I've had it working before, but it's not working for me at the moment. I've used Beans Gapps and OpenGapps, but both of those packages provide the same results. Do I need a specific kernel ? What do I do to get working OK google when the screen is turned off ?

Gapps issue is the only thing I can think of. I'm not sure if it would be a ROM issue. I'm using RR 5.8.3 20170603 by @apascual89

Which gapps package are you using? I think you can't enable it on pico gapps.
Also the phone must be connected to the charger to detect this while screen is of.

I've used OpenGapps (stock and nano) and Beans Gapps. I did find an article yesterday on getting ok google to work with the screen off by not having to plug the charger in. It's kind of odd that it worked a few weeks ago without having to plug the charger up.

Yaaa bro ... I was waiting for cm 11 for a long ...
Finally feeling proud to be a nexus owner.
Just flashed CM11 an hour ago. There's still a few things not translated properly, but those are very minor flaws. It's fast and smooth. Now i'm waiting for the Themes to be updated, so I can get my favorite look back

Is there an updated gapps for cm11? The play store is broken and the keyboard keeps crashing. Could be because I dirty flashed though.

15 minutes in Bootloop already.......flashed this via CM Updater over 10.2.0.
So i have copied the Zip file (196.54 MB) from PC into the CM Folder on my Mako.
Any suggestions?
I know its not necessary but I have installed the latest bootloader: makoz30d and baseband: radio-mako-m9615a-cefwmazm-2.0.1700.97 on Nexus 4. Are they supported and will that boost performance ? Flashed through TWRP 6.3.3 and wiped system, dalvik and cache but not data. Everything is working rock solid till now. Thanks.

Derp. Thanks that's what I get for trying to play with a new build so late at night.
I actually found and installed the PA gapps package and that helped immensely. The only other thing I've had to do was uninstall/reinstall Google voice. Before I did that the phone was running hot (something was keeping the CPU awake). Seems to be running okay now though.

I reserve the right to be wrong but I think the baseband and boot loader didn't change from 4.3 to 4.4. At least my handset already had the versions that ate shipping in the factory 4.4 image package.

In the meantime i have done a full wipe and installed the ROM. Then i missed the Gapps so downloadeed them too. Re-installed everything and now it's running fluently.
No bugs recognized ... yet.
Question; is the new Radio and Bootloader really necessary?
Thanks in advance...

well I'm 2 for 2 on the migration to CM11
I would say modem / bootloader upgrades are recommended based on how poor my handset worked as a phone today...
EDIT: I figured out why I missed the bootloader / modem update. I downloaded the factory image and unpacked it, then looked at the file names. The files usually reflect the version but in this case they are still named after the 4.3 versions and not the 4.4 versions. After flashing anyway KRT16S gives me bootloader MAK0Z30d and modem .97

Best solution if you have Root:
go to playstore and download the app called disable services
in the app go to the google play services
and disable CheckinServices.
reboot
This seems to work for most everyone

Working on 6.0.1 excellent :good: ... just buy from Play Store
I updated to 13.2 flawlessly using the Manager app, but the most recent app version (5.1.0) fails to update to 13.3. Any idea what went wrong?
I'm running the Magma NX ROM (MM 6.0.1 based) on a Galaxy Note 3.
Thanks
I don't know what's wrong, but when I install the app manually, it's stuck at the logo-splashscreen.. so it seems like this is a general problem with the new manager app

It was universal deep buffer module for me, as soon as I installed it it was stuck on splash.
Same issues here. I just completely removed magisk and reinstalled, but I'm still getting stuck at the splash screen. It looks to be an issue with the update service, according to logcat.

Damn
One thing about Xposed on stock is that the first boot may take a really really long time. I thought it was in a bootloop and so I wound up restarting the phone a few times.
It can literally take upwards of ten minutes or so. Though it's all good now (on Nougat) boot time is still much longer than a custom ROM with Xposed.
The screen would be black but after awhile I would hear the Moto jingle. Then the boot animation would show. The two are no longer in sync now it seems.
