Hey Guys I've been trying to find a suitable thread for installing Kali Linux Nethunter thread but everyone is saying to install a Custom kernel and with some stuff to play with the " Boot.img " which can hardbrick your device if not done correctly.
So i found a workaround which would work with almost all Roms & Custom kernels without tampering any system files or flashing any extras
Before starting Please Make sure you have all the files stored at one place and go as the thread says. Don't skip a Step.
BASICS :
1 : Root is required for eveything.
2 : Basic knowledge of Copy pasting stuff
3 : Get to know what is Kali Linux Nethunter
The files you'll need to download
[ LInks are at the End ]
1 : The Chroot Package
( there are 2 types of packages " Minimal " & " Full" ) :- I recommend to download the full One.
2 : The Main apps which you'll need to hack.
3 : Busybox
[Steps]
1 : Please ensure you have enough space in Root directory not in Internal Storage. { 400mb approx }
2 : Install all the Apks from the zip
3 : Open the Net hunter app and just close it. Now navigate to root/data/data/com.offsec.nethunter/files/scripts and copy all the contents from scripts to root/system/bin
4 : Run the Nethunter app again and then navigate to Kali Chroot Manager. Now you have option to install " Minimal " & " Full " Chroot package. I recommend to install the full one. [ If the terminal shows any fetching error or downloading error just download the Chroot Package manually and paste it in the Root directory of your Internal Storage. ] and run the app again and choose SD card option. :- The Chroot extraction process would take 10mins in total.
5 : Open the NetHunter Terminal App and select " KALI ". Now it'll be in the stock window showing " 127Oneplus " or something just type " exit " and Voila You'll be running the Kali linux Nethunter on your device.

Thanks that solve the problem.....
Now nethunter terminal closes after selecting Kali..and yes I have given root access as well reinstalled busybox
First of all thanks the post!
I think a lot of people would find it helpful because there are not many guides on NetHunter for op3(t) out there.
Also it would be helpful if you shared the ROM(s) you had success with installing NetHunter.
Thanks!

solved openvpn installer problem, solved routing issues
I just installed openvpn on my GNote N7105 running stock 4.1.1 but rooted
The problem I solved was that openvpn* installer couldn't find busybox, but I have a good on in /data/local/bin, so I remounted / as read-write and made a link at /system/xbin/busybox to /data/local/bin/busybox
Then the installed couldn't find the "cp" command to copy the binary over, so I made a in in /system/xbin from busybox to cp
And then the openvpn installer ran OK but didn't see my openvpn configs and keys.
Because I moved from non-samsung device I had to move my openvpn files from /storage/extSdCard to the "internal" card.
And then the openvpn installer allowed me to start up openvpn. And I saw a tun0 device. But no traffic flows over the VPN. I checked the routing tables (main, default, local) and tried adding routes but no luck
So I searched xda devs and found this thread.
Any idea please?
--EDIT--
I restarted the openvpn server on the remote linux box and everything started working. I realised there was a problem when I used tcpdump and could see ping requests going over the tunnel to the server and nothing coming back. My laptop could also bring up the tunnel and also not send/receive traffic.

I don't saw any Stock ROM in internet for that phone and i don't found source code for that phone.
I don't found TWRP for that phone is released for it?
Caterpillar s40 is compatible to Xposed? someone have Xposed on that phone?

