Hello everyone,
I'm new on the forum ... And I have a problem with my Android 5.1 HU (Xtrons PF75OLOA). Recently I wanted to update the firmware because it worked too slow, I downloaded a firmware + MCU, upgraded by Recovery Mode and after reboot I seen a wrong resolution ... probably 1024X600, I had 800X480. After that I did a search for other firmware for my resolution, found, upgraded it and BOOM ... Black screen, no power on usb ports, only few flashes on buttons. After few hours on forums I removed top cover to see NAND reset pins ... There are 4 pairs of pins + 2 big pins, I tried to short them, pair by pair (before installed RK Batch Tool + Drivers) but no recognized device in RK Batch Tool ... Have anyone any idea how to unbrick it ? Thanks
Note: This unit has only reset button ... The rest are touch buttons, so no power + volume combinations will work ...

Remove the astriricks. No idea if the sd slot is alive or not.. But getting it to take over boot might allow you to reparation everything.
Hmmm makes me think, usb mount apk by chainfire lets you hook up through usb in order to boot OS's on computers and such. There's a bootable Gparted.img that may allow you to get in and mess with stuff enough.
I'm just guessing hoping something will help.. I really don't know enough yet. Maybe start with microsd'ing twrp and booting it.
This is what i'm betting on; htt***p://elinux.org/UDOO one of those boot/otg/adb features exists already

You have a can bus obd2 adapter thing yeah? I can start giving you ideas for that. You have to power that cable, so it would make something live. It's to bring back bricked audi ecu's from the dead. There's other cables and eprom emmc yada yada yada in hex editors.. It seems nobody jumps in around here so I'll keep looking into myself cause I don't want that happening to me some day! Hopefully someone says something. Maybe post in mtcc section and it'll get some actual attention.

Ehh that sucks. I have a login I cant figure the email out for to reset the password. Bootloader mode[edit]
Holding the power button while turning on the unit will get you into bootloader mode. **This is battery power not acc power** The screen will be black but plugging in a usb to the front usb will prompt the PC to install the RockChip bootloader drivers - this might help ht*tp://www.cnx-software.com/2013/11/08/simplified-method-to-install-rockchip-usb-drivers-in-windows-xp78/

Hi,
Suggest two choices - try sdcard boot method or recovery from OTG as described in my signature.
Sdcard boot/recovery works for px3 but not px5 - see malaysk firmware thread for recovery steps.
OTG method may require modification to your unit.

All steps listed in the thread in my signature. You may find that shorting gnd & d0 is necessary on your px3 but before that, OTG must be available - again described in my thread.
Earlier when I said stickmount I meant drive droid. You could try tiny core linux.. Just for fun probably.... I still think the answer involves recovery/bootloader/otg/sd/anything. Go for bootloader>fastboot Idk :?

So i seen on my board I have the GL850G Chip and I easily desolder the last 2 pins but I don't have the port to solder usb cable ... It's a chance to solder usb cable directly to PX3 board ?

How did you connected USB male cable to FSUSB42 chip ? What pin for D+ and what for D- ? (in datasheet i seen the pins are 3 and 4)

Hi. This FSUSB42 is there to disconnect the SOM from the usb hub to directly connect to the rear USB for OTG/Loader - only thing is the chinese engineer appears to have erroneously parallel connected the USB hub - which defeats having the switch - which is why you lift the two usb hub pins.. I downloaded the datasheet, checked against the mtcd schematic and traced the pins to the rear connector. Anywhere you can readily solder the wires from the output/switch of the usb42. Make sense?

Hi, i have an half bricked HD7 and i'm trying to fix it with goldcard since i read this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1417761
I followed this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=893152
I have the CID, i have the goldcard.img, i have a good rom and i copyed it to my 1GB SD card after i renamed it to SCHUIMG.nbh. Now i don't fully understand what i have to do.
At this point on the guide:
4-connect usb cable except the one for the wp7
boot your device into usb host mode(volume down + camera on Trophy)
and connect the last usb cable.
the screen of your wp7 look like this if all work.
This point is not clear to me, may someone explain better what i have to do and what should happen?
I have an Y-cable and a female-female adaptor. Please tell me what to do.
Thanks for your answers.

connect all the cables, except the phone (micro USB on the bottom of the phone)
press and hold volume down button with the camera button, then press the power button, the phone should turn on with a grey screen and blue text in the middle that says "Enter USB Host Mode" or something like that..
connect your phone to usb
your screen should look like the photo attached in that thread
Ok, i did everything as you said, and my phone was in "Enter USB host mode". After i connect it to USB it changes to "Loading..." and remains stuck there forever. I also tried with different card readers and different micro SD (always 1 GB or lower), same results.
Notice that my card readers don't have a flashing light so i don't know wether they are working or not. I assume they are working because the screen changes in "Loading" but for some reason it gets stuck in there.
Maybe I should change rom? I'm using a NoDo rom i found on an italian blog since i can't download the ones the xda forum provides, i always get the error "server is busy" or something like that.
Do you have any suggestion? I'm using this rom anyway:
ht tp:// uplo aded .to/file /dud fva8j
(remove spaces)
Edit: the rom i'm using is not a custom rom of course, it's the original NoDo.

