Hi everyone,
I'm looking for a way to pull data from a form submission that had been sent from a website.
Here is what I like to achieve:
1. the task will check if the data within the email contains email 1 and email 2 and or email 3, and stores the full name from form data in a variable named %fullname
2. If email 2 and or email 3 are not empty, send email to email 2 or email 3 with a custom message that says %full name just invited you.
Please let me know if there is anything that needs to be clarified, so that I am able to make it clearer for you to understand if needed.
Thanks in advance!
Anyone have any ideas?
Also would it be possible to do this via an SQL database?
It's probably easiest using AutoNotification, putting the body of the email into a variable and manipulating that variable. Read up on Regex matching and splitting variables. There are plenty of discussions found searching on Google.

Summiter and others, would you consider altering the new 8125 ROM to allow SMS Messaging to send a SMS to an email address that is placed in the TO: field? Most PDA and cell phones allow you to send an email via SMS by simply entering the email address; this allows the contact email to be autopopulated from the address book. Currently, the 8125 only populates from telephone numbers, not email addresses, requiring you to place 36245 in the TO: field then manually enter the email address on the first line of the message body...cumbersome if you dont recall the email address.
I've searched and searched and cant find a fix. Other people are looking for the same solution.
If you want to use your 8125 as a pager replacement, this is critically important.
This is not something that can be "fixed" in the ROM. You need a 3rd party program that can do this.
Hi all,
It's not really a Diamond specific issue, more a Windows Mobile one, but since I'm running Direct Push on the Diamond now, I thought it would be ok to post this here.
I have Direct Push enabled (Microsoft Exchange) and it works.
I have quite a few subfolders in my 'Inbox' on the Exchange server, having Outlook sending email to the appropriate folder as they arrive, using Outlook's 'rules'.
On the Diamond (mailbox 'Outlook') I can see all those folders and I have marked them all for sync - which works.
Now the problem is that I only receive a pushmail notification (sound alert/vibration and onscreen message) for email that is not send to a subfolder by a rule, and that stays in 'Inbox'.
When I receive mail that was sent to a subfolder by rule, it get pushed to the same subfolder in the Diamond, but without any notification.
Now who's dealing with a situation like this, and knows how I can get my new email notification for all subfolders?
Thanks!!
I've got the same problem, and it is realy a problem because I've have a lot of subfolders.
Jacky
Same problem for me too... any luck figuring it out?

I've wished for this for a long time and I know of no solution. I have rules running in Outlook to sort only messages that I don't need immediate notification of on my device. The rules to sort the others are disabled. Periodically, I manually run the other rules to sort my inbox.
I have a "different" but effective workaround for this:
Are you guys using Server side rules to move all of the e-mails to the different folders?
I set all my rules to be client (Outlook) side. So when I am at my notebook, the e-mail will be moved to the correct folders. When I am out in the field, and using my Diamond, those rules obviously don't run, so everything stays in my Inbox and I get notified of all the mails.
Back in the office, my Outlook rules will move it to the correct folders when I open Outlook.
Like I said, not the best of ways to do it, but it works for me
A probably dump question, but wanted to see if my company is running push enabled email and if is it possible to receive mail notifications on my Diamond by knowing the following: company is using Exchange Server - I can check my work email only either via Outlook client or Outlook Web Access.
From the above does it seem that I can have push email working on my Diamond? Do they have to be running some special push server for this to work.
I know I can ask this IT department, but wanted to clarify this here before I approach them.
Thanks.
@ EazyVG,
Since you're accessing email through OWA (and Outlook Client), that means your company is using MS Exchange Server(and Microsoft Direct Push, which is a part of Exchange Server).
So you can get the emails pushed on your Diamond as soon as they arrive(or any device that supports Direct Push for that matter) just by configuring an email account on your device with the settings same as of your email server.
Thanks for the info.
So, there is no solution to the topic-title issue?

There are several applications that you can try:
MessageNotify - Installs as Today Plugin, showing all subfoders with new e-mails
You can find it on Softpedia.
And CheckMail that claims to do the same, but the site section dedicated to the software is unavailable at the moment I was writing this post
The producer is called Magicashop
(sorry for not being able to send links to those applications, but xda forum prevents me since this is my first post)

