Morning to all,
I have a issue on LCD "sim card removed" which is visible all the time on display.
My sim is working fine not a single issue on call, message or data.
Sin card removed always on screen when it's turn on.
How can I upload pix of this error.

If you remove your sim card and look closely, there is a tiny switch that would normally be covered by your SIM. What does it do??? My manual says nothing about it.
I'm not sure but i think anyone here has written that if the switch is in one position you can replace sim card when device is on and on the other position device powers off if you try to replace sim.
The second is the normal position.
But i'm not sure
Can anyone Verify?
I flipped the switch just to see... and BAM, now my Tilt has 3D graphics acceleration! (j/k)
In all seriousness, I did flip the switch, but the SIM door will not close with it in that position. If you look at the SIM flap, there is a little metal piece (looks like an upside down U), and the switch fits snugly between the metal lines when in the original position, allowing the door to close and lock.
its a switch to replace sim
when you open the sim cover that little microswitch turns off the phone thus stopping it from getting problems with sim issues.then when you pop in a new sim and lock the cover the phone turns on and boots up.
just like o2xdaexec said its used to shut off the phone when your removing the sim card
... and ...
... and that little switch is why almost all of the "how to flash" guides contain an error.
Many of the guides, including "HardSPL v3.07, v3.28, v3.29 and v3.56 by JockyW", contains a step calling you to "remove SIM card" in the middle of a series of events. These guides never point out that it will immediately cause your phone to turn off, which can result in many a skipped-heart-beat by someone in their first flash (which is why they are following the steps to begin with).
... Sigh.
so you dont actually need to open then
Just recently my phone has started acting up. I can't get into my text messages from the home screen. I touch the screen, it reads that I touched the screen because the message pushes down then up but it won't go into the message
Also, When a phone call is coming in it won't show me who's calling. Whichever screen it was on before going into standby is the one that pops up and once I answer it shows who is calling.
Any ideas?
Hello,
Yes i checked the internet and XDA, but i didn't find it.
The thing is Sometimes my Screen turns on and then directly turns off, after the screen timed out (displey is off). I turned of all checks like Email and others. But still it turns on and off every ~20 min.
I must say i just replaced my display at the official dealer, after the glass was broken.
The phone works 100% wifi, display dimms, screen is new,...... whats the thing running in the background.
CLEAR...
Well,as far as I know, this thing refers back to your hardware.
To become sure, once your should do a HARD RESET,format your mass storage and finally use your phone without sd card.
if it happens again, which I think it will.so it refers to the hardware.
Have noticed since the last update that the bottom of some cards has been getting cut off on the watch. Most noticeable on the weather card I've found, where the icon and temperature are almost touching the bottom of the screen when it's dimmed but seems to correct itself when the screen comes on.
Anyone else getting display issues like that? I've tried resetting a few times but it still keeps happening.
Also is the weather card supposed to disappear when you look at it, for example if weather is on dimmed screen, I look at watch, screen lights up, when I cover it with my palm to dim the screen again the weather card disappears.
My promotional 128gb SD card came today but I had an issue when I went to install it on my Note 8. It seems that the expansion tray on the top side of my phone refuses to open. I inserted the key that came with the phone.... nothing. I inserted the key and applied a little pressure.... nothing. I inserted the key and wiggled it a bit.... nothing.
I'm afraid of applying too much pressure and damaging the phone.
Does anyone have a fix?
Thanks
Edit: Nevermind I fixed it myself. As it turns out the plastic pins that came with the SD Card weren't strong enough to unlock the tray, they bent when I applied pressure.
The metal key that came with the phone is what I used to open the tray. It does require more pressure than I expected, but it worked.