hmm, are you sure the ROM you're using is the one for your phone, you know, if your phone is T-Mobile, you have to download tmobile rom... etc
and maybe there isn't enough power for the phone and the reader, try using your wall charger not your computer/laptop
and try asking a friend to download you the roms from xda, especially if you know someone with different ISP
hope it works

I'll try to download the roms from xda in some way, can someone give me a link to a working one? I tried from this list but some links say the file has been removed, others just don't work because the file sharing site is close and so on.

The ones in the link are your only hope, hmm, try pre-nodo if nodo didn't download, or ask someone to upload the one you want.
oh, if you have a flash memory less than 1gb, it could give you better results.. no harm in try.

My brother has bought a used a galaxy s European model and it's his first smartphone.
The problem with the phone is that it's running 2.1 old ass stock Rom. It doesn't connect to any pc with the usb cable. He has installed kies and the usb drivers from the Samsung website. It just gives an error 'Usb device not recognised'.
He tried to install mobile odin pro app but it gives an error 'package not found'.
I'm abroad and I could only tell him so much over Skype.
Should he return the phone or is it repairable?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

This could be due two things
1) the USB cable is damaged or you have an incompatible USB cable ( Must be Samsung) only way is borrow or buy another cable to test
2) The USB port may need some cleaning or is damaged ( check link for cleaning methods )
Most of all when connections fail, you need to reboot both PC and Phone, after you have removed their power source, meaning unplug PC and pull out battery before checking again
Finally read this, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=27205737&postcount=4571 compiled everything I know to resolve this...

I bought an HTC one on the weekend. I bought the Bell version since it was $50 cheaper than the Rogers one so while I was waiting for my unlock code, I unlocked the bootloader, rooted it and flashed CM10.1.
When I received my unlock code from HTCOnlineUnlock.com, it wouldn't work and they said if I was using a custom ROM, that was likely the problem.
So I downloaded the original Bell M7 rom from the bugsy lawson website, booted into CWM and tried to install it.
It hung on "running bug_fix1" for a long time. So I reset it and now it will not turn on.
I've tried holding the power button, holding down vol+power, but nothing happens. No flashing buttons at the bottom, no LED at the top.
When I plug the phone into my computer via USB, HTC sync manager opens, and the device shows up in windows device manager under Android USB Devices / My HTC, but does not show up as a drive under My Computer.
Any suggestions??
Just a heads up unlock codes usually only work on sense roms...but lemme see your problem again gimme a sec

From my experience, some flash disk work and some other not. It depend on the power they require. If the flash disk require too much power, using a hub (even not powered) can help sometimes.

I removed some system apps but I think they are really a junk.

I would back up your rom with cwm
Then try flashing another rom
Just to make sure its not something you have removed by mistake. When I scroll through my system apps theres quite a few apks that mention usb and mtp.
It should just work out the box...
Also i had a problem with one of my old phones not charging. it turned out to be a tiny bit of fluff from my pocket that i had to scratch out the phone with a needle.

thanks for the reply, everyone. I'll try flashing another rom.
I'm sure there is a similar thread out there, but this is a weird situation.
To start i want to say I have never flashed a rom or messed with my OS in any way. I was using my htc one m7 as it ran out of battery, it wasn't updating or anything, but ever since, it boots straight to the bootloader screen. The problem is that none of the normal options here (fastboot, revovery, factory reset etc) do anything other than bring me back to the bootloader screen, or sometimes do nothing at all.
I also cannot take any of the advice in other threads for similar topics because when its plugged into my laptop it makes the plugged in/ unplugged noises but never gets recognized at all.
It seems bricked but I definitely haven't done anything to warrant it.
Can you select recovery and and perform factory reset?

The only difference is that I can't even get to the bootloader screen. I am stuck on the silver htc screen with exclamation marks in the corners. Have you tried running the RUU that matches your hboot version? Do you have a Sprint m7?
It's an AT&T one. Its not being recognized by my laptop either so I'm not sure if its still possible to run the RUU.

It only says HTC and then goes to the android bootloader screen. I was just at an AT&T store and the guy thinks the recovery is either gone or damaged which is why nothing on the bootloader screen seems to work. apparently i need to root it and make a custom recovery but I have no idea how.
