Problem with stock rom - Huawei P9 Questions & Answers

Hallo all,
i´ve got some problems with my huawei p9. I have flashed the newest TWRP Custom Recovery (3.1.1.-0) to both recovery partitions (recovery and recovery2), and an open Bootloader.
Now i have tried to install the newest firmware for my Phone (EVA-L09C4321B398). There are 3 Files:
-update.zip
-update_data_full_public.zip
-update_full_EVA-L09_hw_eu
in every guid is written that i have to install the update.zip first. I have tried this and get an error:
https://picload.org/view/daowaddl/screenshot_2018-03-10-08-44-14.png.html
so the update cant be installed.
The next thing i have tried is to install it via "dload" folder. At first i have flashed back the STOCK recovery to recovery. (recovery2 is still TWRP). Then i have copied the UPDATE.APP to the "dload" folder on my SD Card.
Now i have booted in the stock recovery (Vol + and Vol- Pressed) now it starts the update but has also an error:
https://picload.org/view/daowaagw/2m7sv4i.jpg.html
In this case i have tried to download another packet of firmware and another and so on.... every time the same s***.
for every step i have whiped and formated the partitions.
now i´m unable to boot in the system because i cant install a stock firmware. if i try to boot normal the device stocks on boot screen. And i have made no backup of the partitions befor i have tried to istall the firmware.
Here are the Datas of the Phone:
-Device: Huawei P9
-Model: EVA-L09
-Firmware before flash: EVA-L09C432B397
-EMUI_ 5.0.1
-Android version: 7.0
Anyone an idea?

Hi! You might want to try doing what I did when I was trying to update my phone to the latest version. https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=75788148&postcount=13 (For the HWOTA procedure that I was referring to, here's the thread link: https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/development/eva-nocheck-recovery-flash-unapproved-t3705125).
I can attest to it that it was a clean install. I was able to install updates as well through System Update (I didn't reinstall TWRP after).

Old guides, your method worked for FullOTA-MF-PV builds, but new Huawei builds are no more PV. So wait for OTA, flash HWOTA.zip or use no-check recovery method

I call Huawei Hotline for this issue before. My phone is P9 plus, they told me so far they dont have any system update information about model which is below P10 series version yet. They just ask me waiting for system push message.

[HOW TO]Restoring TWRP Backup L10...B135/B136 ROM after other ROMs installation

Using TWRP some people have a problems with B135/B136 ROM backup restoration after custom rom installation (f.e.MIUI). In this case TWRP can't restore DATA partition of backup. This situation occurs because some ROMs are developed for other model P7. MIUI is based on the B124 ROM for P7-L07.. But not for P7-L10.
My solution:
Boot yours current ROM.
Backup important data from internal card ! (it will be erased by forced installation).
Download B135 ROM and save file update.apk to dload folder on SD card (dload\update.apk)
Restore stock recovery.img and boot.img by Flashify or Fastboot
Charge battery min 50% and unplug USB cable.
Reboot to Recovery mode (press power and vol+ buttons) and wipe data and cache.
Reboot to Install mode (press power and vol+ and vol- buttons). ROM will be automatically installed.
Reboot and minimal configure system (minimal because it will be replaced by backup).
Root phone by RootGenius and delete set_immutable.list by phone console or by ADB.
Flash TWRP 2.8.1.0 recovery by Flashify or Fastboot (similar to pt 4)
Reboot to Recovery mode and restore DATA partition (or if you wish SYSTEM and DATA) from TWRP backup.
Anyway You have to delete set_immutable.list to have full root.
Other way is installing My-RoM which is full rooted and configured for smooth using.
On my device this procedure restored backup properly. I have tried it many times !

1. Backup important files from internal card !!!
2. Restore stock recovery.img and boot.img by Flashify or Minimal ADB and Fastboot
3. Install clean B135 ROM
4. Root by RootGenius
5. Flash TWRP recovery.
6. Restore DATA partition from backup by TWRP or first delete set_immutable.list file and restore SYSTEM and DATA partition.
Anyway You have to delete set_immutable.list to properly using TWRP and another adds in the future.
On my device this procedure restored backup properly.

Did You wipe everything in recovery first and install ROM by reboot (SD card...dload\update.apk)?

