What is the most stable ROM to date?
I was looking to root my phone and install LineageOS. Is 14.1 more stable than 13? What about the other ROMs?
Can someone please list all the bugs, if any, the the most bugless ROM? I can't seem to find a simple list. Will my Camera, Flashlight, Fingerprint Scanner, etc. work?
Thanks.

Try this https://forum.xda-developers.com/le-2/development/rom-x526-eui-5-9-026s-stable-t3609665 if you are looking for bugless and most stable rom, most of the custom roms have issues with camera, Resurrection rom looks beautiful and better for customization , aicp has the least problems regarding camera and flashlight, pure Nexus has the best battery utlization

[Q] Lightest ROM ?

I know this kind of thread is not really authorized here, but I'm not asking exactly for the BEST rom, just the lightest and the fastest.
All the roms i've tested are very slow, so I'd like a very light rom.
I don't care if it's Android 2.3, if the battery life sucks, if nothing is added, i just want good performances...
What should i try ?
Thanks
Try [Rom][4.4.4][Team D.I.R.T] Dirty Unicorns v8.0.
I came from Dirty to slim saber now. Best speed and batterylife and pretty much with any feature I need
Hi Tomatot,
As you said you don't mind Android 2.3.x (Gingerbread). Then CM7 would be ya best bet, if you can find it....??
I've tried, and been unable so far... Seems only one person compiled and built it, and only hosted it to one site... Can't find it anywhere...?
Cheers, Lister
If comparing DU with SK.. SK seems to be performing much better. Looking forward to their final stable 9.0.. Lightest rom for me is the rom with the least features/ commits. At times, basic is the best and the best performing.
Dirty Unicorns + pico 4.4.4 gapps but all kitkat roms are buggy so you may wont use it as daily driver.

Best ROM

Hi, i would like know what is the best ROM now for SP? AOKP CM Existenz ecc? A summary of ROM can be useful.
Sorry for english
Thanks
sir, u got death wish?
After many tries best for me is stock rom
I've used quite some roms and kernels. For now the best two would be pacrom and Crystal PA rom. They are stable, have some additional features compared to cm11 and they are fast. With williams kernel they work smooth.
If you are looking for stock based then in my opinion eXistanZ Ultra with Williams v7 would do.
Here's what I think about the different ROMs out there!
CM11 - Great support, lots of MODs, very stable. But tends to get laggy very soon.
AOSPA - Some great unique features, great Audio, better touch sensitivity ( All the @neXus PRIME ROMs have these features.
PAC - Loaded with all the goodness from all the ROMs, but had some random reboots but that might be my problem only!
OMNI - The ROM which is the most close to AOSP. Almost the pure android experience.
AICP - Loaded with features and honestly, overloaded. Gets very laggy, really soon.
AOKP - I'm not an AOKP lover, had random problems with AOKP.
Vanir - 4.4.2 version was absolutely brilliant. It was THE fastest and most responsive ROM out there. With 4.4.4 came lots of bugs.
CM 11s - A very nice ROM. Stable and good battery life upto an extent.
SlimKat - Extremely stable for me
Stock Based - They are really stable and provides improved functionality over the Stock FWs. But no KitKat love for them!
CM 12 - Alpha Stage and unstable obviously!
Out of all these I personally prefer the OMNI or SlimKat.
P.S : All these are my opinions and may NOT be how the ROM works out for others. I respect all the developers who worked behind them

No problems in using 4.4.2 but we don't want to stick with an earlier version when you have later ones, do we? Still it's a good option!:fingers-crossed:

[Q] Rock Stable 5.1.x ROM for MI3?

Hi Guys,
I have been using diff. of ROMS lately but havent found the right one for me. So instead of trying all ROMS(all latest builds) I would like to have your opinion/findings on what is the most stable 5.1x ROM for our beloved MI3. Below is the list of ROMS I have tried that i have trouble with. But i still thank the developers for keeping ROM development for our device alive!
IVAN ROM - Good Battery but having trouble with performance, especially with playing HD videos (it hangs mostly and noticeable lag).CM Cancro 06/11 - Fast ROM with good customization, but have few quirks like camera sometimes has problem or with SOD.HD ROM - Looks really good and very customizable, but has also trouble with performance with HD playback
Please feel free to recommend your daily ROM driver. Thank you in advance for your post. I will appreciate it.
currently i'm on RR's latest build with latest stuxnet+ kernel and the combination is rock stable , battery efficient , lagfree and above all SOD free
Paranoid ROM with phantom kernel...Good for daily driver and battery life is good.
only had this phone a couple of weeks - first steps: repartition, install TWRP and try out some ROMs.
Have settled on PA - I prefer themes to Layers - very stable, no in-call issues or device going unresponsive.
PAC rom latest version..
All SOD and network bug free.
RR has network bug.. I and many users reported. . also same bug in recent CM commit involved roms.
PAC, CM-Cancro, Tesla rom, OctoOS,RR

Dirty Unicorns according to me. Actually all ROMs are more or less the same. Some might be CM based while some might be AOSP based thats the only difference.
AOSP by Ivan. Its the best in terms of stability, battery life, smoothness. It is nearly stock android plus some tiny additional features.
If you want feature full rom then try CM, and others.
If you want stability and battery life, miui official global stable image or xiaomi.eu's one.
If you try something different (not miui) you can find a lot of roms. the problem is: more features ==> more potential problems.
aosp by ivan is cool and clean. dirty unicorns is probably the best with a lot of features right now.
i will recommend this. clean and stable.

Latest Official Ressurection Remix MM. Amazing performance, Doze is working flawlessly, no bugs, super stable. Gaming is smooth even when underclocking to 1.9Ghz and undervolting. And if you care for benchmarks... above 58k on Antutu.

RR vs Cm which is better ?

Can anyone please explain what is the real difference between Ressurection Remix & CM ?
right now I'm using RR latest (official) & except some bugs it's working like a charm.

Rr has more customisations than cm, bt anyways cm is the father of all roms, most of roms out there use cm as base rom.
If you knw how to edit/modify stuff or play with the rom, then there is nothing better than cm.
Both roms are equally stable, bt i prefer cm and i personally think that cm offers better performance and battery life than rr. With some tweaks I am getting around 9 hours of SoT
