Hello,
I've been on xiaomi.eu's global 8.5 ROM for a while and I've been looking here for a new rom that is not MIUI, but there are so many of them.
So, I write this post to know which of them is better than the others, or at least know the differences between them: CM, Lineage OS, RR, Paranoid Android, Slim7, etc.
Are all this roms working ok on this phone? Do they have bugs?
Thanks

CM has been discontinued, but has been succeeded by LineageOS. This seems to be the most common ROM for this phone.
RR and Paranoid Android offer extra features that LineageOS does not, mostly related to customization. You can read the first forum post for each one to see what to expact.
Slim7 is designed to be the lightest ROM with the least amount of added features, optimized for speed and low memory usage.
No ROM is necessarily "better" than the other - it is all a matter of personal opinion and what you're looking for. I personally prefer Lineage because it's updated weekly, but you might opt for something with more features.
As to which ROMs work/have bugs: again, read the first (or second) forum post for the specific ROM, and it will state whether or not there are bugs to be expected. Since this phone has been out for a while, most ROMs have been tweaked to work well with the phone at this point, but it's always helpful to read through to see what to expect.
As title suggests, which is the best and stable rom for 4A?
Im not a facny thing lover, just AOSP look n feel would be more than enough for me.
CM / LOS user for ages!, Owns OP5 and this is for my mom so dont know much about this devices' development or devs. Hence askin
No responses?
I personally use crDroid with Magisk, Xposed, Greenify and the Google camera. Pretty stable so far.
Yeah crDroid is propably the best. No bugs, officially supported with frequent OTA updates. Been using it for a couple of days, battery is much better than miui 9 global beta as well as the performance is through the roof, ram management just amazing! The best stock nougat rom for sure!
maybe you can try miui 9.2.6 global stable
Hi, I'm looking for the best combination of rom and kernel for battery life for Redmi 4X. I read a lot of thread about this, but none of them was really intelligible. Now I'm using latest MIUI ITA on Nougat, with stock kernel. With this combination I reach about 8h of active screen, very good (a lot), and also no battery drain. It doesn't matter if new rom will be Nougat or Oreo, or if it wouldn't have a lot customization, I only want to change ROM with a similar battery life. For example I like a lot Lineage OS, do you recommend it? I'm not very expert about kernels, so which one? Thank you in advance, waiting for your replies
Sorry for asking that, but I need this information.
I am a very happy user of Sultanxda's LineAge OS with which I never had any problems. Battery life, camera, performance, stability, everything is perfect.
Now sultan has changed to Pixel phone and quits development for my lovely OnePlus 3T
I need a perfect Oreo ROM now which has great battery life, performance and is really stable without making problems.
Which would you recommend? Omni? LineAge, resurrection remix ..... ?
Thank you so much for your help!!! And sorry again for asking that.
Omni is good too. More customisations than Los

Please stop asking for the best ROM (for battery, for performance or any other criteria), it doesn't exist. If there was one true best ROM, do you think there would be other ROMs?
There is only subjectively best and that's different for everyone. Everyone has different usage patterns and preferences, so when asking for the best, you get the best for them, not the best for you. The only way you'll find the best one for you is by trying them yourself. They're all free, anyway.
Also, keep in mind that the Developers are not competing against each other and they're not trying to win you over or anything. They all have different design goals, they're not trying to be better than one another. They're just trying to be different. Asking for the best is quite disrespectful towards the Developers.
Thank you for your understanding,

miui ms rom (Malchik-Solnce (Port).
The basis is the assembly from malchik-solnce on Xiaomi Mi 9.
Out of the box there are a lot of additional settings, and as usual trash from Google and xiaomi is cut out. The author of the change does not provide.
