Hi, i managed to brick my p9 eva-l19, i was having the stock rom with the latest update, bootloader unlocked, twrp, rooted and i managed to brick him by wiping all. Now all it does is entering in bootloader mode, recovery (twrp) and that's it. I downloaded the stock rom with the latest update, put the update.app on an sdcard but it doesn't work in download mode, the update is not made, error.
What i have to do to unbrick my phone? i'm sure this question has been asked a lot of times but i didn't find a good answer.
When you downloaded the stock rom you got a update.zip and a full_data.zip (or something along these lines). Just Install them via TWRP ( VERY IMPORTANT: first update.zip and then full_data.zip). after that go back and wipe chache and dalvik, then go in the main menu of twrp and klick on reboot and then on recovery. You should boot into stock recovery where you need to wipe cache and do a factory reset. You should boot into stock firmware

Hey
I have got a kinda big problem. I wanted to factory reset my phone, because apps were not responding, force closing and I had a lot of apps installed (I am on B135), so I went in my TWRP 2.8.1.0 recovery and factory resetted. cache was unable to mount, so I only wiped data and rebooted. The same problem now occurs only worse.
I thought about the cache that might be causing this, but all attemts to wipe it (recovery, apps) failed.
I also thought I could flash the stock recovery again and force update the phone, but the 3 button method isnt working and (of course) I need the stock recovery
Someone please help

I would suggest that you install the latest twrp with flashify and then update your phone, because the newest twrp has the emui updater already built in, so you don't have to re-flash recoveries all the time.
Thanks Sproker,
One problem though. The lastest twrp does not seem to work because it is EMUI 3.0 and I am on EMUI 2.3?? I recently fixed it finally, but I still want to upgrade to EMUI 3.0... Is it worth it? And if it is, what am I to do?
Download the update.app (B135)
And extract the recovery.img
Now download ADB/Fastboot and the latest driver (HISiute).
Connect your phone with the computer and boot your phone into recovery mode.
Now boot into bootloader mode and search the device with "fastboot devices" if it is correctly connected, it should be displayed.
Now flash (first move the recovery.img into the ADB /Fastboot folder) the recovery.img you extracted before.
"fastboot flash recovery recovery.img"
Now you should have the stock recovery back on your phone.
But if twrp didn't work (erasing cache) the stock will also not work.
Try to erase cache via fastboot. But I don't know the code...
I rooted the device. And decided again to unroot it so i flash recovery.img and lock bootloader. But when i open it again it wipe my system apps. No camera no keyboard etc. i downloaded the stock c636b361 firmware. But using DLOAD wont flash it. Even on twrp. On dload i use stock recovery but still it always says software failed. Any suggestions? I already wipe cache partition and factory reset it. But still the same.
Hello Everyone,
I tried to revive my P8 Lite 2017 and it's impossible. I followed every guide I found but anything work for me.
I have access to bootloader also recovery.
erecovery not working, fail when try to download.
recovery not working factory reset stock at 99%
bootloader I can flash but maybe i didn't find the right firmware.
The version I had was PRA-LX140B105.
More information.
I deleted some picture so I tried to recover this photo so I used undeleter, diskdigger and these app said if you're rooted you have more change to find things.
I rooted the phone and when I used this apps, wanted to come back to factory so I flashed supposedly a stock rom from firmware finder huawei. I flashed boot, recovery and system. The first time I boot stuck on your device is booting now, after that i swith off my phone and tried recovery I do wipe cache also wipe data and factory reset then again 99%. I swith off again my phone start again the factory reset by itselft and then say completed, phone reboot and then i see the animation and stuck on huawei logo after that reboot by itselft and then open erecovery. Again I Turn off phone try to swith on and stuck on your device is booting now..
I don't know what more I can do.
I tried to put update.app inside dload folder in sd card but it fails
flash TWRP, restore this https://mega.nz/#!vspAXIZI!yHj-2n9DuGvb-ZdsemOgw4k3vQTMy7CJXIGFAhJlplo in TWRP, flash stock recovery, update to the newest firmware, do a factory reset and flash a recovery of your choice.
to get the backup to work, first create a random backup in TWRP then go to TWRP/BACKUPS/*random numbers* and put the downloaded backup there
How to root this big brick?! Damn huawei site not allows me to login! Need root bcs of few apps dmn **** nobody dont know and dont want to help me here???

