trade it in and then take advantage of this offer.

I'm not doing the trade in. I am just doing a a regular JOD upgrade. That is all. I wouldn't be ae to take advantage of the trade anyway if I was gonna go that route cause I am in the hospital right now waiting for surgery.
6T is eligible for JOD. My wife did it last week.
T-Mobile is being intentionally vague. You should be able to do a normal JOD to the 6T without credits and without paying off your current phone and then normal JOD to the OP7 without credits in a few months if T-Mobile carries it.
They want you on EIP and off JOD.

i had a huawei mate 20 pro 8/256 that completely failed network when i switched from at&t to t-mobile
LUCKILY i have had zero issues on t-mobile so far.
the only issue i can recall getting annoyed with is the GPS just saying "waiting for signal" on google maps. i missed my exit and my wife was pissy about my "high priced no-name phone" lol
pretty sure that was more of a glonass issue than a t-mo network problem, and i only saw it once...but it did last about 5 mins or so

This is my review I left for them on TrustPilot..
For The Customers and Giztop
This review reflects my thoughts and experience with GizTop and some key areas I'm hoping GizTop reads to enhance customer service and sales experience.
Please note, your experience might be subjective to demograph and ease of logistics.
This website was brought to my attention via Google and been highly praised by YouTuber FlossyCarter. I was desperate for the new Mi 11 Ultra and I genuinely gave up waiting on my country's Amazon, that are yet to launch the phone till this date soo I bit the bullet and purchased from GizTop.
In all honesty, GizTop wasn't my first choice to buy this phone, and I'm not here to highlight competitors but GizTop was the only website that had the phone along with accessories I needed as well, I ended up picking the 80W wireless charger with some cases and glass screen protector.
Let's start with Logistics, quite frankly the only thing stopping me from giving 5 Stars is the logistics.
I mean, yes, GizTop ships globally with some exceptions. The company ships the phone from Shenzhen China to Hong Kong being their gateway internationally. But this costs a lot of time to deliver.
I made my purchase on the 7th of May 2021, and received my phone on the 31st of May 2021 via Aramex to Qatar.
Your products do avoid customs, which I won't discuss in detail how. I did encounter a customs charge but the value was insignificant soo I didn't find it worthy to argue with the company for, soo kudos to them for making that possible for me.
I found it cute that inside my phone box they left me a little note saying that one of my case is still on the way. I appreciate the small details and communication.
Packaging was flawless, everything was well cushioned are perfectly suitable for transit. My Phone box was opened but I was well aware, it was done to install Google Services, however I'd genuinely be happy if it wasn't done because I am capable of doing that myself. But nonetheless, it didn't bother me as much because I fully intend on unlocking bootloader and installing a custom ROM on it.
On purchased of the Mi 11 Ultra (Chinese Variant), GizTop includes a free 67W power brick as a gift, and I genuinely appreciate that.
Customer service was fantastic for the most, and the support team email and live chat responsed to all my questions and inquiries about my order (all except one relating to my concerns about my tracking status not changed).
Honestly I think the customer service team adopts Western names when chatting with customers. I could be wrong, I'm not assuming, but I've read plenty of reviews as well, with Jessica being the most popular. Fun fact, "Jessica GizTop" was a top search and Google didn't fail to predict when I typed that , because I've seen lots of mixed reviews about Jessica from GizTop. She personally dealt with my order; and on live chat I requested for her specifically because she was responsible for my order. But she did a great job responding all my queries and doubts soo thank you Jessica for doing a great job.
All in all, I'm very satisfied with my products EXCEPT for one, my Nilikin Glass protector for the Mi 11 Ultra drastically reduces the touches registered. As easy as installation looked, I still have corners with air bubbles making their way in. Honestly GizTop, come on now! You guys sell one the most powerful phones money can buy, and accessories do significantly impact the phones experience. Im not sure if my glass protector unit was faulty, but I've seen reviews of people advising to stay away from the protector Ive selected. GizTop if you could do something about it, I'd genuinely appreciate it, because right now I'm in the market for another glass protector that is sustainable for this new phone of mine, if you could sort me out, I'll be more than happy to pick up another good screen protector brand from you guys, or I guess I'll just have to search elsewhere because I want the best for my phone. And I'm sure all potential customers reading this would like that too.
Aside from that, I will go in depth with my other accessories on other forums like XDA very soon, but wrapping this up
If you're desperate for a phone from GizTop;
1. Yes they are a legit company that are China based.
2. Your package delivery time may vary, but don't expect it to be insanely fast. But yes they do deliver on what was promised and well!
3. They're customer service will be happy to help you out.
4. No, just because you're importing this phone from China, doesn't mean you are going to be scammed.
4.1 Their devices are authentic and verified and I vouch for that.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, please thumbs up to help other customers make an educated decision on their investment.
And GizTop, thank you for delivering on my dream phone and making this delivery possible.

