I just received the case pictured below. Seems like a pretty solid case. The usb slot has a flap over it. The speakers are covered but ported out the front of the case. The same with the microphone. Seems to pick up audio fine. Case looks like it's uniform for both the 4/4x (I have the 4x snapdragon and ordered as such but it also has a hole in the middle of the top that would work for the 4). All ports are available on the top of the phone. 2 pieces one rubber inner and one plastic outer. I like it. The standard full screen tempered glass fits the window perfectly. I would recommend putting the case on first then the tempered glass to get a perfect fit.
There are many dealers on Aliexpress with this case. Several colors. I got the red one and another black one.
The only thing I don't like is because of the way the buttons are you lose the tactile click when you press them. It's just the rubber is thick enough that you can't feel it. The buttons are responsive, they just don't have that clicky feel.

I have the screen protector that has the flexible edges on my phone right now. So the main viewing area is tempered glass and the edges are a soft plastic material. The backside of the glass is completely covered with adhesive so it's good in that aspect. However the case as it comes seems to cause the edges to lift up. I used my Dremel Rotary tool to trim the inside rim of the case and now it looks perfect. I'd say doing that now I'm 90 percent happy with the case and screen protector combination.
Thanks @prisoner1969 for the post.
I had ordered this case from eBay just before your review was posted - still waiting for it to arrive, but hopefully it will be good for me too.
Which screen protector are you referring to - is there a link you are able to post or search term that I could use please? I have a tempered glass protector intended for the Note 4X, but it does not go to the edges of the screen.

I have it reviewed in the "tempered glass" thread. Again without modifying the case the edge of the protector might lift up. So far it's the best tempered glass solution I've found. I have about 10 pieces of glass total from different vendors and this style is great. The only problem is you can't see the buttons on the bottom if you use this one. However I don't find that a big deal since we all know where our buttons are

Just received my S7 Edge today, I've actually bought the Tech21 case for it.
However with the lack of decent screen protectors at the minute is there not a case which takes care of this for you?
I've had a look around and found an X-Doria Defense 360 Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Case – Clear , anybody managed to get one or something similar which isn't too bulky?
Thanks
As i thought the Tech21 Evo Frame case edges must be fairly sharp and I can't get the screen protector to stay down especially up near the top. I've tried both the InvisibleShield Original and the Ultimate Shield one (I am in the UK). Has anybody got one to work with this case?
If not has any got any recommendations for cases with a built in screen protector as mentioned above?
Thanks

IQ Shield makes a case-friendly screen protectors for the phone. I am currently using it with my Tech21 Frame and have zero issues.

Right now they are one of the few that actually makes case-friendly screen protectors. They do ship internationally though.
What is the difference between the case friendly and a regular screen protector? They have a few different option on amazon, but don't explain the difference.
By the looks of the post above compared to what I have got it seems to be cut out more at the top and the bottom corners compared to trying to cover the whole screen. The weakest places with my cover on are up near the very top and bottom so this should help it from not lifting when you put the case on but still cover most of the screen.
Both Skinomi and ArmorSuit make "case-friendly" screen protectors for the GS7E.
I've found one...

it does look cool but its pre order so it not even available
i just bought this one http://tinyurl.com/gkqlckx hope its good as most s7 edge glass protectors are bad even the name brand ones ...
Just received the Ghostek Atomic 2.0 Case. Even though Screen is not glass does not feel that back. No stickiness like plastic films. But for now just had it on for some hours so can't really say for long run yet.
It is a bit wider like a little over 1/4" more than the UAG case. Which adds to black borders on the front as seen on the pictures. So if you already had trouble using it with one hand, this would cause a bit more trouble.
The thickness is about the same as the UAG case when both are facing screen down.
This case advertises Waterproof but has 2 openings for the speaker grill on top and the home button on bottom. I would expect water could get in through those openings. Screen is dot matrix.
The look of the case for me is nice and does not make it look ugly in my perspective. As because the screen guard as they call it make it look like the screen is showing more than some cases that adds front black plastic borders on top and bottom.
The one thing is you might want to use wireless charging more due to having to open up ports more often if using a usb charger.
Here are some pictures I took. Sorry about quality. The best Camera I have is the GS7 edge. lol.
http://imgur.com/a/osNxm
Right now I'm using it with the TANAAB Screen protector.
I'll post more about it. But first reactions seems to be a good case but would depend on how you would see it and if the 1/4" width bigger than a UAG case would be a drawback or not.
It Seems that Ghostek send several out to Mobilefun or Uviyo in batches but haven't shipped through their main site.
Update:
Update about the openings mentioned above. The waterproof works and does not get inside case if there's nothing that raises the area where the openings are. I had the TANAAB TGSP that doesn't go full length of the phone let water in but when removed and tested no water went in. So waiting to test it with a similar TGSP like GPEL2 that fully extends the the phone and see how that works.
When With TANAAB. Sensitivity didn't change and could provide good protection if needed as the outside screen is just a thin plastic film.
Just wanted to point this out.

