Factory Reset, start configuring language, dont connect any WIFI or DATA and Next button after this the screen show Configuring Phone, press volume up + volume down - home button and button back, and Woola bypass the stupid activation
This is the method
Thanks guys, I managed to skip this step. I founded tutorial on youtube, but phone must be connected to WiFI, otherwise there is no skip option only back to connect.
I have another problem, now it says that SIM card is invalid. I cannot connect to mobile network. It seems it is SIM locked, but I used current SIM with this phone and had no problems. Do you know guys is there some possible way to unlock again this phone without root? Again, I cannot contact Sprint because I'm not their user.

you might be able to try some trusted 3rd party unlckers no way to downgrade either or brick will result to try inter nat rom so thats not an option either and problem with some 3rd party unlock companys is sprint still has apns greyed out so not able to mod them some have reported ok but basicly now its a monetary risk and in my opinion the device isnt really worth investing any cash into except for the camera no root methods are available beyond zv6 firmware no downgrade possible
---------- Post added at 02:49 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:46 PM ----------
you might look for sevice menu ## codes look for a setting that says itson and disable it may need msl code n wich is still obtainable throught sprint its hard work but i have done it many times
mayers unlock method sometimes requires manual diable of itson to get rid of invalid sim card notification
no root needed
I bringed my device in local service shop to unlock, but they returned phone more damaged. Device can't turn on and when I connect charger there is no charging indicator, nothing. When I connect phone to computer it is recognized as "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008". Is there any solution to unbrick this phone? Any answer would help. Thanks!

I would take it back to said shop and raise hell they damaged it they need to replace it. What firmware were u on. It dont really matter. The firehose.bin for qfil to reflash fone doesnt work for g4. Unless someone has made a new one but i havent seen one yet. You might try lgs waranty. Claim to have bootlooped. Or something like that

Well, I have a OB with the "No SIM inserted" problem... (with SIM from the network lock or any other)
Any idea how to fix this?
Just tried pretty much any trick I could find online (just missing the heatgun thing - in due time...)
I appreciate more ideias.
thx!
If it doesn't recognise any SIM card it's hardware problem I think...
Btw i had the same problem....it got fixed in some store and the problem was something called main pcb
Sent from my LG-P970 using XDA App
I know it is most probably HW... but, doesn't hurt to ask for opinions/ideas.
Right now I only have a cool media player
I think I might try the heat gun trick and see how it goes.
[EDIT]: Could it be black listed by the operator? (I got it as is, used)
Hi, I've got this same prob but with another phone, non-android it was a samsung gt-s5560 [marvel or tocco] it was mine and I sell it, after a few days the girl keep telling me that she couldn't use the phone cause of a PIN, does your OB ask for a PIN? if so, just ask the old owner, when I remember the PIN call the girl and now she's happy using the device
I had the same problem with my ob. I take it to service and they replaced the phone with a new one. It's an hw problem with pcb.
Sent from my LG-P970 using XDA App
I guess taking it to service won't do 'cause I don't have any receipts of the purchase (it was used and I know about the issue).
Yesterday I tried to check the connections to the SIM reader module but no avail.
Maybe today I'll try to toast it with the heat gun.
If your phone asks for PIN when SIM is inserted then it's probably stolen and was blacklisted in international base of stolen phones used by operators worldwide.
If it isn't asking for PIN then it's 100% hardware fault. Better take it to some electronic repair service, because with the heatgun you can make it even worse...
I had that problem before. I think it's software-related (or maybe just a fluke). My OB is running on Nova 4.5.
I always use "network sim #1", but when I switched to my other network sim, which we'll call "network sim #2", it was ok for a couple of minutes then after that "NO SIM INSERTED" appeared.
After that, I rebooted and noticed that my phone was unusually slow... I still have the "NO SIM INSERTED" on the display.
I rebooted again and my phone still was slow and "Force Close" prompts appear one after another.
So I just re-flashed Nova 4.5... I didn't take the SIM out. And voila! 1 month and no "NO SIM INSERTED" messages again.

Not stolen. Not blacklisted. Just won't assume any SIM. From my searches this seems a pretty common issue that can strike at any time... (You are warned...)
I know the heatgun can easily kill it but I'm willing to take the risk. In other phones replacing the SIM reader module would fix it but the P970 is somewhat welded/glued to the shielding in the MoBo and I couldn't find a replacement part also.
Anyway, I bought this with the hope I could fix it, otherwise it'll be a cool media player and a nice development platform addition to my other android.