Source Code S40 + Recovery Mode
Source code cat s40
http://www.catphones.com/en-gb/legal/general-terms-and-conditions
but we don't have access to file for now lol
Cat S40 Source Code
but Cat B15Q can download normally.
Cat B15Q Source Code
i found too how enter Recovery Mode maybe isn't it CWM or TWRP but better that than nothing
1. PowerOff phone
2. Connect USB cable to phone
3. Press and hold the Vol +
4. Connect USB cable to PC or Power Supply
5. Recovery Mode!
I hope after we can download source code someone can make TWRP of custom ROM for us ;]
Cat s40 SuperSU + Xposed
I have SUCCESS ROOT + SuperSU + Xposed on my Cat s40 :]
1. Kingroot root
2. install "SuperSU_v2.65.apk" ( i installed it by Lucky Patcher as System app)
3. Reboot
4. use script "switch_armv7.sh" i added script i found that on XDA forum but i don't remember where.
If script don't work you can try again gain root by kingroot and in SuperSU update supersu binary ( SuperSU can detect Kingroot so you must uninstall it) This script worked for my Cat s40 fine.
5. After script install new binary in SuperSU app
6. SuperSU succes!
7. FlashFire flash Xposed Binary ( i added too Xposed binary)
7. Reboot ( boot is longer than normal)
8. You have SuperSU root and Xposed Framawork on your Cat s40
You can too by FlashFire make backup your system partition and use it in TWRP if someone do it for us... or flash it after gain SuperSU root ( FlashFire on Kingroot don't working)
You do it at your own risk!
First i tried that method on myPhone Infinity LTE ( i can that flash by computer when it bricked )
I think it can work on all Android 5.1 lollipop.
Wirusx, thanks for the feedback.
Can i get more detail and confirmation :
First use kingroot 4.9.3 found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/one-click-root-tool-android-2-x-5-0-t3107461
After that it's rooted, and then you install the script in supersubinary.rar . But can you explain in detail to put what file where on the S40, or do we only need to install the superuser.apk file?
Is xposed framework nessesary found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3034811
How about use uptodate kingroot and after that supersumepro ?
Rooted Cat S40 running 5.1 Lollipop
After several attempts and reboots all ok. Caterpillar Cat S40 running Lollipop 5.1 working fine.
1st thanks to all devs. (VickyB, MrW0lf, Chainfire etc). :good:
Then. My attempt consisted from pointers or several threads. Started with Wirusx and got something else from somewhere else. I try getting a whole picture here.
(I did not look for fresh look, but better battery consuption, better security and such. So no new roms etc needed. Cat is quite plain and sleek anyway.)
Basically it was of Wirusx instructions, but with some tweaks as apparently at this stage some update has tightened Cat OS that fewer exploits work.
Several files has be in phone (internal storage worked for me, sdcard not). One app from Gplay (Terminal Emulator) and ->
see this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/replace-kingroot-supersu-t3339950
1. Kingoroot - 2. Reboot - 3. Run Script (which will give you also SuperUser app). - 4. Reeboot - 5. Updated Superuser and another reboot.
- Done.
There were some moments when not all ok. After 3, verified through Emulator who is "in charge". "su -v" in same directory as you ran the original script. Showed SuperUser 2.65, so all ok. But apps listed listed KingoRoot/Purify. But not SuperUser, although the root was through it. I had to download it again via Play. After 5 all ok "in Wonderland".
Some pointers from unknown threads (which I failed to find again). Apparently the situation was like the following exerpt shows.
"It seems that the script doesn't work the same way on every device. For me, it just deleted Kingroot,
and left me with just a temporary root terminal, . SuperSU was never launched nor installed,
and when I installed it I got a "There are no su binaries installed".
I did the following to install SuperSU:
1. Run the script for your proper architecture.
2. If it doesn't launch SuperSU at the end or even worse, if you install it but get the
" no su binaries", DON'T close the last root terminal.
3. Run
su -v
If it returns something like SUPERSU-2.65 you're good to go. If it doesn't,
re-run the script again in order to push the proper su binary again.
4. Go to the terminal and type:
mount -o rw,remount /system
chmod 7777 /system/xbin/su
chmod 7777 /system/xbin/daemonsu
Note: at this point SuperSU will start to work, even if you didn't update its binaries.
4. Open SuperSU. It'll ask you to update its binaries, press yes.
5. Since it's highly advised to have SuperSU in /system in order to preserve root access
through updates, you just gotta move the SuperSU.apk included in the zip to /system /app and
chmod it with 0755 permissions.
I downloaded SuperSu from Play and it worked.
Rooted Cat S40 firmware update
Hi!
Is it possible (ad if yes, how) to update the firmware of a rooted Cat S40. My rooting process was the previously mentioned Kingroot -> SU, but after this the OTA update does't finish, even with FlashFire.