I just swapped out my Note 7 for the s7 edge and purchased the Defender and has crazy problems with the screen registering the touches. I then removed the screen protector now the phone is loose in the case and the bottoms don't align anymore. So I did the OtterBox warranty and when that case comes in I'll get a refund from Sprint for the Defender and go with a different case. Did you remove the screen protector and have the same button issues? Also like the screen was pushing the phone down in the case which aligned the buttons. Really sucks it just doesn't work without the thick crappy built in screen protector.

I live in desert area and there literally unlimited amount of sand everywhere!
can anyone suggest me a good tempered glass? I have checked some on amazon but reviews says they suck!
I have had two different TGSP now and they both End up the same. Does not stick to the edges due to the curved screen. But mine does not Collect lint at all even though it does not adhere to the screen.
I have not tested orzly or similar but they seem to work bad with cases so.. heard though that orzly were coming with a new model soon that is slimmer.
Tried a few, all junk.. Until i bought the orzly brand. The one with the black tinted frame.
I could be lucky but It fits perfectly, stick securely to the screen and is now holding for 10days of very heavy use without a scratch or bubble or anything.! Can be used with the original sandstone cover and does cover the whole screen!

I think it is the best for phones with cases even though there are issues with the "Halo" and it doesn't go edge to edge. The edge to edge or full coverage tgsp pull up with cases.

It depends on how you are aligning the TGSP. For my personal preference I've installed it a little more towards the left side to maintain perfect readability and on the left I can see 1.5 mm halo effect that is like some 2.D visual bending effect. With the screen on you notice a some small rainbow effect but that is the only noticeable distortion. I will send some picture later
Has anyone tried the TGSP from OnePlus? Does seem to be on the pricier side, but since it's from OP, it shouldn't have any problems with fitting at least

This is like the only quality tgsp available in my area, so can you tell me, does it fit with casings like the tudia merge? Cause I'm thinking of buying/
Using Nilkin Amazing H+ PRO. It doesn't stick all the way because of the curved screen but it doesn't colect dust in those gaps. Actually no glass for OP3 sticks to the very end. It's all transparent (no black areas), and covers the front camera.
I saw this review and went for it. Can confirm that everything in the video is true.
EDIT: Can't confirm any compatibility with cases since I don't have and don't use any.
EDIT: Got a refund, the glass started to completely come off the top of the phone, and what with covering the notification light and a bit of the front-facing camera, that was the end of it.
I put the Pleison tempered glass protector on my OP3 yesterday; it's the 'new version' screen protector found on Amazon. It's OK, it covers the screen (I've also got it in a Spigen Neo Hybrid case), but the cutout for the front-facing cam isn't exact, there's a bit of 'shadow' on the right-side of the cam when you go to take a picture/video chat/etc. It also completely blocks the notification light, which is a PITA.
The top of the protector isn't 100% adherent to the screen, there's just a tiny bit of gappage that you can feel. Also, it makes it a little less than responsive when swiping down to open up the status bar/Notification Bar, you have to make sure to press a little harder than you normally would.
There was a little 'rainbow' effect going on when I first installed it, but that went away by the end of the day. All in all it seems like one of the better protectors out there, given Amazon reviews, but I don't think any company's got it down 100% yet. I have no idea why......

Brought the OnePlus TGSP with the phone a few months ago. The glass is the same size as the film that came with the phone, so it doesn't cover edge to edge. Pretty annoying because there's about 1 mm gap on each side between the edge of the screen and the TGSP. I haven't put it on yet.
It seems like all of the TGSP leave a halo effect based on the reviews.
I am using the Orzly glass and I am not fascinated about it.
Yes it covers the whole screen, yes it is compatible with the original OnePlus Snadstone hard case.
What i don't like is that it collects a lot of fingerprints thus making the screen hellish in direct sunlight. Add this to the clearly visible dots and one of the advantages of OP3 is gone.
I am still researching for a good TGSP and might try the new one from OP.

