Hi, my Oneplus 3T was working fine until today. I found out that whenever I am on Wifi connection, I cannot send or receive any Whatsapp message, until I switch to data connection, but I didn't change any of the settings. Anyone have a similar issue or any settings I should tweak? I am on stock Oxygen OS 4.1.6.
Have you tried fully removing the account on your phone and then uninstalling the app? This the only app you have issues in regards to WiFi?

When ever I'm connected to Wifi Calling on my phone I can't seem to send or "download" MMS (Pic, Group, Video, Etc..). By download I mean, my phone can see that I have a new MMS and it prompts me to download it, but it fails. As soon as I turn off Wifi Calling, magically I can send and receive those MMS. I am using hangouts as my primary sms app, I have tried various other 3rd party apps, all of which end in the same result. I can send and receive voice calls and sms perfectly fine.
I have the same issue.
I recently upgraded to Lollipop and now anytime wifi is turned on and connected I'll run into this when sending texts.
My M7 is running T-Mobile US Stock 4.4.2/5.5 ROM with ElementalX 14.0 kernel, rooted, unlocked, S-OFF. Since updating to the OTA 4.4.2 ROM, there are some strange issues that happen when using Wi-Fi. When I'm at home I have the phone always connected to Wi-Fi (using a 5GHz band 802.11n connection). What I've noticed are two problems. The first one is that I cannot receive MMS messages when I'm connected to Wi-Fi. When someone attempts to send me an MMS, I will get an error message that the message cannot be downloaded. I can then disconnect from Wi-Fi (which makes the phone use the LTE connection) and immediately the MMS is downloaded and can be viewed. Note that I can send MMS when Wi-Fi is connected, I just cannot receive them.
The second issue has to do with the Google Play Store. Most of the time when I get app update notices, the apps will update without a problem. However, there are some apps that just won't download if I'm connected to Wi-Fi. In the Play Store, the "downloading" status will just never update, it will eventually time-out. If I disconnect from Wi-Fi (and again, connect to LTE), I can then download/update the app without any problem. And like I wrote, this is only on some apps, most of them will update over Wi-Fi without a problem. It totally baffles me what could cause these issues.
My APN settings are default for T-Mobile US, since it is the stock ROM. My Wi-Fi connects to Comcast cable and uses Google DNS, so that's pretty standard and nothing is blocking websites/access.
Any ideas? Anyone else experience these issues?
Nobody else seen any of this?
Just discovered I'm having hotspot issue:
a) hotspot disconnects/disable when there is incoming calls or messages.
b) hotspot is still active when there's new Whatsapp message notification. However, once I opened Whatsapp to read the message, hotspot disconnects/disable.
OP3T is on OOS 3.5.4. Rooted.
Did not use hotspot when on OOS 3.5.3.
Never encountered the above hotspot issue with past Nexuses (NexusS to 6P).
Anyone encountering the above? Or suggested fix for this?
Thanks
Hey guys,
I've an issue with my hotspot stopping internet sharing when I receive or make a call from the phone.
If I have started hotspot and my laptop is on the network it all works fine, but if I start to make a call the internet drops.
Running stock software, and recently rooted the phone. Problem persists.
I had same problem on my OnePlus 2.
Anyone experienced the same issue ?
As we know Honor 4x cherry is non VoLTE device so we have to use jio4Gvoice app to use jio Sim for calling purpose.
I am facing issue with jio4gvoice app which is not able to stay connected to network even if it is not optimised in battery setting. It automatically get disconnected after some time. And if it is connected I am not able to receive calls when app is not running in foreground. There is only message notification that you have missed a call.
This app is able to receive call only when application is open on the foreground, but when you clear it from recent the problem will start again.
I tried many solutions like enable GPS, switch off automatic network selection. But none of them is able to resolve the issue.
Now I am frustrated with testing new ROMs of Oreo because this problem is not resolved in any of them.
Due to this problem I am not able to use latest Oreo ROM.