As of now, don't think its SW related anymore... I've flashed Nova (v8) and CM7 (n#11) a couple of times already.
Still, there are some radio files (AMSS?) that eventually could help. I'm trying to find those but the LG's seems harder to find.
Thank you all.
I've just read your post . I have exactly the same problem. I have also bought my OB with a hope that I could fix it . Did you found a solution for your problem ?
Thanks in advance.

maybe your phone has lock on mobile network?
same problem here :/
its all after my phone has been rooted!
it was via blackjack
Maybe some of you are wrong ! Maybe it`s software related.
If you root it with blackjack this dont`t kill or get your hardware malfunctioned because it only trick your firmware to get privileges. Hardware is not the answer.
Maybe you all must try the unbrick thread from Optimus Black Android Development with the option of Erase CP and flash .bin and .fls files on your OB.
It happened to me too when i was flashed CM nighly`s. The cure was to to flash nova rom and nova kernel v10c and look now my phone work very well whithout any SIM problems.

I dont think there is Simlock on this phone. When I want to enter unlockcode it shows me "your phone is not personalized". So it seems there is no Simlock.

Exactly ! I think if you want that Erase Entire CP you must go in hidden menu of OB and tick CP USB instead of ...
scamex, thanks to your advices I have solved my problem. As you said I got to the hidden menu , then AP CP USB Switching and CP USB . After these steps I could check "Erase entire CP" in Smartflashtool . I have flashed my phone with v10c rom using .bin and .fls files and now I have the signal and my SIM is recognized again. Thanks so much again .
So now check your IMEI via *#06# and this one under your battery

About imei, check here :http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1447311
I panicked when i saw my "new" Imei but thanks to Redpik I have chenged it easily back . It works , thanks.
So basically someone (I don't know who, I was drunk, I thought it was a joke but no one has come forward) has set a pin on my phone and I can no longer use the thing.
I just want to be able to make phone calls again.
Is there anyway to factory reset my Sony Xperia Z1f without knowing the pin? What are my options basically?
Thanks,
Alex.

I was hoping to be able to use it this weekend *sigh*
Do I need the receipt/box or something? I bought it from a small importing company who have told me I will need to mail the thing to Sony at my own expense as the nearest service center is a 10 hour drive.
So there is literally no way for me to unlock my phone short of how ever many weeks it takes Sony to mail it back to me?
It's like the shop where I bought mine, they said I got Manufacturer Warranty so I will have to send the phone to Sony, but actually when I call them they will do this for me. Go there and ask them or call them.
Factory Reset the device with PC Companion.
It doesn't ask for a PIN when I just tried now.. I needed to FR mine for the 4.3 update, so I tested it for you

Sorry what is PC Companion? Can you please post a little more info, would be super grateful. I have not been active on these forums in quite some time and am out of the loop haha
Also, I tried following this guide...
http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/instructions
But I can't access the service menu on my phone from the emergency dialer like many YouTube videos show.
Why might this be?
Pc companion is a program for your Pc where u connect your phone and you can do loads of things like reset update etc...is made by Sony so just do a lil Google search and download it... Or go on Sony website

This have nothing to do with your problem, it's for Unlocking Bootlader not the phone. If you do this, you will lose your warranty.

Ok I got PC Companion and figured it out and have updated my phones software to the latest version.
But now after reading through these forums I think I would like to flash a custom ROM, however looking in the service menu my phone says that bootloader unlock is not allowed.
Is there someway to still unlock my bootloader and flash a custom rom?

No, if Unlock Bootloader Allowed say NO you can't unlock it, but you can flash custom roms with stock kernels and also root your phone. Unlock Bootlader is needed to flash custom kernels only.

But, I don't think your situation applies... You're probably SOL.
There's no fix. You can try fastboot format cache and fastboot format userdata. If that doesn't work, there's no fix.

I wouldn't yet. Someone may eventually find a fix. But yes, you're going to need a new phone in the meantime.
Just a random thought; so what is covered by warranty? Say an internal connection was to get detached and the phone just won't power up, I think that would probably be something they may honor and replace the phone. I would not go back to the same place you tried to have it fixed, I would contact Motorola direct.
Again just a thought without thinking through all the scenarios nor with any thought of the morality of it.