Had that cover, its ok, but the only problem I had with it, when removing from pocket, it pulls my pocket out, because it sticks with it.

1) The material is different (TPU vs. hard case).
2) The slim factor is different (the Spigen case is thicker, longer, and wider).
3) The Spigen case will most likely protect more than this Pelosi case.
So if you're going for slim factor, get this case but if you want protection for your phone, I believe you're better off with the Spigen case.

I am a little biased because I have installed BSE protectors on electronics/phones I have owned, as long as BSE offers the option to as I think it is a fantastic product (good value for the money, shipping is extremely cheap to Toronto, Canada). It's not the same as a regular PET screen protector. I think you're talking about those plastic protectors but I find those scratch easily, and also, the application is different. I have yet to put a deep or noticeable scratch on a BSE skin but again, this depends on how you handle the phones/electronics. I even have this BSE skin on my Pebble watch and that thing takes a beating. Still no scratches visible on the screen protector itself on the watch.
I don't believe there's any oleophobic coating at all on the BSE skin, and if there is, super minimal that I don't even notice it ? With that said, I don't think it's fair for me to comment on the "oleophobic coating" (or maybe lack thereof) because I don't typically handle my phone if I have handled (oily) food. With regular use, I don't notice much fingerprints so it's not something that has jumped out at me.
I have had no issues with yellowing, and the "orange peel" look is VERY VERY minimal compared to something like XtremeGuard (the yellowing issue/orange peel was horrible on that). I had this BSE on my Note 4; had no issue with the S-pen gliding on it. The glossy screen protector from BSE won't cut into the clarity of the phone's display so that's not something to worry about. I have tried glass screen protectors and OK, maybe you can tell side-by-side the difference in clarity by a little bit, but typically, the glass protectors are used for drop protection. I prefer the BSE because the fingerprints on the glass bother me, and my main concern are scratches on the screen, not a shattered screen *knock on wood*.

Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to post this.
Looks like it offers very little protection on the front side though so I will be sticking with my Spigen Rugged. If only this phone was more popular, manufacturers would make more cases. I get jealous of iPhones for having all the cool phone cases.
Thanks again!
Did you guys have any luck with screen protectors?
I purchased 2 on gearbest (transparent ones, not the ones with tinted bezels) and they look horrible, all the bezels and around the home button... it looks unsticked due to the slight glass curvature. I'll upload pictures once I can.
I had the same and threw them away 1 minute after installation because they didn't stick near the edges...
So I ordered these on Ali Express. They fit quite well but don't really 'stick' the same way as the thicker ones do on a perfect flat screen so there is a way dust can get under that screen protector...

Thanks! It appears there isn't the ugly edges because it is smaller than the curved parts, but coupled with a good "all around" bumper case, that should suffice...
i use a non brand, from Chinese, tempered glass.
but it's 3D, edge to edge, curved tempered glass, covers fully until the metal sides
it even works perfectly with a case, full protection till the edge of the case
not sure if it can be found outside my country though, since its a no brand thing
can post a pic if you guys want to see
@ ZackoFF96
Could you share a link to a shop where you bought it, please.
Thank you in advance.

Hi, I would love to see a pic!
Also how is the glare on it?
It seems strange that high quality screen protectors that cover the whole mi 6 screen are so hard to come by. The ones with the coloured edges are sufficient to cover up the defects around the edges but I find the glare on them terrible.

Greetings.
I have a Kapaver solid case, specifically this ...
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B071...s=Case+mi6&dpPl=1&dpID=51MwFWjHV3L&ref=plSrch
The case alone I recommend, the touch of the case and the design seems excellent, and gives a very good feeling of protection of the casing, the problem arises when I supplement it with a tempered glass screen protector brand SMTR that I purchased, in particular this ...
https://www.amazon.es/Protector-Pant...X76P4DZ0K67DWZ
The tempered glass soon after putting the case up, I tried with the 2 crystals that are included, and both are detached. They do not seem to detach on their own, but when they put the case on, they leverage and raise them.
My question is:
With a protector that protects curved edges may not happen to me?
What protector do you recommend me with a rigid case like the one I have?
Thanks in advance.

