I am pretty sure the phone is busted. I have tried literally everything. I have tried flashing stock roms to the phone with odin. I have tried using the samsung recovery method. It is pretty much driving me crazy.
When I install a fresh rom, I get an EFS error also.
FRP is off.
When I am able to get it to the android recovery screen i see this
ANDROID RECOVERY
MMB29K.G920TUVS5EQA2
6.0.1
All of the boot opitons
At the bottom in red is says
E: failed to mount /efs (3 times)
dm-verity verification failed...

After having to restart my SGS I9000 more and more often, I decided to have a go with cyanogenmod. I installed v9 fine, and it booted properly. However after I restarted it (I can't remember why), I got the Encryption Unsuccessful screen...
I tried the various fixes to this, including swaping the sd card / emmc - no luck. So I decided to flash back to stock GB. When I tried that, I just get it stuck in a boot loop (cycle of Galaxy S screen for ~ 5s, then blank for ~5secs). When I tried CM7, it just sits there spinning the boot screen.
I've tried various options, and just get stuck at either boot loop, or encryption unsuccessful.
In the recovery manager I always get 'can't mount /data' or similar - but can normally manually format /data.
I don't have any trouble getting in to d/l mode, or recovery mode, and have been using Heimdall to flash updates.
I'm thinking I have some hardware problem - I can't understand why I just can't get it to boot anything...
Any suggestions on what I can try? When searching for options, I normally see 'Flash it back to stock' but that isn't working for me...
(Before I had all this trouble, my phone would often boot loop about 5 to 10 times before finally booting.)

Did you Try flashing Sock ROM ( 3 files) with Odin ? Do this .
Yes, I have tried that - same result as with Heimdall - just boot loops
The wole day i'm trying to install a rom on my HTC One and i rooted and unlocked my phone. I first used clockworkmod and then tried TWRP and the S- on. I didn't work for me too S-off with moonshine and rumrunner.
I was trying to install this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2356654 and it installed succesfully. But afterwards it got stuck and keeps hanging on the HTC splash screen. I still can get in the recovery mode (TWRP) but after triying to unroot the phone en relocked with security warning, all the files of the phone where gone Litteraly 0MB and that means there is no OS on it.
I tried to install an originall stock rom RUU but keeps hanging at the "Sending data" screen and then gives an error and restore wont help neither. I can't use sideload neither, it pops with an error too.
So i'm stuck and now i have an empty phone. Hope that i can get some help. Is it possible to return to androids stock recovery system so it comes with his own recovery files?
I have an HTC One m7 sprint and recently I encountered something usual in the sense that, my battery run out and I placed it on charge while the phone is off. After awhile I try to boot up the device but it takes forever to boot up. I have installed a cm-13 rom on the device which was very stable. I have twrp 3.1.1 installed on the device. my device is S-OFF and bootloader unlocked. For 3 days now I haven't been able to boot up the device to ROM because its always stuck at the cyanogen logo. Whenever i try to boot to recovery, the twrp logo comes and it takes forever to boot into the recovery menu. To be precise, 10-20 mins to boot to recovery menu. Now what buffles me the most is that, I can't format my data because anytime it starts to formatting process starts I get 2 kinds of red line errors:
E: failed to write /dev/block/mmcblk0p19: I/O error
Error opening: '/cache/recovery/ .version' (Read-only file system)
I haven't been able to Restore my backup because of the error above,
I haven't able to copy files to the internal storage
I haven't been able do anythings significant at the recovery
I can't install new ROM
here are some steps I have taken so far to help fix the problem but to no avail
I have flashed older versions of the custom recovery through fastboot but whenever I boot to the Recovery I still see the twrp 3.1.1 i flashed before the problem happened. Even though my command.exe tells me that the flash was successful but it doesn't overwrite the twrp 3.1.1
I have fastboot erased cache but nothing happened
I have tried to return the device to stock by RUU method but whenever I fastboot oem rebootRUU, the device powers off, reboots to white HTC logo attempts to boot phone instead of going into RUU mode.
I have a hunch that somewhat my internal storage is corrupted and is probably causing these problems but I don't know how to go round it.
Any help will be gratefully appreciated.
Its exactly as title states i was messing with stuff i had no business messing with and have gotten myself stuck in a boot loop where i cant access the recover options it just reads failed to mount like five times then does this process 3 times and resets it does still let me in download mode and ive been trying to flash back to Stock OS but it just keeps failing... Any advice on this matter would be wonderful and very much appreciated..
Also added info i was using Odin when i found myself in this pickle and i have a Tmobile Galaxy Note 8 (SM-N950U)
When i try to flash back to Stock i get (SW REV Check Fail : [ablFused 2> Binary 1)
My phone suddenly stopped working and after a reboot i got stuck at the unlocked bootloader screen . It says to press the power button to boot but nothing happens. So I flashed stock firmware using odin v3 but the same issue. I tried fixing the partitions in twrp recovery but it gives me an error saying "Failed to mount metadata - invalid argument".
So lastly I used Odin PIT flash with rewrite partition but it still stuck at warning screen I only able to access Recovery mode and download mode .
Does anyone have a solution ? Please help
