First of all, sorry for my english
I came to the point of selling my phone (EVA-L19, dual sim) that I loved so much because of that constant 7.0 update push message. That occurs in every internet connection mode change (switching between wifi and mobil data) and i did everything (cancellation of all permits of the update app, cutting its data connection, erasing its data etc) but no solution. I've searched the forum before i open that topic but i couldn't find a valuable answer. For those who say why arent i updating to 7.0, I am getting phenomenal battery life and Sot with 6.0 (about 7.5-8 hours), the phone works perfectly stable and cool, there are no annoying android is, or android system battery drain issues and i dont want it to be destroyed with ****ty 7.0 update, i dont care about new looks of the huawei 5.0 interface or its new features gimmicks etc. I just want it to stay as it is. I will be glad if you can help. Thanks.

Hi guys,
First of all, a great (really great !) thanks to all and everyone involved with the JellyBean evervol rom, it work very very well on my dear old N1...
Well, it works very well but not quite flawlessly for me, and since I have not been able to find complaint about this on the dedicated topic in the android dev section, I post my questions here :
Since about one week ago, I remarked that my phone seems often unable to use the 3G connection : I mean I have full scale network with 3G label in the notification bar, but the logo stays grey (not turning blue) and all data request meet a deadend (chrome, news, gmail, ...) while, if I turn wifi on, it works great ...
And since 2 days ago, I started to have another trouble : my sim card just keep locking itself without (apparent) reason, I have to enter the pin code nearly every 5mn ...
No idea of what may be causing that ...
OK, I think I will in some times fall in love with the Nexus 4, but my N1 still working great with this superb Rom, I would like to wait a little (for instance, the time for Google to announce a 32 Go version of their baby ...)
So many thanks to anyone who can help me puting some additional life into this dear N1 ...
For info, I'm running the 3.1.0p1 version of the rom with a 32.50.00.32U_5.12.00.08 radio and I'm running on the Free Mobile network in France ...
I don't know what additional information I could provide to help, or any diagnostic I can run ?
Thank you in advance for your help ...
So after updating to 7.0 there are a couple of things I notice, firstly Chinese stuff like numbers on the dialer, music app, video app, and so forth still persist. The remote app wasn't there after the update so I manually downloaded it, now it is not connecting to devices. Battery is sometimes good, sometimes bad but this is because factory reset didn't work properly after unlocking the bootloader and after flashing the update. So if anyone has any help, and experience let's help each other
I got official 7.0 via OTA and I am really disappointed because battery is really wasted too fast. Google launcher is not working anymore...is closed after few minutes. Bluetooth is sound very bad on my media nav in car, before had no problem. I am thinking to downgrade to 6...

Bluetooth is very bugy on my P9 emui 4... After disabling Bluetooth, it would not get colorless like the other disabled buttons but stay in a state between full blue (activated) and Grey (deactivated). I had severe difficulties connecting to a JBL Flip 3... Kind of embarrassing for a flagship phone.

Hey same problem here! Did you happen to notice that you can't even send or receive files via bluetooth?
First of all, its not ""embarrassing"", dont judge whole series of devices or company, by your separate problem, its like saying that all Ford cars are bad, because your car have one problem... Dont you think its kinda... stupid to say such thing?
As for problem it self, its hard to say whats wrong, I would suggest turning BT on and then off via setting section, reboot phone and then check if it work correctly. Then all what I can think of is checking services(force close them) and checking logs if you know how.
If that simple method will not work... well it would be nice to know your OS version, but as you said you have EMUI 4, and I can just guess that its latest 4.1.1, I can just say "update your phone to latest version"....
And if you dont want to update to EMUI 5, because someone say you that its bad(no its not, people who say that just messed up something), and you want to stay with EMUI 4(damn know why if EMUI 5 is the same if not better), I would suggest you to make backup via huawei app, PC if you have files on phone and google sync, and then factory reset phone.
Last time I did that, with reverting backup it took me about hour, but I had lots of files on PC to transfer, so whole process of factory reset and reverting backups should take about 30-40min depending on your internet and what you backup.
I would love to get emui 5, but that's another matter... I have no idea when I will get it (c150).
We have exactly the same problem on our Huawei P8 lite's (managing 25 devices). So it seems not related to the model. So far no clue how to solve...
Hi,
I finally updated my Note 7 to Nougat and everything was pretty good. I still have the issue with battery life that I always had, but that's beside the point. Anyway, my WiFi disconnects all the time when I lock my phone. So I don't get notifications or messages or email or anything. This is a big issue for me because most communication I do is on-line and I keep missing messages and calls. Any help would be great, thanks.
My HTC Desire 10i (Pro Dual Sim) factory unlocked device just now received a 192mb size incremental update. The update took a good 20 minutes to complete. No cosmetic changes found. Mine is a factory unlocked device which might be meant for Taiwan/Myanmar markets but I am using it here in Canada Fido network with no issues except for weak signal occasionally.
Details:
Android version: 6.0.
Software Number: 2.22.709.2
Android Security Patch Level: March 1, 2018
Did anyone else receive this or similar update? Also an unrelated question. I see that my device doesn't have HTC Music or HTC Gallery. Instead, it comes with Google Photos and Google Music. Is there a way to get access to HTC's own music and gallery applications that can be fully functional in this device? I don't want to either unlock bootloader or root device. Any valuable inputs are welcome.

Yes I did receive the update (update citing improvements on a Chinese carrier LTE service) after manually checking for it.
HTC are using Google apps now because they want to at least make Sense Home more streamlined with a more stock Android feel (plus I imagine that they want to cut down on the hassle of maintaining their propriety apps)
So you either use the stock Google apps or download third-party apps for what you are looking for.

How is your phone behaving on the Bluetooth front after this update? Bluetooth was never solid in this phone but I find it has gotten worse after this update. It loses Bluetooth connections very frequently; like every five minutes. Any idea?

prmbasheer,
Bluetooth is fine for me, granted I have used it with something that requires a prolonged connection, but I will test it out with my Bluetooth headset just to be sure, I only transfer small files with Bluetooth but I have switched to transfer via wireless which is much faster of course, I will test it out during the weekend and I will let you know if I have the same issue or not.
Cheers

Hey there, I tested my Bluetooth headset (skull candy sb2) for more than 12 hours and I am to report that I did not experience any connection interruptions.
Perhaps the radio on your phone needs to be checked, but can I be frank, this phone is ok, not great by all means, they [htc] obviously have no plans for future OS updates, my advice to you is sell this phone and get a new one, I'll probably do the same down the road, that's just my opinion.
Cheers.

This device is widely reported for Bluetooth issues. I am glad your device has no such issues. I am using a smartwatch and the same earphones you tried. So, it is basically two devices I need to be connected to this phone but it fails terribly. Every 5 - 10 minutes one of the devices keep disconnecting and reconnecting. So, now I have started using my other phone (LG G6) and this is stored for later use or as you suggested, a sale.
