What state is my phone in right now? - Sony Xperia X Performance Questions & Answers

I'm at a bit of a loss on what to do right now. I had an Xperia XP (F8132) which died on me, so I got a new one with warranty replacement. I had a TWRP backup of my entire old phone, so I did an official bootloader unlock of the new F8132, and then flashed the TWRP recovery. I then tried to restore the backup of my old phone and had everything selected, though it appeared to fail, saying something about the data partition not being flashed. Anyway, I decided to reboot the phone, only to find that it would not boot.
I can not get the phone into flashboot or recovery at all. As soon as I plug the phone into a computer, it will go into flashmode (green LED), regardless of what buttons are pressed. I've tried holding down the power and volume buttons for a soft/hard reset though neither seem to do anything. The screen doesn't power on either, so I can't tell what the power level is or whether the phone is on or off. Now, when I attempt to reset the phone, there are no vibrations or any indicators.
Nothing appears to happen when I plug the phone in to charge. I think it warms up a bit, but there are no LEDs. For the past few days, the phone has simply sat on my desk doing nothing.
In short, my phone appears to be bricked, and all I get is a green LED when I plug it into the computer. I've attempted to flash a stock FTF, but it fails every time with "Processing of partition.sin finished with errors". So...any advice?

Method1 : Maybe ftf error, try another one.
Method2: relock bootloader and use Xperia™ Companion to repair.
P.S. TWRP backup cannot cross drvice to recovery the data and system.

I've tried a few things, though none have worked so far.
I've tried using two different FTF files I've downloaded, and one that I bundled using Xperifirm and Flashtool but all give the same error. It appears that flashing will fail regardless of what I exclude, and even trying kernel.sin on its own doesn't work.
I am able to unlock and relock the bootloader using Flashtool, but I get a "getphoneinfofailure" UE_302 from Xperia companion, so that doesn't seem to work either.
I think this may have happened because I renamed my old TWRP backup to match the serial of my new device to try to restore it. I probably shouldn't have done that. I'm looking at the guide to "Recover 2012 and newer XPERIAs from SOFT-brick" by Toledo_JAB, but I can't quite tell what my battery level is at the moment. The phone has no reaction whatsoever normally, and no LEDs when plugged into a charger, but will enter flashmode whenever plugged into a computer.

Can you enter fastboot mode(blue LED) or TWRP?

No, I'm unable to get the screen to power on in any way, so unable to get into recovery. Strangely, fastboot does not work either. Regardless of whether the volume up, volume down, or no button is held when I plug it into the computer, I get a green LED and it is recognised as being in flash mode by Flashtool.

Unlock/Relock bootloader need fastboot mode.
So, how can you relock bootloader and use Xperia™ Companion before?
If you can relock bootloader, that mean you can enter fastboot mode.

I originally unlocked the bootloader in fastboot, but that was when the phone was still functional.
I relocked the bootloader using Flashtool, while my phone was in flash mode.

Relock using flashtool....
For flashtool, when you relock, you also need enter fastboot mode. So, I think, your phone can enter fastboot mode.
Or ... Have you got the log when relock using flashtool?
Maybe relock is unsuccessful.

The LED on my phone remains green the whole time, and it appears to be successful in relocking and unlocking.

Bootloader status : NOT_ROOTABLE???
By Google, it say NOT_ROOTABLE cannot get unlock code
Any I got mistake, I also can unlock by flashmode.

It seems this might actually be a hard brick, or close to one. It doesn't appear to be recognised by Emma, the official Sony flash tool. And it seems to come up as some sort of "SOMC Flash Device" for drivers. The s1tool and test point emergency flash for older Xperia devices would be incredibly helpful now, but it doesn't seem to support any of the newer Xperia devices. Is there anything similar for the 2016 line to recover from a hard brick?

[Q] My XZ don't unlock after relock

I was using my device unlocked for a long time, but I decided to relock, since I was not planning to install custom rom after the official 4.3 release.
But yesterday I was bored and I tried to unlock again, but I did not succeed.
Flashtool gives me the following error:

But then I tried to unlock manually with fastboot.exe doing this command:
fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce oem unlock 0x**************

And apparently worked, I was able to flash a custom kernel
But when I restarted the phone my device was entering on flash mode automatically. Not even the sony logo was appearing.
So I re-flashed the stock rom, and now it's ok. But I want to know why I am having this problem.
Anyone knows?

About the drivers: Everything is installed ok. I am using a Windows 8 Pro and I have a Windows 7 on VMWare Player. On both I have the same problems.
I found the solution on this thread!
It's really simple actually
For those who have the same problem
Go to the folder: \Flashtool\custom\mydevices\<YOURDEVICESERIALNUMBER>\ulcode.txt
IF there's no folder inside mydevices, create one with the S/N of your XZ.
and IF there's no ulcode.txt inside <YOURDEVICESERIALNUMBER> folder, just create this file.
Now, inside the ulcode.txt, put your unlock bootloader key and save.
That's it! Go to flashtool again and try to unlock your device. It will work!

So i was on Vanir 4.4.4 last version, and I ran Restore on BackupTA batch program, and then after that my phone wouldnt boot, Im trying to just use flashmode to flash the stock FTF firmware but it wont connect, this is the error message.

What does this mean? What would you guys suggest I do, ive never restored a TA before. Its just doing a loop of connecting in flashmode and then rebooting and then reconnecting in flashmode.
Edit: The phone does not reboot, it only flashes green on and off when connected to a charger, it doesnt connect in flash mode, and when i press the on button, nothing happens, if i hold it, it takes 5 seconds then it just vibrates, no life otherwise.
So its all okay again, I hadnt installed flashmode drivers. Im fully back to stock with restored TA and relocked bootloader.

