Just about everyday when I open my phone to my call long or contacts, I get "Updating List". It will continue to do this for about a 30mins. Then I just power my phone off and it stops. I'm also having a problem with text messages. I will go into them and none of them have a name attached. so again, I power off my phone and then they come back up.
Anyone else having this issue?

This is not a root specific issue, as this was happening before I rooted, but I've asked everywhere and can't get so much as a response, so I'm trying here....
Ever since a few days ago, when I'm on a call, if I bring up the touch-keypad, hit the number 1 and then slide the keypad away, I get a message "Starting MMI sequence" and the call disconnects. This does not happen when I press the actual keypad soft-button to get the keypad to disappear, it only happens when I swipe it down and away. It runs other MMI Sequences, depending on which key I press (2 and swipe away gives me a dial tone, 3 and swipe away gives me a popup that says "unable to conference calls". The reason I stumbled on this was because in order to screen my Google Voice calls, I need to press 1 to accept or 2 to send to voicemail. But, if I press 1 to accept and then swipe-away the keypad, it runs the MMI sequence and disconnects.
Does this happen for anyone else?? Or does anyone have thoughts on how to stop it?
I really appreciate any help at all.... I'm totally baffled by this! Thank you!!
I wiped the phone with the stock RUU and did a hard reset as well, also updated to the latest MR and none of these things have stopped the phone from running MMI sequences when pressing a key and swiping away the keypad during a call.
Any thoughts on why it is doing this?
Hi,
I searched for threads on this problem and found similar ones but not exactly as my problem.

I tried getting the Angry Birds app and my phone had a message saying I didn't have enough space. I then started getting the message "Sorry! Process.com.android.phone is not responding. Force Close." I uninstalled some apps, including the app I just downloaded. Rebooted the phone and now I cannot see a menu.
I see a black screen with that message popping up constantly. I can connect my SD card to the computer. I can go into the debug mode. My WiFi is still on with my simcard still working. Still no menu, just a black screen.
I know my phone is rooted. Forgot which firmware. I found a file with update-cm-5.0.8-DS.
I don't want to lose any contacts on this phone. Is there a way I can get them before doing a hard or factory reset? Also, how do I do these resets?
Thanks in advance.
Try booting up in safe mode by holding the menu button while powering up.
If your phone is registered with your google account, your contacts should automatically get saved on that.
I have this weird issue where I want to only display my call logs--no text messages--and I set it in the "View by" area in the phone. I've noticed that when I hit the home button and return to the logs, everything is fine, BUT when I hit the back button and return to the logs, it shows all calls and texts once again. Is there a way to solve this??
Does anyone else have this issue?
Hi,
I have weird issue.
When I am on call phone kind of stops responding (what i mean, if i press back button process won't go back - let it be any process ,whatsapp/msgng.etc). I can't select any thing.Only home button works and i can use smileys for chatting while im on call. keyboard doesn't pops up. Even, while trying to reject a call. I cant reject with message. That pop up will come but i can't select any message. it won't allow me to touch anthing. its like touchscreen is not responding. I have rooted with vroot. anyone facing similar issue?
So, I'm using the 64 GB ballistic nylon droid turbo. About half an hour ago, all of my open programs crashed, as well as some process running on the phone. I tried opening several again, and they wouldn't open, so I rebooted my phone.
All of my information was gone, including my personalized settings and my contacts and conversations. The home button no longer works; it vibrates when I press it, but nothing happens. I no longer receive notifications. The icon in the top right of the drop-down notifcation menu no longer responds. Except on startup, the phone no longer asks for my security input, even after i changed the settings.
I have no idea how to fix this, and apparently customer service is not open on weekends. Some help ould be appreciated.
Sorry to hear this.... It sounds like you lost a lot on the phone already. Are you able to get to the settings and just to a factory reset??
same problem