I think my screen protector wouldn't fit with your case, since the lips of your case is far more towards the screen, my case's lips is shorter, just barely towards the screen
Hi, I have same screen protector as ZackFF96.
It can be bought from AliExpress, this is the exact one I purchased:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/3D-...rved-Edge-Frosted-Protective/32828496451.html
You can find more listings if you search "mi 6 4d glass".
Just make sure it has a similar style plastic backing on the screen protector. This is the only type of glass screen protector I have found to be full cover and full glue on back of glass.
This type of glass screen protector goes almost to the edge of screen, it leaves about 0.25mm of glass around the edge. It also covers about 0.25mm of the sides of the screen, only noticeable in apps which have lines going down the very side of the screen.
I use this case and it fits perfectly with the glass screen protector.
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/For...-and-Silicone-Back-Cover-for/32688209331.html
Compatible with pretty much all cases, I think only the very bulky cases like wooden or big armour cases will not fit. You will need to have the screen protector applied almost perfect though, if too much to one side or corner the case will foul on the glass.

Mate could you post some pic? i would like to see the final result , i ordered as well.
thanks
So I got the Nillkin Frosted case and XD CP+ Max screen protector, here is the review.
The case color is nice, similar to the blue that is on the phone, so it fits well. Case is thin, textured on the back and side which makes it very comfortable on the hand, it's lightweight as well which is good. As with you expect from a thin lightweight case like this, protection won't be much, it'll save you from a short fall but nothing Mil grade protection here, no complaints.
The camera protection clearance is actually quite good, considerably more than the plastic one that comes with the phone, very happy with this.
The only Con is that when used with the same brand tempered glass, the lip sits lower than the screen protector which means don't lay the phone face down on scratching surfaces.
Now on to the screen protector. Very nicely made, heavy, good touch experience, no problem with fingerprints(you will have to re-enroll prints for best exp).
The application is a breeze, just lay it down, don't even have to apply any pressure and the adhesive will stick, removing bubbles is easy too. I left 1 small dust particle somehow and now it's visible on the screen, don't know if that will annoy me or not, might have to reapply it or use the 2nd one that I bought. This is totally my fault though. The edges of the screen will be covered just a little bit, but I don't see any problems with that, everything displays fine in full, the tiny edges covered don't make any difference once you got used to it.
So to sum up. Happy with the case. Very happy with the protector.
I'll probably wait for a nice sturdy case from some US brand to replace this one though, lip protection isn't enough.

Great review, one thing I was wondering, any chance of weighing the case? I was considering the official oneplus Karbon case, that weighs only 13 grams, but costs a lot more, I know that Niikin cases are good quality at the right price...
Do you know how much the case weighs?

no. I don't have that kind of scale to weight it properly. It's real light, it's equal to the clear case that comes with the phone at best, if not lighter.
And seeing pictures on the Karbon case I don't think they differ much in terms of protection, this one got more grip for sure. Also in the blue color very closely matched with the phone color if you have the glacier blue

I have the same colour of 7t , I must admit I tend to like black cases, they Karbon case is only 13grams, which is very light, I did ask on Amazon with regards to the case the weight of the Nillkin frosted case and the seller said it weighed 21gram....still nice and light, but I find the 7t a tad heavy with my current case on which is nice and protective, but weighs 32grams, I like my case etc, but the weight is kinda heavy in the hand.
I have ordered the Nillkin case from eBay from a Chinese supplier, so bit of a waiting time, but great value at only £5.40 delivered.
I am a bit unsure about spending £27.95 on the official Karbon case for the 7t, but I do know they are quiality feel in the hand.
I have had Nillkin cases in the past and I have always found them to be good quality, I shall confirm the cases weight once it arrives.
I just got this case from AliExpress for 3.5$, it's a beautiful case. Fits the 7T perfectly and cutouts are perfect too.
Does the tempered glass border cover portion of the screen?

yes it does. And more than the official glass. If you can get it and can afford it I'd still recommend official. But this one does a fine job
This is the case that was super, super slippery when I tried it. Damn near dropped my phone because of it. Sent it back.

really? Defo not to me, it has textured surface on the whole back and also on the sides, no way it's slippery. Maybe you got a different version, check my pictures
Can you add a picture of the camera bump with the case on? I use it on my Pocophone and love it, but I already ordered the 7T and want to see If i order one for it.

Why can't they make a completely transparent one without black borders? All screen guards these days come with those ugly borders.

Because they actually don't stick to the edges. The shape of the screen makes it impossible for the protector to stick correctly and it makes appear some areas which are not in contact to the screen. The black parts are actually not sticking.
What I am waiting for from Nillkin is the Nature case. Because of the Gray variant. I have the Frosted Silver variant. Even though I liked the free case inside the box... it makes the phone a lot more frosted white. Especially on the sides. If only OnePlus provided the smoke gray color just like on OnePlus 6T, It would've been perfect.
