Hey guys do you think is it smart to roll back to stock 4.3 because it is fast and stable, small battery drain or to use new cm 13/14 roms which use a lot of ram and are not as stable as 4.3 stock but support new apps..etc
I just want you to share what are you using now and what do you think its best to use i really need help because i will use xv about 5-6 months more. Tnx.

Hello I am creating this thread to know which rom between these 2 is better, most preferably in terms of battery life, stability , and of course, daily use,
I am tired of staying on the same rom and on Gingerbread (damn, it's an antique now lol) and I wanted to start using an ICS or JB rom, any, as long as it is stable...
I am aware of the SD bug in Korean ICS, I don't mind about it honestly, my games don't need SD and I can manage my SD through a SD adapter.
I've heard that CM10-M(X) is a stable version of CM10 released monthly.
Guys please could you help me decide which one between these 2 roms is better? Or if you know any other rom which is ICS/JB which is better then please tell me xD
Thanks much guys! I love the Ob community
Writing from phone...i'll be fast
CM10 m2 is stable, i use miui based on m2 since 2 days
Battery life is nice
Rom is fast but still, the korean version is faster
Korean rom is more stable and is also better in camera
The only thing that keeps me from using korean is that in our country using orange...you cannot send texts
We dont really use voice search and google now in Mauritius, do we?
If you dont text...go korean
If you do but this one is slighly slower...go jb or miui
Man...banla pou zour toi la
CM10 is better
I think For performance, Go back to some GB. For customizations, use chenlei's AOKP.
Thats all i can say

I am looking to start modding my Z1. I had a Galaxy S2 and used Pac-Man Rom before and loved it.
The thing is I want an Xperia based Rom.
So does anyone know which one is the best Xperia based (JB 4.3) Rom and why?
Also can you confirm if I require to unlock bootloader (and what are the disadvantages of doing so)
Hello,
the big thing is you have to try it.Everyone likes something other and different.I testet 7 roms for now and im not perfect yet. What do you want Stock?,maximal customizability?,voltage mods include?,deodexed?.It's a long table find out what you want and then ask for the rom what is voltage mod ... etc.

Hey Nico,
Thanks for the reply. I want something more Xperia deodexed like. Not looking for stock android as for that I would go back to Pac-Man (like my s2).
I really like Xperia UI but need a bit more that I feel like its missing: e.g. Ihacker or monxDIFIED but the differences between then seem very small. Major things are alike (boot menu, connectivity etc. ) so I would like to know if either of those is better or there is something alike that is better.

I'm running monx rom now with doomlords kernel and running pretty damn good. Just try them out, if u got the bootloader unlocked it only takes a few mins to try a new rom

hey guys,
I supportet monx a little with a little donation, and now i get the early Rom build.I have also to say i like the I Hackers which i have on my Phone now but the big issue is no recovery. And also i miss the reboot bars and stuff thats the point to go for me.My first well and fast running rom on the Xperia was the monox thats the point why i decided to donate some and get the latest stuff.Personally i can say that was the best rom for me on 4.2.2.Anyway all Roms are good,I try the 4.3 build of him and then i'll give a new feedback.
best regards,
Nico
just bote the note n7000 a couple off days ago and it was on stock 4.1.2 witch was awfull so slow and laggy etc so i made the plunge to root custom rom etc and now have cynagon mod 5.1.1 rom and while its an improvement over the stock im noticing my cpu is maxed out when just browsing the net or browsing facebook wuitch is causeing the phone to get very hot and battery is dying alot quicker ... so my question is whats the fastest and lightest rom for n7000
Omnirom 4.4.4 is the best rom for my note.
Official CM 11 kitkat is the best rom for me, no lag, smooth, weekly update, alot of themes you can find on playstore. Guaranteed.
First of all, "speeding the device" is not just ROM. It is kernel also, and other components (battery also, yup). I've tried several combinations of ROMs and kernels, and the best solution for me is TouchWizLite v2.0 and HelloWorld Kernel. TWLite ROM is touchwiz based rom, 4.1.2 jellybean, without any bloatware, only with applications that most peoples uses. No bootanimation, better battery percentage, etc. It is clear, and safe. Also got problem with my chinese battery, but gone with this ROM, definitely must have.
Performances: 9/10
Battery: 26h (7h display on)
Best Regards
I use SlimSaber (based on SlimROM).
It is light, fast and minimalistic with good battery life.
It also has real black theme to save battery life.
To reduce battery drain during browsing I use firefox with stylish addon and black theme for background.
With my first battery I can use phone for 2 days without charging.

which rom is fastest
hello guys, does someone know which is the most reliable and stable at the same time faster than the official jellybean 4.1.2 stock rom for galaxy note n7000?, i have tried ([ROM][LineageOS14.1][Nougat][Android 7.1.2] NightOwl 20180824 by bauner with this kernel: Nightowl-cm12.1-20160215-n7000-kernel) but i wasn't pleased with the speed and i want to change i had experianced some sort of glitch and i couldn't play my favorite game : (miniclip 8ball pool) fluently in it.
Hello!
i was using CM Rom for 2 years , but sadly the CM's team stoped upgrading the rom for Cm12 , so i searched for another rom , i found the OmniRom , flashed it nd used for 3 months it's a good looking rom , clean , and fast , but i should keep the cpu on (max 1400 ,min 400) and that makes the phone too hot while charge and drain the battery fast .
so should i back to CM11 , or could anyone help me to slove this proplem ?!
ART based ROMs are a little too much for our phone, IMO. They work, and you even can get used to their speed, but generally you can get better multitasking (more RAM) and battery life with older ROMs.
I would recommend to use kitkat or jellybean roms for real life usage scenarios.
Personally I use SuperNexus rom, based on pure 4.2.2 (not CM) with Semaphore kernel. SGS is my secondary phone now. I tried Lollipop/Marshmallow, but they halfed available RAM, which is crucial for our phone. Kitkat is OK, but still ~20% less RAM than JB. That sometimes leads to browser is unable to load some heavy web page.
I still think, it's fantastic, that SGS is able to run the latest android version. 5 year phone!

Yes, this is it.
Hey
Right now i am using 5.1.1 Neo's mod but i can't endure it any longer.
Half day and my battery is almost dead...
So i decided to back to android 4.3 or 4.4 and here is my question.
What do You recomend?
Original or custom rom?
It needs to be stable and ofc i'd like my battery live longer
Thanks in advance
Stock 4.3 with Xposed Framework installed is the best combination for our phones.
I am using PAC-MAN on my xperia v and I can get 2 days of battery life, this rom is amazing. If you really want to go back to 4.3 or 4.4 yes, use stock, but it is not very good for bayttery life. You have a Question like me before (look at xperia v problems thread by me). I searched alot to find best rom which have nice battery life, and i found it.
To be honest i would like the most stable rom.
I read "know bugs" of Pac-Man and i found that there are few like vibrations, headsets and know bugs from CM.
And that is little problem for me :c
I am using it and there is no bugs (PAC-ROM). Anyway you have to choose...