Ok this may be a dumb question, and quite possibly Im missing something simple.
I have my email set to download the full message I'm on an unlimited data plan and mainly use the data plan for my email. so i'm not worried about data usage.
however my onto my question, when you open an email, a yellow bar at the top of the screen says "Internet Pictures Blocked"
I know its simple, and all you need to do is click the yellow bar, you read the message that says "To protect your privacy, pictures from the Internet are not automatically downloaded"
Bellow the message you click "download Internet pictures"
Easy, Simple, Almost hassle free, I know all that.
But not quiet Hassle free. and it had slowly became the thing that bugs me most about opening my mail.
Again I know Im probably missing something that is so simple most people don't even need to ask how to do it. But is there a way to make it download the full email including the images.
Iv'e had the x1 since it came out here in Britain, and maybe I should have asked earlier rather than, let it bug me every day. But I haven't because it felt like it was a setting i have not configured correctly. and i was just being stupid wasting peoples time with such a simple question.
But I put my hands in the air, I cant find it , I don't know how to do it. I give up. Can someone tell me what I'm not doing correct, and put me out of my misery lol
Thanks in advance for any help

That's a standard feature on most email clients these days.
It's there so that spammers can't hide your email address in an image request - basically the images generated by a script that confirms that your email address is valid.
When your email address is confirmed as valid its more valuable to sell on to spammers as a 'confirmed active' address.
You should only ever allow images to be downloaded from email that you are expectingand where you know the sender - therefore in any email the images will be blocked initially.
Full blown email clients may have a 'white list' for senders addresses that you will automatically allow images from, but not Pocket Outlook unfortunately.
Hope this helps,
FM
Is there a way to bypass that?
My x1 reads the email from 1 folder in my email account. spam, junk and items i don't require to check when out and about, are in other folders of the account and i check those when i get home.
Its just the emails that make it to this approved folder i check on the phone. and it would be good for the full email an images to be downloaded.
However i presume from what you are saying, that even tho i have taken precautions to filter and separate non important emails, that it is still in my best interest and for my own protection that the x1 does not download the images with the rest of the email. and that there is no actual way to change this setting
Thanks for your quick reply

I would like to download the images automatically, too.
No one with an idea how to fix that?
Hi all, I'm self employed and receive most of my work via email with the details in a pdf or doc file.
If at home I just transfer the details to calendar on my PC which syncs with my google calendar and then onto my note calendar. From the note calendar I can tap the location field and navigate to the customer with google maps and, if necessary, tap the contact number to call the customer easily while on route.
The problem is this requires manually typing the data from the document into the calendar. Easy on my PC but a pain in the butt if I'm on the road at the time.
Does anyone know of a way to automate this so I can do it easily from my note?
In summary I want to be able to get the job details into the calendar (stock at moment but not set in concrete), specifically the address into the location field and contact name and number into the description field.
Would it work if I got them to send out as a calendar invitation, I assume but don't know for sure, that they use outlook.
Sorry for the long drawn out question, I hope it makes sense. Any ideas greatly appreciated. Love using the note for my jobs but need to be able to streamline it's use when jobs come in on the road. At the moment I have to open the email, download and open the attachment, write down the details and either enter them into a diary event or type them directly into phone/navigation as appropriate. Not exactly high tech

imo the simplest solution would be if customers would send you invitations from google calendar - when accepted would automatically get into your note calendar,
Thanks p107r0,
I think it will also work if they create a diary event on their system and invit me as an atendee. In theory I then get an email invite which, if I accept it will populate my calendar.
Just messing with it myself and seems to work. I'll have to get my companies to try it out if I can convince them.
genious question, brilliant idea for an app, someone should make it

What if you did some sort of mashup where your clients go to a google hosted google apps page with a google spreadsheet that is acting as a form,
in this they can type the requirements.... and perhaps can select / type who they are (or perhaps type their UID which does a lookup to prevent data protection act) that has an action of add to calendar + email alert for you with the attached PDF that they select in the form?
I might have a look in to this myself as it seems kinda fun!
Edit: Found this example, that is kinda close

Second edit
Perhaps http://www.jotform.com/ can help.
Thanks fooby, at moment I'm working on getting them to set up a calendar event and inviting me as an attendee as I think that will work with a few tweaks.
Trouble is getting them to play with me

Hello, I set up a business POP3 domain email account, everything is working well except the emails received time (hour) shown. Situation is: If I receive an email at 11:00AM, when browsing the inbox it says next (right side) to the email subject "11:00AM", BUT when I click on it to full read it, on details (where sender email appears) it says the email was received at 05:00PM (6 hours later). Anyone knows how to correct this issue?
On the other hand, I tried to use the Gmail app for this same account, now gmail app shows the correct time, but the problem is that if I search a mail in the search bar, it never finds anything, even if I search just for "A" or any other commonly used random word.... I don´t know either how to solve this.
I appreciate your help! Have a nice one!