Z1 Root, Backup, and ROM

Hi guys,
Firstly although I've been browsing the forums here for a little while, I'm newly registered, so if this is in the wrong place please let me know.
So I've owned my Z1 for about 18months, and its easily the best phone I've ever had. However since the Lollipop update its really started to slow down. I've rooted and installed customer roms on various android phones in the past, but this was all before I got the Z1, so I'm guessing a lot has changed since then. I've spent the last few days researching the forums and found loads of helpful info, but theres a few questions I can't seem to find and answer to so I'm hoping you can help.
1. What is the best way to backup my phone before unlocking the bootloader and rooting etc? I need to literally be able to restore the backup and have all my data, texts, even my Whatsapp conversations restored if possible.
2. I'm looking for a ROM I can run that will be as fast as possible, whilst still secure. Looking through the options, I think Cyanogenmod looks to be the best option for this plus ROM support, but does anyone have any better suggestions? (I know this is a hard question to answer - I'm more than willing to read/research any ROMs myself if you can just give me the names.)
Althoug to start with I just want to get my speed/usability back, its quite possible I'd be interested in playing around with Xposed modules in future.
3. I know a while back there were some issues where if you unlocked the bootloader and installed a non-Sony based ROM you lost some functionality (camera?). Is this still an issue?
So I think thats all for the moment, I appreciate any help/advice you guys can give. Also, sorry for the wall of text, thanks for reading this far!
1. Before unlocking bootloader - research on BackupTA
2. Before flashing custom ROMS - make sure you have a working custom Recovery and do a nandroid back-up - as for having a back-up for your whatsapp conversations, dunno, no idea. I don't use whatsapp.

I have unlocked my bootloader and installed the latest .270 Software. Now, I have still bootloader unlocked and when I tried to lock it via flashtool, it didn't lock the bootloader.
In the flashtool, there was no error while locking the bootloader, just the process has finished successfully and I can reboot the phone.

I tried this few times, but still with the same results. Have you ever faced such issue?

Thanks a lot,

After I reboot the phone, the bootloader is still LOCKED!
(checking it via service menu: "bootloader unlocked: Yes"
I tried this few times, but still with the same results. Have you ever faced such issue?
Current version: 14.5.A.0.270
Thanks a lot,

This is my log, I cant do anything :c help please. I got all drivers and flashed ealier in the day, my phone is on bootloop i am in panic, I just don't know what to do. Please help me.
Don't beee paniccc
Just try another file of FTF and try older version flashtool and make restart for pc
And better to try on Windows 7 not 10 if you have 10
It is weird cause I was flashing just right before, and actually I can't even anymore use some fastboot commands, I can't flash any new boots or recoveries, I think my phone is totally bricked., and yes I tried other FTFs
The solution to make my phone power up again was to boot cyanogen's img, the only one that works(the oficial) but I don't have gapps and I can't flash em, I have nothing here. The feeling is that my phone is totally bricked.
And I forgot to mention that my SIM is also not working. edit my life is saved guys, I installed older version of flashtool and it flashed normally
ok i am so happy now :>
Wellll that's great
In my opinion try to use official application from Sony pc companion
It's help you to flash last Version of software on your device
i got the same problem with my friend's z1 yesterday and i upgrade the flashtool to (v0.9.19.10) and it's worked for me
you have the (0.9.19.8) installed so all u have to do is download this file here
http://www.flashtool.net/patch/windows/x10flasher.jar
go to flash tool default instlation folder ( c:\flashtool) and replace the old (x10flasher.jar) with the one you download from above and run flash tool again and try to flash
hope it's work for you
when flashing process reach flashin (system.sin) the loading bar will reach like 95% and stop don't worry it's well take long time here

Xperia T won't boot into flash mode, also looking for stock recovery

I'm planning on selling my Xperia T, but need to reinstall stock firmware (preferably UK) on it and preferably overwrite TWRP with the original recovery.
I have tried every conceivable shortcut to get the phone into flashmode. Held vol down while inserting USB (that takes it into fastboot). Held the vol down and power button until the phone vibrates once and also until it vibrates three times but also get taken into fastboot mode. Perhaps my volume button is broken . Flashtool obviously won't respond.
Whatever the cause, I need to get a stock firmware on the phone. If there's a stock firmware in .zip format I can flash through TWRP, or maybe in fastboot? I'm also looking for stock recovery (this may help with getting phone into flashmode) but worried that means phone won't boot at all if I don't have a stock ROM installed (currently Lineage 14.1).
Edit: apologies for the duplicate posts, not sure what happened...
I factory reset, installed the TWRP app and flashed the latest revision of the recovery (3.1.1.0). I managed to boot into flashmode from here... Once. Since then I have the same problem, only being able to boot into fastboot mode.
Is there any way to access flashmode through adb / fastboot / some other method?
I've had some luck since my previous post. I've been able to boot in to flashmode a number of times. I have two additional problems now:
1) Emma, the official Sony flash tool, does not automatically detect the lt30p. Instead it asks to choose from a list of models. The lt30p and most older Xperia models aren't on there, so I can't go down the official route.
2) Flashtool hangs at Reading Device Information. After an hour and a half, it attempts to flash anyway and fails within a second. I'll post the log here but don't think it'll be much use.
If anybody can help - with a zip file I can flash from TWRP for example?

Success!
Flashmode, for some reason, only booted when plugging in the phone and holding both the camera and volume down button.
The "Error - null" was solved by another post on Z5 forum, using an older version fixed the problem and the phone flashed successfully. On a stock ROM now.
