for upgrading 0.9.23.1 to 0.9.23.2 yes but for tryng other versions i didn't want them to upgrade so no.
btw in the way of flashing it says some stuff like auto-root etc were not in the fSC script and i have no choice but to accept to skip those. is it because of that? how can i fix it?

Yes _ I also meant for upgrading flashtool version from . 1 to . 2!! There has been a problem while parsing. Sin files in Nougat ftf by flashtool... This was a bug itself and it was fixd. Seems it still exists..
My advice is to flash different region ftf or flash ur previous successful ftf and wait for the fix.

This is the info from the thread i posted at the wrong section
Code:
Hi all...
My friend sent his X8 to a phone shop to get it updated to android 2.3.7 and ended up with a bricked phone cause by that phone shop.
Now, which according to him stuck at the white "Sony Ericsson" logo...Which i know is a soft brick and most probably can be saved by flashing it with PCC or SEUS or FlashTool.
I have ask him to flash it with SEUS or FlashTool, but not successful, still stuck on the SE logo, i doesn't know weather he do it wrongly or does not has any patient...
I gonna buy this phone from my friend, and repair the phone myself.
I want to ask u guys is there any other reason for the phone to stuck at the SE logo other than bricked phone? Could it be a hardware prob?
8/6/2012 UPDATE:
Just now my fren turn on the X8, it stuck at the white "Sony Ericsson" text, and after a moment, the phone reboot itself and stuck at there again and reboot itself again and again...
guys, based on the latest update from my friend, can this phone be saved?
And do share some experience if u do encounter such prob...
9/6/2012 UPDATE:
This morning i trying to flash my phone again...
I flash it with android 1.6 stock ROM (1.3.A.0.62) and it would boot up normally...
I also try to update the phone from 1.3.A.0.62 to 2.1.1.A.0.6 by using PCC, but also remain the same...
Then i flash it with FlashToool using 2.1 stock ROM (2.1.1.A.0.6 and 2.1.1.C.0.0) it would ended up like this see the video below
My X8 with 2.1 stock rom:
What type of brick is this?
Thanks...
Cheers...
And have a nice day

after that i flash it with 2.1.1.A.0.6 stock rom, and it stuck at the white SE logo and keep rebooting...

I dont really know bout the condition. Usually works with seus or flashtool. Maybe something has been changed, like kernel or/and baseband. Maybe u would need to flash stock kernel and baseband too. Try flashing them and hope it ll work.

I used to have the same issue last week and I finally succeed respecting the step by step from Androxyde.
One Advice : Try to redownload the FTF fiel or try another one (from another country).
I personnaly had succeess using the FTF from UK (and I am from another country) and no issue at all.
Good luck :fingers-crossed:

Go to c:\flashtool\firmwares\ and delete "prepared" folder. - That's only firmware files prepared every time for flashing.
Restart your PC and open flashtool (right click and open it as administrator.
Make sure you have at least 1Gb of free space on your disk where's flashtool is located.

What rom are you using and which firmware did you want to flash?
Hello,
I got the same problem (just different phone).
I am using CM11 and need to go back to stock ROM. So I tried to flash TFT via flash mode, but it ends on this error.
I tried to change compatibility to Vista and run flashtool as admin, but it doesn't help for me. I am using Flashtool 0.9.14.0 on Windows 7 64b.
Any idea?

sorry for reopening. But i can confirm his method.
Had exactly same problem as threadstarter. In the end it was a corrupted ftf that was making the header error..
I have same problem after try to format SdcArd0(more then2Go). tuto : [HOW-TO][ROOT][4NOOBS] Resize sdcard0 and internal storage to maximize space for apps
The lt30p, loop within logo Sony and flashmode
After 5 day, to try everything... :s
(flashtool disconnect the phone)...
No flastboot ...
No battery and impossibility to Charging (Looping)
The Solution is OLD Flashtool.
9.18.6 at ww w . flashtool.net/ downloads_windows_prev.php
After reinstalled the old flashtool ,disconnect internal battery.
Update TFT file and GO!
i can update every TFT. Because in 9.22.3, you don't chose TFT.
No error 995. no system.sin corrupt etc..