Hi, im new here and this is my first post, so i appreciate all the help and feedback you can give me.
im interested in using xposed in android TV Box's and Dongles, i've been reading and learning all about it for more than a month now. i've got it to work on most TV Box's and dongles that i have "RK based devices with android V 4.4 or less",but i still have a problem with one device which is an RK3288 based with android 5.1 that is already rooted.
i used twrp to flash xposed-v86-sdk22-arm.zip which was successful, than i wiped Dalvik/cache and rebooted, but the boot stuck on bootanimation, i disabled xposed by installing the uninstaller.zip and everything went back to normal. i tried it many times but with no use. i noticed that twrp doesnt mount internal SD, i installed an older version of bootloader which gave me the ability to mount the internal Sdcard, and i tried to install xposed again and this time it pass the animation and goes to a black screen where i can use the mouse but nothing else. with some research i found that UT3+ is based on firefly board and their original ROM is available for download and it has the same bootloader version that came installed with the device, after flashing the new ROM i was able to mount the internal Sdcard and i tried to install xposed again, and this time it gives me optimizing apps but after it finish the device reboot and get stuck again on bootanimation.
my question is, if there is a log for errors to know why the system/boot get stuck , where can i find them??
and if there is no logs how can i monitor the booting process to find the info i need??
also i know or read what bootloader is but i dont understand how it is effecting xposed installation.
Sorry for the long post, and thank you for your help in advanced
EDIT: i finally got adb connection with the device and used logcat to get the logs, but im not sure how to attach the files. if anyone can help i will gladly send the logs. thanks
Update 1
i was looking at the logs "didnt know what to search for im not a developer" and i noticed that everything is crashing and "Not granting permission" ,"Unknown permission " are everywhere .
sample of logs:
Code:
"com.google.android.partnersetup.permission.WRITE_APP_PROVIDER in
package com.android.vendingW/PackageManager( 4712): Not granting
permission android.permission.BIND_WALLPAPER to package
com.android.camera2 (protectionLevel=18
flags=0x58bc45)W/PackageManager( 4712): Not granting permission
android.permission.BIND_APPWIDGET to package com.android.launcher3
(protectionLevel=18 flags=0x583e45)W/PackageManager( 4712): Unknown
permission android.permission.READ_SETTINGS in package
com.android.launcher3W/PackageManager( 4712): Unknown permission
com.android.launcher.permission.READ_SETTINGS in package
com.android.launcher3W/PackageManager( 4712): Unknown permission "
so i decided to root again with KingRoot, and i tried installing xposed again, and it kinda worked. the system boot and the launcher opens but crashing messages keeps showing "Stresstest for 5.0 has stopped running" , "The process com.android.phone has stopped running", and others.
now im not sure about what im doing but i'll test two methods:
1- i will unpake ROM.img put xposed in the root and update the updater script to install xposed when i flash the ROM.
2- the device can run Linux version from SD card so i might run it and manually install xposed files.
if anyone have any tips or info please let me know. thanks
SOLUTION
For those who are having problems with their RK based android TV Box with android 5.1, if you get stuck on Boot animation or the system boots with black screen and you can use your mouse only, or if you getting errors when you boot the main problem would be your firmware is modified and up to Xposed V.86 is not supported because of the error "No implementation found for void dalvik.system.VMRuntime.clam" you can read more about it in this post https://github.com/rovo89/Xposed/issues/167.
and luckily dsa8310 made a modefied version of xposed, i tested it and it works you can find the download link here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=67787484&postcount=325

I can't get to the page with the link. (I get a noob alert) We want to try this xposed on a ugoos ut3s (android 5.1 with a rk3288)
Would someone please be so kind to post it here or tell me where I can download it.
Anyone that can compile Xposed v87 to fix this problem for RK3288 Lollipop devices?
https://github.com/rovo89/Xposed/issues/167
https://android.googlesource.com/platform/art/+/379d09fe3c3feb7c2a2fb5a3623689b5ace7e79b
Are there instructions somewhere so we can compile it ourselves?
The code above looks like it needs to be applied to Android source code, what must be changed in Xposed Github code to fix it and compile our own new Xposed only for our devices?
Thanks

yes. the android toybox/ toolbox used by blu has been altered and the mount function is not working properly. Same issue some have had with adaway, and other mods. The solution should be to install busybox and fully symlink it to /sbin.
I have not done it but based on your reported error it should be the correct solution.

