I stopped using my ASUS tablet a couple of years ago when internal memory started giving me trouble, but recently I started messing around with it again to see if I could get it working again. It appears that all partitions have no free space so that i cannot install a custom rom, fix anything, or really do anything. If I go to fastboot and try to force install a new recovery or new rom or anything it looks like it works but it really doesn't. if I try to boot, I just go in a boot loop.
I got twrp to boot(can't get it to install) and it tells me when I try to fix the partitions that they have 0 space?
Anyone have a tool or know the steps to delete and recreate ALL the partitions for the TF701t(K00C)? Any help would be appreciated.
I've tried twrp fix partitions, I've tried it's resizing as well. I've tried to install a stock rom, hoping it would rewrite them. nothing works.
Worse case is it possible to convince the tablet to just use an SD card as the internal storage and not use the emmc at all?

I've seen a few posts with this issue, but not much in the way of resolutions.

I've been on CM7.1RC for a while, recently apps kept crashing for no reason. I have a lot of apps tried disabling some things with autostarts but there were too many apps and too many triggers and all to hard.
So tried wipe cache and wipe dalvik cache, phone took a long time to reboot, was OK for a while but then same thing reoccurred.
So I decided to reinstall CM to the latest daily following wiki instructions, but I did something in the wrong order and got stuck in a bootloop before I had put the zips on the internal SDCard.
So I though, I'll go back to XXJPK using ODIN and restart from there. Again, bootloop. I have download mode and recovery 3e working, recovery 3e brings up error message:
update media please wait
E: can't mount /dev/block/stl10
(Invalid argument)
E: copy_dbdata_media: can't mount DBDATA:
your storage not prepared yet.
pease use UI menu for format and reboot actions.
copy default media content failed
I tried to reformat the internal SDCARD using the recovery 3e options and re-ODIN XXJPK but no joy.
Suggestions?
I am getting the same bootloop described in this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1466838
but flashing with the stock XXJPK I originally used did not get it out of the bootloop. Any other pointers?
I was converting my galaxy tab p1000 files format (rom android 2.3.3 stock version) to ext4, but while processing in cwm screen switched off and i restarted phone then (maybe unneccesary). But now no rom is working because internal memory, flash memory cannot mount anything, its like stuck between default version of files and ext4 and i dont know how to fix it. CWM and download mode is working.
I installed stock android 2.3.3 rom, but when it run cwm to finish installation after flashing by odin, i have error like this:
updating filesystem...
E: failed to mount / dbdata (invalid argument)
E: discard_filesystem_for_rfs: cant mount/ dbdata
wiping cache...
formating /cache...
cache wipe failed...
updating application...
E: failed to mount /data (Invalid argument)
E: install_application_for_customer: cant mount / data
your storage not prepared yet. please use ui menu for format and reboot actios.
copy application failed.
Installing multi -csc applied the csc- code 'itv'
succesfully aplied multi csc.

It cannot read flash and internal memory properly. how to restore default version of files - not ext4?

Hi,
Take a look at the Overcome-site and follow the Guide to restock GB. Then you can go on installing an ext4-kernel.
I did it this way : restock v5 - Overcome Kernel 4.0.0 (after reboot wait for conversion)- Hyperdroid 1.5... It might happen that after installing the Hyperdroid you get into a bootloop.. Simply reboot into CWM and flash the Hyperdroid Redpill Kernel one more time...
Hi guys, received a VZW sch-i800 from a friend and trying to get it to work. Any relevant searches have led me here, but no suggestions I've seen have worked so far. Tab is stuck in boot loop. I've flashed it with odin and heimdall (versions 1.1 to 1.3.2) with various files suggested, but everytime I get back into recovery mode and attempt to do a factory restore I get the following:
--Wiping data...
Formatting /data
E:format_volume: rfs format failed on /dev/block/mmcblk0p2
Formatting /dbdata...
Formatting /cache...
E:format_volume: rfs format failed on /dev/block/mmcblk0p1
Data wipe complete.
E:failed to mount /preload (no such file or directory)
E:install_application_for_customer: Can't mount /preload
your storage not prepared yet, please use UI menu for format and reboot actions
and then a line of code telling me it can't mount cache.
I was able to get CWM recovery and the device would give me a different menu, but still the same issue with mounting cache. The instructions on CWM mentioned running a zip program from the sdcard, but no zip showed up in the directory when I looked on the device.
Any help greatly appreciated.
I have the same issue you reference. Did you ever figure out how to fix this? Thanks
I'm also having the same issue with my SCH-i800 after getting CM9.1 up and running. I'm thinking (hoping) it could have something to do with me updating CWM through Google Play (from v5.0.2.7 to v6.0.2).
got sch-i800 broke from someone we know