The crap part would be if someone finds a fix after the phone is damaged. But, before you do anything, make the call.
I see many many threads regarding how to get free tethering, so I don't feel this is too out of place. Again, everyone has to work out for themselves whats right for them.

Since 5.1, you need "enable OEM unlock" set in settings to unlock the bootloader. If it is not set, you cannot unlock the bootloader. It only stays set until you boot up.
So some people update then immediately lock the bootloader. Then their phone won't boot so they cannot set "enable OEM unlock" so they're screwed.

You have to enable oem-unlock after every boot, it will not stick after a reboot.

No. The "enable OEM unlock" setting allows you to boot to the bootloader, connect to a pc and use the "fastboot oem unlock" command to unlock the bootloader.

I think we're confusing the issue. It doesn't need to stay ticked. All it stops you doing is unlocking the bootloader. Once the bootloader is unlocked, its unlocked.
The only reason you'll need to tick it is if you relocked the bootloader and then wanted to unlock it again. But this is dangerous because if your ROM breaks and you're locked, you cannot then unlock.

If something goes wrong during ota thats covered by warranty, but i was impatient to wait for it, so i did for my self over USB thats not covered by warranty like when u **** up something with root permissions.. Hello
While flashing in Miflash i get some error. After that my MI is brick. When I plugin it to PC is discoverd by driver ive used to access with Miflash but looks like im unable to get into fastboot mode so Miflash dont see phone at all.. I saw that there is an option to connect some pins at motherbord to "froce" phone into this mode but i couldnt find any information about it for that exact model.
Do anybody can share with me any information how i can solve that problem? Maybe there is way to fix it without opening the phone? Or if opening is the only way, any pics or shema what exacly i should connect and in which order to force phone into fastboot?
Pls help. Its brand new phone

Like u mentioned, connecting the pins is the only one I know of.
There is a video there to for help. See if that works.
I hope u get it up and running coz I know how it feels to hard brick a new phone.
Yes. Im exactly looking for something like this one but that tutorial is for Note 3 Pro.. and i have s3 Pro. Totally different phone and motherboard. Any idea where i can find information for my phone? Dont wanna smoke it up while connecting wrong pins. Two days of hard research gave me nothing.
Are you sure it is a 3s pro? Or 3s prime?
Also how did u manage to hard brick it?
I dont know if this will help but just check the below link. This usually helps in case your partition is gone and that is the reason for no fastboot.

Try the solution by @rajumack07 before doing something with the hardware. Fixing your bootloader should get you up and running.

I faced a similar scenario with my other phones. MI3 and Micromax Canvas 2. And I don't fear them any more. So i wish you the best and let us know when it is working

Have you opened the phone?
If yes, try the steps in this to get to Emergency Download mode.
http://xiaomitips.com/guide/how-to-unbrick-redmi-note-3-snapdragon-best-solution/
If you havent opened the phone, just take it to the service center. It will be lame but easier.
I wish I had that phone with me. It would have been easier with Screen shots and pictures.
Yup its open but as i said its NOT Note 3.. its 3s.. there is different motherboard. And in my country there is no any Xiaomi service.

I KNOW I KNOW. I know that you have a 3s and not 3. I was giving the link coz the steps are almost the same for alsmost all Qualcomm devices.
I believe 3s has a Qualcomm processor right?
It would be better if you can attach some pictures of the motherboard and phone in the OP.
The reason I gave that link is that you know what to do and Just improvise!
Basically (carefully) remove the pins for battery and USB. Find them and follow the process. See if it works.
I don't think following the process of entering 9008 by cables is the only one. Please try with the link I had posted. If the diagnostic mode what you are saying also has "9008" along with it, then you're in download mode and you can proceed using the link I had posted or by @Deathonator. But if it's in 9006 mode, then you will have to make it to 9008, the steps are in the same link in my above post.
Guys,
I bought an immaculate second hand Note 5 for 160 euro/180 dollars/140 pounds including shipping. It comes with the charger and an official Samsung case. It doesn't come with the box or anything else. I won't have it until tomorrow but I'm just trying to get a head start at hopefully fixing it.
Now here's the problem. The guy I bought it from got it from his work place. It was on the Vodafone network but he got it unlocked. He also rooted it. When he went to sell it a couple months back he factory reset it and now it doesn't go past the "Samsung Galaxy Note 5" splash screen. He's had it collecting dust for 3 months now.
Does this sound like it'll be as easy as an ODIN flash? As far as I know if it gets stuck on bootloops or stuck at the splash screen it's soft bricked and not hard bricked.
I've attached pictures if they help at all but I doubt it. Apparently it's a lot cleaner than the pictures and doesn't have a scratch on it. He also guarantees it's not water damaged!
Any help appreciated!
You can easy reflash the original firmware with Odin. It's nothing major.