Ok so what should be symlink then I thought busybox install took care of the symlinking. What's the command too? Also I'm trying to use Link2SD instead of the lovely Android m adoptive sdcard stuff basically keep sd as portable while using Link2SD so I can have my PC see the fat32 partition if i needed.

the symlinking is done from in the bustbox installer.
so, you still have problem with busybox installed?
not so sure what to try next. Ah, check in the list of installed links for busybox and see if "mount" is shown as installed.
you can try to install the "toybox" from V12. It is untested method and you would need to know how to undo if needed.
link to the twrp install of that file is in my earlier post.

Got it to work had to tell BusyBox installer to overwrite and symlink it apparently it's unchecked by default as its "not recommended to replace the systems version" :silly: go figure maybe under normal circumstances with a correctly functioning mount its bad but it fixed it stericson BusyBox installer did others weren't tested but I assume same result. But thanks for your help greatly appreciated it.
Just a note to anyone who comes across this thread if you use Titanium Backup at all don't use "BusyBox X" it seems to break T.B.'s ability to detect root this might be just magisk... or both SuperSU and magisk. but i had this happen with other devices some on SuperSU Some magisk but un-install "BusyBox X" (install any other busybox) and problem goes away not sure what direct cause is in "BusyBox X" might be because X is 1.26.1 and others are 1.27.1 ( ATM ) seems its always one version behind.

yes but because of the way we have to initially unlock/root the r1 it doesn't pass safety net with magisk unless android is not passing safety net again with magisk. but like i mentioned some things can break root "busy box X" with certain apps. also xposed framework systemless and normal seem to work well.
# Aria2 wrapper for android
### rms112 @ xda-developers, scripts provided @ GNU GPL 3+ or later. Aria2c binaries are GNU GPL 2+
*A simple download manager shell script using aria2*
### Description
I hated the download managers in android because every one of them is closed source, ads and analytics infested. Aria2 is my favorite tool in GNU/Linux which is available in Android too.
The binary was taken from:
https://github.com/aria2/aria2/releases
This wrapper was written to avoid the hassle of writing commands every time while using aria2. Simply flash from magisk and reboot. Then enter
Code:
download
in a terminal emulator and you're done. I recommend making a profile in connectbot (local) with download + enter key in automation post login command and save that profile as a widget for easy access. See screenshots.
This is very basic script. Since nobody was doing it, I did it myself and I'm not even an android dev. It was for my own use but i hope it will be useful to someone else too. Anyone willing to improve this tool are more than welcome to do so. More features for easy customisation to come later...
Oh and yeah the installer script is based off osm0sis's modules.

I've never used linux before .. So don't know how to operate it but can you specify steps how to start downloading and specify downloading path and it only support direct link downloading.. Right?
I've termux installed on my Android phone.. And if support would be provided then it'll be best download manager out there.. Your thread looks promising about it..
aria2 is my favorite downloader manager too.
we can use multiple source to accelerate download and you can resume downloading. the advantage using it in terminal it's stable no crash.
big thanks to the developper of this module i'm installing it

Just enter "download" in any terminal emulator. The location is set to /Download folder on your internal memory. And a bunch of other parameters are set by default for eg : download is resumed by default and you can have up to max 10 connections if supported by server. You can open download from /system/bin and check/edit/add other parameters.

Termux might have aria2 on repository idk but I prefer to use connectbot because of low storage on my phone. Termux takes ~100mb and I don't use anything except ssh which is done easily by connectbot 2mb package. I automate the script by setting 'download + enter' in local connection's post login automation and set that as a widget. Might look confusing but really isn't. Here's a video demonstration. Some screenshots for connectbot settings.
