[FIXED] Unlock Pattern Issue - my pattern doesnt work! - OnePlus 3T Questions & Answers

Hey Guys,
I really really need your help. At first I give you as much information as possible, even if it may be unnecessary.
I was as OOS 4.1.3 with SuperSU 2.79 rooted and TWRP 3.1.1-0. My Phone is secured via fingerprint and unlock pattern as backup (if fingerprint fails)
Few minutes ago I Wanted to update to OOS 4.1.6 with root via SuperSU 2.82 - it was successfully updated - but I accidentally wiped data partition (not my userdata) - so that I had to reconfigure my phone completely. Because this would take hours to do so, I decided to restore my backup that I gladly created just before the update. The Restoring process was also successful, but now after restart, my phone doesn't accept my unlock pattern! - As always after a restart, I need to use my fingerprint AND my pattern to unlock and use the phone - the fingerprint is still recognized, but the unlock pattern is NOT!
So my Question is clear - HOW do I enter my phone? - behind the pattern issue it's working, it's even connected to network and I can receive calls, use the camera, but nothing else without unlocking because it always says that my pattern is wrong.
So is there any possibility (maybe via adb or similar) to unlock my phone or do I really have to set up my phone from scratch?!
Edit: Thank you soo much 93drago, your link provided the answer I needed

That's a bug with TWRP backup - here is detailed instruction for how to solve it. In short - you'll have to delete few files in TWRP file manager.

[Q] bricked after trying to install CM12.1 nighty encrypted XT1068

Yep, probably again a noob that bricked his phone.
As there was no info on my phone that wasn't on google servers or something I was so stupid to start installing the latest official CM12 built on my XT1068 without any decent backups.
- I think the moto/google service for lost devices encrypted my phone without me really noticing it. :crying:
- I was on Lollipop, the latest update I got here from in Benelux/Europe.
- I unlocked my device, worked fine. device also tells in bootloader
"Device is UNLOCKED. Status Code: 3"
- when than having installed TWRP 2.8.0.1, os started but gave problems installing superSU.
(no prob I thought, I go immediately forward with CM12 installation, so don't have to bother with the old ROM) :silly:
- wiping everything for clean install I already saw some messages coming up. on hindsight; Difficulties with opening /data folder etc...
- tried to install CM, and several other more stock roms, but never get through the message. All bad installs.
- maximum I got is CM12 booting up, preparing some apps and than a message describing the encryption problem, asking to reboot.
TRIED:
- install from usb drive (with OTG cable)
- erase and reinstall from TWRP 2.8.0.1 and other recoveries.
- fastboot flash a standard recovery again, to wipe data from there,
(from this standard recovery installers never got through even the verification to install, so tried than installing from other recoveries, same problem.)
Can still try but hesistant:
Unlock my mothers phone (same month, same model, same place, probably same encrypted) to try backup there in TWRP, recover this on my phone, and this way flash standard rom again. From there I could probably get rid of encryption. (as found already in several places)
I would afterward immediately try to lock my mothers phone again, don't know so much of how to get recovery to standard one again though. Can I backup this before. When I try now "adb backup - all" on my phone from my mac, I get "unable to connect for backup" message though. Even when phone is saying "phone connected".
Anyone an idea of how to get out this trouble?
Greetings
Otto
[email protected]: try "fastboot erase userdata"
have the feeling I'm getting there. Gapps still don't work but rom boots. Recovery has to be standard one to make encryption to work. Thats the key.

Help! Softbrick! Bootloader locked unable to wipe

hi guys bought a 3t today,
whilst trying out the new beta i wanted to flash freedom,
so i downloaded the toolkit and twrp wouldnt work , after different twrp the twrp was encrypted with a password which i hadnt set.
but i read that changing my pin password to a written password might work which i did change (standard password i use for majority of things)
well the phone will not start now, it will start with dm verity is nor started in enforcing mode, will boot load and then ask for a password which my password doesnt work...
so ive tried going into recovery which just doesn't work literally restarts the phone straight away
tried installed stock recovery and twrp via fastboot but nothing works
the bootloader is locked and will not unlock via typical fastboot commands or even the toolkit....
going out of my mind
i cant even wipe via fastboot
oh and NO the phone is not stolen!!!
fixed had to follow the mega unbrick post but took a few attemps
Encryption f* up your phone when moving between different encryption libraries recoverys, almost the most common fault experienced on this phone due to dm verity enforced encryption per default.

