WhatsApp notification issues on ANDROID WEAR 2.0 - LG G Watch R

My LG G Watch R has updated to Android Wear 2.0 and since then the Whatsapp notifications are not working properly. The watch vibrates every time there is a new notification but it doesn't show anything in ambient mode unless i get a second notification from whatsapp. This issue only happens with this app. I did a factory reset on the watch, reinstalled android wear, reinstalled whatsapp, used different custom roms and also updated everything but nothing seems to work. Any help?

TrackID on Android wear?

I know TrackID use to have an android wear app (app appeared on the watch). I tried to launch trackID from my watch yesterday and noticed the app was not there, though it was on my phone. I do not know if the developers stopped supporting Android Wear or if there is an issue with my watch/phone pairing where this app is not being pushed over.
The reason I am not sure is because in the past I have had issues with apps not appearing on my watch, but that was on previous versions of Android Wear for the LG G Watch R, and I have not experienced that lately. Other apps seem to install just fine, leaving me to believe the issue is with the TrackID app (whether not supported, or an issue with the actual app).
Anybody else notice this?
Cheers,
B.D.
Doesn't appear on my Moto 360 either
Does not appear on my Smartwatch 3 too.... -_-
I wrote to the developers right after posting this question and have not heard back to date.
On the Google Play store it no longer says it is supported on android wear, and somebody else changed their review to reflect that it was no longer supported.
Cheers,
B.D.

maps won't run unless you update the android wear app

I bought an Urbane rcently and paired it with my OPO.
Version info on Wear
Version Num: .3.0.2166028
G Play Services: 7.8.99
I am trying to launch the Maps App on google wear and it displays the following error message
"maps won't run unless you update the android wear app".
I cant seem to find a way to update the wear App.
Anybody else faced this issue or help fixingit?
Thanks!
Works fine on my Urbane and S5. I have Android wear app updated to 1.4 on my phone. And on the Urbane it's 1.3.02166028. Google Play version 8.4.89
Works well for me using Galaxy S6. Could be what seems like one of several watch problems when using a One Plus phone.
Worked after uninstalling the ANdroid Wear and reinstalling. Do not ask me why it didnt work the first time. Just like many of the OPO problems with a watch might have been another

Wear OS update

I've searched the web, so far I haven't found anyone that has received Wear OS 2.11.0 on their watch. I have Wear OS 2.10.0 which updated on March 9, 2018. I found a list of watches that are supposed to get the new Wear OS and the G Watch R is not on it but Wear shows up as "Wear OS" on my watch. A friend of mine has a Huawei Watch 2, he already has Android 8 and Wear OS 1.1
Has anyone received the new April update on their watch?

Received yesterday.
Screenshot :
Yup I've got it too. WearOS is technically just the launcher skin that the watch runs. No functionality change apart from the branding that I can see.
The thing our watch won't get afaik is an update to oreo.
My watch still does not work with Wear OS. Is there any way to check the update?

I have noticed some improvements in Android Wear/WearOS through the versions. For instance, there was one version of Android Wear that caused my favorite watch face design app (Pujie Black) to not load properly on restart. The next Android Wear version that came along fixed the issue.

Rooted Android 9, what is your working setup?

Guys, I've a rooted Moto Z2 force, I'm plannig to use it as an android auto device only. AA is not available in the play store, but I can sidelode any version (I've downloaded the 7.2.62).
I'm tried a couple of tools, AA Tweaker, AA installer, etc, but so far only the cartube application is showing in the car screen (but e.g. fermata auto is not)
I'm planning to use the some official AA applications
- spotify, gmaps, waze, abetterrouteplanner
and would like to have
-youtube, netflix and maybe carscanner on the car screen (in motion as well for the passengers)
Please share you working setup, which tools and which versions (including android auto) are you using with android 9 - or point me to a thread where it is already discussed
Hi.
I have a non root samsung note 9(android 9) with wireless AA set up to aftermarket smart module connected to OEM headunit in my peugeot. Uninstalled AA. Installed screen2auto with AA Ease. Downloaded and installed AA 6.6xxxx version. Activated developer options and selected download from unknown sources. Playstore forced update on my phone to latest version 7.1xxxx but kept original settings and third party apps. Enabled wireless projections on settings and this works quite well provided bluetooth pairing. So can use voice control to for maps, music apps and receive and send messages.

Thank you very much, the android version was the problem I've installed AA version 6.9.613744 (instead of the latest 7.*) and everything started working instantly.
Sorry to bring this topic up again, the solution works for me for a few days, than AA is not showing the extra apps anymore. If I uninstall and install android auto again, it works again for a few days. I have no idea why, is there a blacklist AA downloads?

My samsung note 9 is non root. I installed as described above and still have apps on galaxy note 8(android 9) and note 9 ( recently updated to android 10). You can try clearing cache of AA. But you should read through screen2auto rooted thread as you will probably find solution and/or somebody will offer good solution.

Yes, Google blocked again all 3rd party apps with Android Auto 7.1.
With 7.1 I have the 3rd party apps for about 2 minutes. If I don't start Android Auto in this time, I have to clear data and cache of Google Play Services and Android Auto and do all the setup again. That means I have to do this before every car ride.

Google Assistant problems on wireless Android Auto

Google Assistant in (wireless) Android Auto will transcribe my words, but will not act on them, and it will not read messages or the weather aloud. This has been a consistent problem through every version of Android Auto I've used. Does anyone know how this might be solved? I've cleared the cache on the Google app and the Android Auto app, and even tried a fresh install. Phone is a Pixel 4 and the stereo is an Atoto F7XE.
