crappy gps issue with op3t - OnePlus 3T Questions & Answers

Bought this phone a month back in Gulf. Everything went well but when I returned to India, my GPS is not working as expected. It is showing the satellites, but not locking to even one. Tried with all roms from oos to Los. Everywhere same issue. I cannot complain on hardware because morning it locked in seconds miraculously, as soon I started driving it is not.
Model is a3010

Finally solved the issue.. Just swapped the sim cards. Dunno what was the issue.

"No Sim Card" issue - Sim present

Hi XDA,
I recently re-encountered a problem with my N1, not sure if any body else has, is where the phone doesn't detect your SIM suddenly, giving a "No SIM Card" error, when it was working fine moments agos, after sleeping and waking the phone when i wanted to use it later. Then further reboots only result directly in a no sim error.
Before it happened before reflashing the radio fixed it, but it has suddenly come back today and i've tried everything from 03 -> 06 radios, and CM5.0.6 -> .8 Test5 and still the issue is present, where it no longer detects my SIM.
My SIM works in other phones around the house, and all the other SIMs ive borrowed to test all come up as not detected.
I am in Australia so it would be a PAIN to RMA with HTC, tho i would be in the states for 2 weeks soon so maybe if it is eligible for warranty im not sure.
Has anyone encountered these problems and what were your solutions?

N1 can't get a solid signal in my neighborhood during the day...

Since Wednesday, my phone no longer seems to have enough signal in my area during the day. It works everywhere else in town, but in my home and within a one mile radius I either get No Service, low bars and no data connection, or a Network Busy error when attempting to make calls. At night, this issue seems to go away. I cannot figure out WTF is going on and T-Mobile tech support is no help whatsoever. I've replaced the SIM card, wiped the device, tried stock 2.2 and CM6 ROMs, flashed a few different radio images, and nothing seems to solve the issue. I'm under the impression the phone is going bad, but I have a small glimmer of hope that the problem actually lies with T-Mobile. When this issue first started happening, T-Mobile actually confirmed there was a network service issue in my area, but it had been resolved by the end of the day. However, my N1 hasn't worked properly since.
Additionally, my phone had been bugging me to death about 2.2.1 (which never worked properly; I was running 2.2 rooted, no custom ROM at the time) and I ignored it until Google start spitting out a "2-part" update. The first part worked, but the second part still failed (giving me the common "assert failed" BS with Twitter.apk). That happened Tuesday. I'm not sure if this could be the cause of the issue and the network problem with T-Mobile being just a coincidence. My bootloader changed, but I'm still running the 4.06 radio.
I've got a couple friends who have T-Mobile who are going to swing by this weekend to see if their phone exhibits a signal issue, but aside from that, are there any other things I can do to pinpoint the problem? This is driving me nucking futs. Any help would be appreciated!

Problem with Htc ONE dual sim, 2nd sim

I bought a Htc one dual sim few months ago and havent noticed any problem since lately. For some reason the 2nd sim card does not always get signal even though it shows it got signal.
When it works to call, the other person who is receiving the call sometimes has problem to hear what I say and sometimes i have hard time hearing the receiver.
Anyone know what it could be? Hardware issue or Software issue?
The version i got installed is the Maximus HD.
I have updated/installed Stock firmware and the problem persists. Anyone had the same issue?
i have had this problem with 802w ever since i got it about 2 years ago. Looked around initially, found no solution. It shows no or minimal signals for the second sim. I know it's not a network issue because if you switch the SIM to the first slot, it shows full signals. FYI, also really hard to find custom ROMs for this model..

Intermittent Data Connection on T-Mobile?

I recently updated to the newest Beta OTA (28_170627) a 1-2 days ago, and have not had any issues.
However this morning, after having the 3T on the charger overnight, my data connection seems to pop in for a second, then drops off. I am able to make calls/SMS, but the LTE icon pops up for a second with the exclamation point and then disappears to the "solid triangle" for about 3 seconds. This cycle just continues.
Anyone else have this issue? I tried the SIM card in an iPhone and it seems to connect fine, so I'm thinking it's either a software or hardware issue on the OnePlus 3T. I'm leaning towards not hardware as an ATT SIM card appears to work fine in it. I tried moving my T-Mobile SIM to the second slot with the same results.
Any suggestions on where to go from here before contacting OnePlus?

Update: Tried making a phone call and it showed HSPA ("H") during the call, and when I ended the call LTE/LTE+ is back up and running just fine again. Maybe something on TMobile's end clicked back on, or the phone got its act together. Regardless, hopefully it was just a one-off issue.
T-Mobile had issues this morning. It was reported. Nationwide issues. Happened one other time within the past month also.

I should have thought to look into that first... thanks for the information!

Mi 8 - No SIM/WIFI, random reboots

Hello there
Long story short, I updated my Mi 8 (Global Version) to MIUI 11.0.1.0 before the update got suspended. A few weeks ago, my network provider had some technical difficulties, so I lost the signal a few times throughout the day.
A few days later it happened again, even though my provider fixed everything.
But this time I also lost my WiFi connection and I didn't get it back to work.
After rebooting, my SIM did not get recognized and my phone didn't want to connect to the WiFi network
After rebooting it over and over again for like 10mins, everything worked again.
But this issue occured every day since then.
A few days ago I updated my phone to MIUI 11.0.3.0 and the issue was gone for a day or two.
But now I am experiencing those things again, but this time it usually takes a few seconds and the sim activation service starts again and everything works fine for the next few hours until it happens again.
I will provide a full log later, hopefully someone can figure something out.
I really don't know whether it's a software or hardware issue, but losing signal and WiFi like every hour is driving me crazy and I'd like to avoid resetting my phone....
Oh and by the way, I don't have TWRP installed and it's not rooted or anything else.
Hi,
With me it happened exactly the same, I already paid to solve it and nobody has done it until now. I already lost hope of ever being able to repair
I've been having the same problem.
It's been incredibly frustrating.
[Update:] I went to a local repair shop, it's a hardware related issue.
For everyone else having this issue, try the USSD Code *#06#
If you receive an error, your Baseband Chip may be broken.
At least that's what I was told.
I have unknown baseband, did you replace the baseband chip?
if I put *#06# (no sim card in phone) it just shows up blank white pop-up with label IMEI, but no IMEI number or numbers or nothing else.
Mi8 no signal SIM/WIFI
Hello again
Same problem to my Mi8
When I tap *#06# show my MEID, IMEI1 and IMEI 2
Did you solve the problem ?!
Good morning. I have an MI8 MIUI 11, when I insert the SIM it recognizes it and disconnects itself constantly, the connection is not stable, when I turn on the wifi with the SIM on, the wifi is constantly disconnected and at times the wifi does not turn on, at some point too only the computer was restarted. When I take out the SIM the wifi works stable and well. Any idea of the problem ?? soft or hard? A technician told me that the problem is the display module, but they tested it without the SIM so I calculate that it is not the issue.
Yes, Hardware problem
Confirmed the problem is the baseband, but this cell phone model has the baseband integrated in the SoC (CPU, GPU, NPU and Ram) all one, it seems that it is a soldering problem