have you had any luck finding a fix for you Samsung table??
I have a Samsung Verizon SCH-I800 table 7inch and have tried many firmware flashs via hiemdall with changes but no success.
Looking for some more information on what I might be doing wrong or is the table broken?????
Ive had this phone for a month as a backup and I rooted it perfectly. Now for some reason it just stopped working. When I turn it on, it shows
Android System Recovery <3e>
Android System recovery utility
-Reboot system now
-apply update from external storage
-wipe data/factory reset
-wipe cache partition
-apply update from cache
-wipe nv partition
-toggle console VART Log
None of these work and I cant even factory reset.
On the start up, below it shows the Prompt

PLEASE HELP ME
How did you manage to get your phone in that state? But seriously, what did you do after rooting your phone that could cause this?
Bad thing you rooted your phone but didn't install CWM, you could recover a nandroid backup but, somethings weird here, "can't write NV partition" some people say restoring a nandroid backup fixed their issue.
Does your phone write this "E:can't write NV Partition." itself or did you choose option "Wipe NV partition" ?
As far as I know, NV partition contains IMEI etc., if the files are corrupted in there, theres nothing much you can do.
Try wiping cache partition, shouldn't be any danger in doing that, perhaps factory reset too but I don't think this'll fix your NV partition, you'll probably need to get your phone repaired and its rooted so your warranty is now void.
This problem is common among SGS3 & samsung users, but they usually can boot their phones, but can't access network. They r using some programs to re-flash their original files, they wouldn't work on our phones though.
I'm used to get such errors on my old phone. (not NV partition though cause I didn't touch it ever) These errors were usually due to using ext4 filesystem on kernels that didn't support ext4, so I guess your partitions are corrupt and your phone can't format them, did your phone sustain any physical damage lately?
Cache partition is supposed to be corrupted over time and formatted by system whenever that happens, It's easy to corrupt it but the problem with your phone is that it can't format it.
Try getting your cache partition working, perhaps you can still boot with your IMEI etc. corrupted and rescue your phone.
Try that 'KDZ firmware flash' method, most people use it to update their firmware versions but seen some people using it for unbricking their devices, however I didn't use anything other than LG pc suite so I don't know how you'd exactly do that.
It could also be that CAC file "/dev/block/platform/sdhci-tegra.3/by-name/CAC" corrupted, I don't know what that file does but it sure does have a role while formatting /cache, so firmware flashing may help with that
I'm not an expert, these are the only methods I have in my mind, good luck mate
there was none from the start. and I didnt do anything. I was just texting people.
Also do you have a skype? i need your help|
add EllisPlayist
I tried all those options, even factory reset, none of them worked

Hi,
First of all what important is that you keep yourself cool. Read first and understand it then take any step.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2179126
Try the above given link if you can reboot into software update mode.
Otherwise you can try the instruction from @RuedasLocas in Post 7.
But as far I think LG Flash Tool should do the trick for you.
Hope you will be able to do it.
All the best.
It doesnt work
I tried them and none work. please help

twrp cannot access/read data partition because it's encrypted. while in TWRP, you have to format the data partition to remove encryption and then you be able to access data. be sure to backup your data/internal storage before formatting, otherwise you'll lose what's stored there it's mentioned in most (if not all) TWRP threads related to Samsung devices.
thanks for the info I actually googled and found the answer however ,I do have another question the no-verity-opt-encrypt-5.1.zip is just for whatever rom you have installed to remove the encryption ?In otherwords if i just want to do a clean install from TWRP and install a custom rom I dont need no-verity-opt-encrypt-5.1.zip ?
