Is it possible ?
Any information ?
I popped the SIM card out of my Pixel and it worked fine.
Been using it with digits since the week after the watch released. No problems here
So how do I get a sim card ?
Just call T-Mobile and ask for an extra nano SIM ?
Do I need to add another line ?
Thanks

Thanks. I just saw the instructions on how to get a digits sim. I'm about to jump on the watch bandwagon. Had an Asus zenwatch2 that took a dump. Asus refused to fix it under warranty. They said I abused it. I'm done with that company forever.

Sorry to pick your brain again but does your
1) Digits SIM have it's own number?
2) Your calls and texts are just forwarded to that number?
3) You can make outgoing calls/texts and not just take incoming?

1. Yes
2. No, although it does have its own number, its tied to my main line. So my watch gets the text and calls my phone does. Think of the assigned number as a placeholder just for it to work. I did the "multiple devices with the same number" option on digits.
3. Yes. Outgoing and incoming works for both calls n text

I was trying to see if I could avoid the extra line costs.
1) I have a verizon sim. I put it into a nexus 6p and installed digits. I used the option to use minutes for phone calls and now my verizon number rings when my primary rings without needing the digits app installed. My guess is that I will be able to stick the sim in the watch and it will ring when my primary line rings.
2) Texts don't get received but with the scenario above working, it's making me think that somehow T-mobile can just grab a number and turn on some settings on their end and make it to where it will work without having to get an extra line/sim from them.
What do you think?

Yeah I'm a t-mo customer too and I've gotten DiGITS to work fine on a 2nd non-tmobile line phone. works similar to google voice but I'm really interested on getting it to work on the LG watch. I've got mine coming in tomorrow.

Hi,
I got a note 3 as an upgrade from AT&T.
It's still under contract.
If want want to sell it, do I still need to activate it with the new sim card first?
Or do I just wait for a week or to, will they automatically activate it? (the term and condition mentioned something about the line will be activated automatically after a certain date.)
I just don't want my buyer to have any troubles using the phone if I don't activate it probably.
Thanks.

You can leave it sealed in the box. You don't have to do anything. All your buyer has to do is put his SIM in it and done.

I see. But I also read stories about people buying brand new at&t "unactivated" phones and cannot use the phone because the seller who got the phone as an upgrade did not activate it.
And i asked AT&T what would happen if I didn't activate it, I will have to return the phone?
It's kind of confusing.

The activation process requires the person who buys your phone to enter their phone number if/when they try to use the SIM that comes with the phone. So it will either activate under their number or it wont work if its programmed to your phone which I am not sure. I assume the person buying your phone will most likely just put their SIM in. Maybe @agent929 can answer better.
The only downside to selling your upgrade is now you have to wait 2 years for your next discount.
How much are you selling it for ?? I'm looking tobuy one. Send me a private message

Don't activate that SIM card. He can use it for himself. It's that easy. Just don't open the box.
What a calamity of errors. Many my fault.
So I try to activate online and it fails. Doesn't say why.
Call them up and they said seems to be a problem with your SIM Card.
Now keep in mind my seal was broken. But I assume it just let loose in shipping.
I had the HTC One before this phone.
So I go to open the SMALL slot on the right assuming the small one was the SIM Card.
Nothing in there. Well no wonder they can't activate it.
Look in Box and the Card is there with SIM card missing.
Damn someone stole it, I'm thinking.
I asked can I go to store and get one, no. You'll have to send phone back (that I just put an $18.00 glass screen saver on).
So then I try my old SIM Card from HTC One. No it won't fit. So they are gonna send me another.
Hang up.
Then I thought I should see what's behind the Big Slot.
Dam there is the SIM Card. Idiot. Just never expected it to be in such a large slot, especially when HTC One wasn't.
Call Back. Still won't activate.
She says the SIM Card is activated on another line.
It was already tied to my wifes line that I used the upgrade on.
So she released it and all was good.
Just a heads up in case someone else activates on another line. I don't think anyone else on the planet would have made the other mistakes Long day.

Not sure it was the SIM card that was tied to the other line.

I used my wife's upgrade to get my m8. I used chat to activate with no problems. Your Sprint representative must of been less skilled

I used another line's upgrade. I tried to activate on my account page and it failed. I then turned the phone on and it began auto activating so I shut it off immediately (since that person doesn't live in the same house). I did the Sprint Chat and it took the rep a few minutes but she finally got it activated correctly for me.
If you ordered it on her line, then booted it up. It will automatically try and activate on the line it was ordered for. So that was the problem... Should have just contacted them before ever booting it up to get it set to yours first. no biggie.

I never booted it until after I called them. It was a trivial issue in hindsight. I'm just giving others a heads up.
The same thing happened to me.
My suggestion speak to someone on chat, they seem to be more knowledgeable.
When i called customer care spent an hour and he was unable to do it.
When I did it in chat an explain what happened 15 minutes later I was up and running.

Bingo! Amazing how people don't realize LTE is a GSM technology and requires a Sim. Even the first LTE phones (EvoLte/GS3) has them. It's just the older lte devices weren't userswappable and were built in.

Supposing I can get the SIM unlocked, it should be a go in getting it on VZW then? I'm trying to quantify the risk I'll face in not being able to get it activated on my VZ account

the first problem would be getting att to sim unlock it. everything else would be easy. you can by a tmobile n6 and use it on verizon right away though.

Hello,
So, I just bought a BNIB S6 active...ATT says it is blacklisted. However, I just put my ATT SIM in it and it is working fine, just like its not blacklisted..the data works, SMS works, etc...
all of the "imei checker" sites also say that it is blacklisted also
so, my question is...why do the sites AND ATT say its blacklisted, but still working just fine? Is it something in the system that is laggy, and in a few days it will eventually block the IMEI and my SIM card??

However, I logged onto my account and just clicked on "re-activate" phone and now its working again...it said after you click "reactivate" to call ATT or chat with rep and they will unblock the phone...so, I called ATT..and they said the line has no restrictions and that i'm good to go...
Weird, so am I good, u think?

Presumably a stolen batch of phones. One can imagine that there are many points in the distribution chain where a case of phones might end up walking off a truck. But with inventory tracking, I expect that the imeis of each phone are also known, so they get blacklisted as soon as the carrier's asset tracking system catches up. AoN