Huawei Honor X2 asks for NICK

Sorry if this information is written somewhere else, but I couldn't find it...
I tried to install MAGISK on my Huawei Mediapad (Honor) X2.
I uninstalled SuperSU via script, flasht the boot.img, and installed Magisk.
There was an error first, about boot partition too small, and after reboot, my phone asks for a "NCK to unlock SIM network".
I flashed Magisk again (no errors this time) but it still asks for a NCK I do not have. (SIM Cards Pin does not work).
Because I wanted to use my phone again, I flashed a complete backup of my phone I had made prior to installing Magisk.
But... the phone STILL asks for NCK, so I cannot use my SIMcard!
Can anyone help me?????
Just reflashed with stock firmware (B212)... STILL asks for Network NCK
Tried everything, but still asking for Network NCK! Can no one help me???

impossible to restore to stock firmware

Hello everybody,
I have a P9 that mounted twrp and magisk.
Needing safetynet pass, i decided to make a factory reset of my phone and to try again the rooting. Unfortunately i discover that Huawei had blocked the bootloader generator of codes and now i have a phone, that is switching ON, but missing a lot of apps (calculator, clock, recording voice, etc...).
Also commands like *#*#2845679#*#* to try update from there not working (not appears the hidden menu)
I tried to restore (finding my exact firmware) via dload but everytime i get error at 5%. Via OTA update same errors.. Now i have the phone in Bootloader LOCKED.
Can someone helps me to install again the full stock firmware in my phone. Thank you so much

Before Factory resetting you had to uninstall Magisk and to flash stock Recovery...
You can't apply DLOAD to builds that are not FulOTA_MF_PV (and most new builds are no more PV)...
Since you prevoously had TWRP, you did have Bootloader unlocked - just use the same code (you had to save it when you obtained it from Huawei) and unlock the Bootloader again.
If you didn't save Bootloader, this time you will have to buy 4 Euros credit and get it from DC-unlocker

If you are on Nougat, when you buy the code and unlock Bootloader, then flash TWRP and use HWOTA method to recover stock ROM
https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/development/rom-huawei-p9-magicrainbow-v4-t3759292/
If you never ever want to root, then you could try to save 4 Euros (not unlocking Bootlader) and
a) Settings / Advanced Settoings / Backup and Reset / Factory reset and accept to Wipe Inetrnal memory
b) Boot to EMUI Recovery (switch off, boot by pressing Vol+ and Pow) and choose Factory reset
But not sure would it be able completely restore stock ROM (apps you are missing).
Also c) Switch off, connect by USB to charger, boot by Vol+ and Power, it should boot to Huawei eRecovery. Then download (over WiFi) and reinstall stock.
But I will prefer getting Bootloader code and then using HWOTA.
When you have unlocked Bootloader, if things go wrong, you have more options to unbrick the phone if it becomes necessary

I've solved with Firmware Finder, taking a FULLOTA-MF Update and following the guide inside the app. All the stocks application are now restored. Thanks

Unlocking bootloader and Install TWRP (I can't enable USB Debugging)

Lately, I had a problem with the lock pattern; I am not able to unlock the phone even when I enter the right schema!
I had this problem for the first time 3 weeks ago and happily it was solved with a simple restart but sadly this time not.
So, I am locked out of my phone.
I have:
Nokia 8 TA-1012
Android 9
USB Debugging: Disabled
Stock recovery
Phone is not rooted
After 6 days of researching to solve this problem without losing my data and trying desperately the most solutions published in internet, it still for me one solution to test before doing a Hard Reset.
The solution is described as:
Unlock the bootloader
Install a custom recovery
Install Aroma File Manager
Delete gesture.key file
My question is:
Is there any way to unlock the bootloader and install a custom recovery without the need to enable USB Debugging?
Or if there is any other solution to unlock the phone without losing the data?
Thank you.