Wow! You really think that's all? Because it doesn't come with the box I won't have access to the IMEI or serial numbers. Do you think it'll be a problem? I also have no idea what model number it is but ill ask where he got it (he lives in Ireland but I think he works in the UK as we never got the Note 5 here) maybe that'll help narrow it down.

Hopefully it's that easy! And is there a sure fire way to return to stock, unroot, relock bootloaders etc and reset any knox trips so I can use Samsung Pay etc?

If i were in your situation i would install custom recovery thru odin then flash one of the many universal note5 roms. Just how i would approach that situation.

Will it automatically know which model it is and when I check settings it'll tell me? And then be able to go back to complete stock?

You are in good shape no matter how you approach this because your device is ALIVE. You would need to be worried if nothing showed up on screen (DEAD). That my friend would be hard bricked.

You can return everything to stock except knox. Once knox is tripped its permanent.? And once you boot up any rom, settings will identify imei, model #, etc...

Cool beans! So because of the knox trip via root, a few Samsung things like pay won't work. Am I right?

Righty! I'll keep you all updated tomorrow when I receive it! Cheers!
With knox tripped you will lose just the warranty which doesn't matter anyway. Samsung pay is working if you keep stock rom without root. Try to see if you can go in recovery mode with vol up home and power and do a factory reset. Sometimes is resolving the boot problem.

oh cool Samsung pay will work! Awesome sauce!!!
Phone arrived this morning! Here's where I'm at:
The phone model is the n920s, apparently some sort of korean telecomm model.
I was successfully able to boot into recovery mode via volume up, home and power button. I tried wipeing everythiong and rebooting but it doesn't pass the Galaxy Note 5 splash screen. I'm now downloading it's stock firmware and going to try flashing it via odin.
So it seems I haven't completed lucked out after all!
My findings are that it appears to be a bad/blacklisted imei. I know there is paid options to fix this but how likely are they to work?
I also found that when I boot to recovery mode it gives me theses lines in the log;
dm-verity verification failed
need to check drk first
What is this?
Even after flashing the correct n920s package from sammobile via odin I have these lines.
Any help appreciated!
Don't bother with dm-verity verification. You can google and you can see. For IMEI go to www.imeigurus.com. They are very good and they can fix your problem for 35$ include sim unlocking for that amount.

I had a look at that website and I see they don't support my phone which is n920s version. In regards to forgetting about the DRK, I'm pretty sure that's why I can't boot my phone.
Just to clarify for all I seem to have three main problems now;
1 - IMEI is bad/blacklisted (Repairable).
2 - dm-verity verification need to check drk first (Not sure how to fix).
3 - FRP Lock is enabled/on stopping me from installing twrp etc (not sure how to fix).
Phone cannot boot up to enable USB Debug or anything.
Stuck only with recovery mode and ODIN mode.
Just to keep everything in one place for anyone else who has this problem, here is a private message I just sent to 123Unlock over at sammobile.com forums. He is from SRS(Simlock Remote Server) - www.unlocksamsungonline.nl
Hi there,
I've been reading through a lot of websites for the last 7 hours trying to fix a phone that I bought. I was caught in a scam and sold a Samsung Galaxy Note 5 N920S which has a bad/blacklisted IMEI, the FRP lock is enabled/on and the DRK needs to be repaired. The guy who sold it to me said he got it from his work place. He also said he got it unlocked (I don't know what network it was on) and rooted it. Then when he went to sell it he factory reset it and now it's stuck/broken the way it is.
After all my reading it seems like you/your company are the only ones capable of fixing my phone. Could you please help me. I'm obviously willing to pay for the job.
My phone does not boot but I can enter ODIN and recovery modes. For more information here is a thread I started over at XDA - Developers:

To contact me directly here is my email - [email protected]
Look forward to hearing from you,
Chris.
Did you flash the stock firmware with Odin? Did you put the firmware in AP section in odin and it was successfully flashed? Sometimes after that it keep staying in boot screen for long time. Just turn it off presing the power key for 10 seconds and turn on again.