oh man this had me Laughing . My wife also said the same thing when i was having connetion issues with tmobile right when i got it. "high priced no-name". But for a while now, I have been getting great connetion and i absolutely Love my mi 11 ultra. I'm also coming from the huawei mate 20 (but in X version). I still use my mate 20 X for work and leave the pretty phone at home
As for Giztop, it took them about 2-3 week to reach me near chicago IL. I was able to hold off on buying the one i really wanted. The marble white version with 16gb/516gb. Giztop was great about sending me notifications and the packaging was done very well. no damage to the original box itself and the phone came pre loaded with google services.
I have had horrible experience. I ordered and paid on may 12 for 7 day delivery. I still don't have the phone
My experience with Giz top has always been great. There is usually a 24 hour turnaround for questions emailed to them. That is merely because of the time difference between Southern California and China. I have ordered approximately five phones from them over the years and I usually have said device in 10 days.
Packaging and service has always been top notch and I highly recommend them. There is a language barrier that can lead to misunerstandings, but if you have done your homework on your device and don't need to ask a lot of questions, like "which bands does it work with in the US" or something like that, you won't have any issue.
Ummmm. Different people different experience. Mine has been horrible

Is the shipping time the issue? Regular free shipping travels via much slower domestic services that also take longer to pass through customs. They also provide the option for DHL services. Packages shipped with DHL usually arrive in 7-10 days. Since I live in San Diego and the package will arrive in LA, I will get it fairly quickly after it clears customs.
On my purchase of my Mi 11 Ultra, I ordered the 8GB ram model, but since it had not been released yet to them, they gave me the 12GB version for the same price, as well as, free shipping with DHL Express shipping.
I also made a huge mistake on my last order. I accidentally ordered two devices and didn't notice my mistake until I had submitted my order. I wrote to them explaining my error and they refunded my money for the second phone via PayPal, no questions asked.

I am not sure how long it had been for you already, but via USPS just means it will take longer. I ordered the CN version, paid $1049 for 12/256 and another $27 for the 67w charger. I unlock the bootloader and flash the Xiaomi.eu rom. Perhaps because I buy the CN version, I never have problems, but you have to remember that most of the supply lines are messed up now and sometimes it takes longer. Just remind them of the discount when your device arrives and they will refund your (PayPal?) account.

I bought the phone and payed for it on May 12th. If they assembly lines are messed up that's not a customer tissue and they should return the money or let them know.
They offer to return $20 out of 29 I pay which is an insult given this is their fault.
Today, on June 8, I'm still trying to figure it out if they did ship or just gave me a number.
I am exhausted of arguing with them even when I told him to return my money they said that it would take up to 10 days

Did you pay via PayPal? Then contact them regarding non delivery of product. If you have recieved a shipping notification that means it's on its way. Due to Covid and other things, like the Trump ban. Things can get hung up in customs and take longer sometimes and while that is not your fault, it isn't really there's either. However, I make all credit card transactions through PayPal, which has it's own convoluted ways that aren't always user friendly, but you will get your money back. BTW, they don't assemble anything. They are but a third party retailer. Xiaomi does the actual assembly and then ships the product to them and Giztop then in turn, sells it to you. That means the phone has to come from mainland China to Honk Kong, then re-shipped to the US. That's two layers of customs that it needs to go through. That aspect can slow things down tremendously.