You can use DC-Phoenix to restore your device.
Hey... how can I help you man?
Hallo all,
i´ve got some problems with my huawei p9. I have flashed the newest TWRP Custom Recovery (3.1.1.-0) to both recovery partitions (recovery and recovery2), and an open Bootloader.
Now i have tried to install the newest firmware for my Phone (EVA-L09C4321B398). There are 3 Files:
-update.zip
-update_data_full_public.zip
-update_full_EVA-L09_hw_eu
in every guid is written that i have to install the update.zip first. I have tried this and get an error:
https://picload.org/view/daowaddl/screenshot_2018-03-10-08-44-14.png.html
so the update cant be installed.
The next thing i have tried is to install it via "dload" folder. At first i have flashed back the STOCK recovery to recovery. (recovery2 is still TWRP). Then i have copied the UPDATE.APP to the "dload" folder on my SD Card.
Now i have booted in the stock recovery (Vol + and Vol- Pressed) now it starts the update but has also an error:
https://picload.org/view/daowaagw/2m7sv4i.jpg.html
In this case i have tried to download another packet of firmware and another and so on.... every time the same s***.
for every step i have whiped and formated the partitions.
now i´m unable to boot in the system because i cant install a stock firmware. if i try to boot normal the device stocks on boot screen. And i have made no backup of the partitions befor i have tried to istall the firmware.
Here are the Datas of the Phone:
-Device: Huawei P9
-Model: EVA-L09
-Firmware before flash: EVA-L09C432B397
-EMUI_ 5.0.1
-Android version: 7.0
Anyone an idea?

Hi! You might want to try doing what I did when I was trying to update my phone to the latest version. https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=75788148&postcount=13 (For the HWOTA procedure that I was referring to, here's the thread link: https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/development/eva-nocheck-recovery-flash-unapproved-t3705125).
I can attest to it that it was a clean install. I was able to install updates as well through System Update (I didn't reinstall TWRP after).

Old guides, your method worked for FullOTA-MF-PV builds, but new Huawei builds are no more PV. So wait for OTA, flash HWOTA.zip or use no-check recovery method
I call Huawei Hotline for this issue before. My phone is P9 plus, they told me so far they dont have any system update information about model which is below P10 series version yet. They just ask me waiting for system push message.
I'm going to give my P9 to my wife. Before that I'd like to do factory reset all apps+data+settings. Currently I have Android 6 + unlocked bootloader + TWRP in recovery + root.
Is it safe to do Factory Reset from menu Settings -> Advanced Settings -> Backup & reset -> Factory data reset?
Will I have TWRP in recovery + root after that?
Thank you!

For Factory reset you must first go to stock ROM and stock Recovery, see HWOTA method
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=75787156&postcount=3
If you want to keep TWEP and root, you can just clean Dalwik and Cache from TWRP but it is not Factory resetting
Btw, with TWRP and/or Root, phone will fail OTA upgrades
PS: Don't re-lock Boitliader (if you want) until you go back to stock and make Factory reset - peopke used to soft-brick the phones
The method you addressed to is only for Android 7. Is anywhere instruction to rollback to stock ROM and stock Recovery for Android 6?

For MM / EMUI 4.1 you have FullOTA-MF-PV (FirmwareFinder) builds and you can install (reinstall) them through TWRP.
You can also:
- unroot directly from SuperSU
- download your existing firmware from FirmwareFinder, unzip update.zip, use PC app Huawei Update Extractor to extract Boot and eRecovery partitions from update.app
- flash Boot partition (you can do it from TWRP) and then eRecovery (again, you can do it from TWRP or you can do it from Fastboot the same way you had flashed TWRP).
Then you can flash FullOTA-MF-PV by DLOAD method.