After flash your posted recovery to get into the system will not boot at all and also to get into recovery, I could do a full install rom wipe. If I installed B135 immediately jumps to the beginning of the message fail. For flashing Iuse the method of the three buttons, because I dont get into the system and even there I do not have the possibility of local updates. I downgrade out of emui 3.0, which was for the L07 version of the phone and I have the L10.
After trying the emui 3.0 and difficult downgrade to emui 2.3 a have this problems with installing any rom.

Upgrade from MyROM v1.2 to MyROM v3.2
Hi there,
First of all, thank you for your work! I've used your MyROM v1.2 (running b135?) and loved it.
Now it's time to upgrade to MyROM v3.2, and I'm having some trouble doing it right, since I'm quite new to this!
I've searched all over this forum, and I nailed it down to this:
1) Flash recovery.img of b135
2) Put update.app of b133sp01 on sdcard/dload
3) Open update.app and do a local update
4) When b133 is "installed", upgrade to b602/b609 and flash its recovery, and do a reset.
5) Install CWM recovery and SuperSU v2.4
6) ... follow your instructions on forum.xda-developers.com/ascend-p7/development/rom-rom-v3-1-emui-3-0-t2977409
Am I right? I already ****ed it up a couple of times, and I want to make sure I do it right.
Again, thanks to all of you who contribute to customization of the lovely P7.

Help me unbrick my P9 and get back to stock (marshmellow android 6.0 FW) please

So i was wanting to upgrade my P9 EVA-L09 phone to Nougat 7.0 i followed guides on here to unlock the bootloader, install TWRP and root the device which went fine. I then got the 2 Nougat FW files from here http://www.stechguide.com/download-huawei-p9-b380-nougat-update-2/ and used TWRP to install the first file 'update.zip' which flashed fine but i didnt realise i needed to also flash the 'update_data_full_EVA-L09_ee_gb.zip' file before rebooting the phone, so after the first file was flash i rebooted the phone from TRWP the phone booted fine but i notice some apps etc were missing. So i tried to boot the phone into TWRP again to flash the 'update_data_full_EVA-L09_ee_gb.zip' file but im was unable to get TWRP to load and all it would load was the Huawei eRecovery app.
So i then decied to try and get back to stock FW buy getting the Marshmellow FW (android 6.0) and using the Volume up + down and power method to force the FW flash, that said it flash successfully but now im stuck on a 'this system is rebooting' loop screen.
Fastboot screen is still saying the phone is 'Unlocked' but FRP is 'Locked'. What do i need to do to get this phone working again please?, is there a recovery FW i can force flash via the Volume Up + Down + Power button method??

Huawei p9 bricked EVA-l19

Hi, i managed to brick my p9 eva-l19, i was having the stock rom with the latest update, bootloader unlocked, twrp, rooted and i managed to brick him by wiping all. Now all it does is entering in bootloader mode, recovery (twrp) and that's it. I downloaded the stock rom with the latest update, put the update.app on an sdcard but it doesn't work in download mode, the update is not made, error.
What i have to do to unbrick my phone? i'm sure this question has been asked a lot of times but i didn't find a good answer.
When you downloaded the stock rom you got a update.zip and a full_data.zip (or something along these lines). Just Install them via TWRP ( VERY IMPORTANT: first update.zip and then full_data.zip). after that go back and wipe chache and dalvik, then go in the main menu of twrp and klick on reboot and then on recovery. You should boot into stock recovery where you need to wipe cache and do a factory reset. You should boot into stock firmware

EVA-L09 inconsistent state

Hi there!
I have a P9 (EVA-L09) on my desk, which is in an inconsistent state. Meaning, that it in original condition it was a C02 with German Vodafone branding. Then the owner flashed some Nougat beta (can't remember which one), wasn't happy with Nougat and wanted to go back to MM by using the official rollback package provided by Huawei. The dload update failed and then he tried to flash different versions stock roms (can't remember either), leaving it in a constant bootloop. So first thing i tried was flashing TWRP. It boots up, but the touchscreen is not working. I think this is because some of the partitions where destroyed (firmware e.g.). So I flashed the C432B182 recovery and tried to dload the C432B182 firmware. The update process stops at 5%, maybe because in the meantime the device was converted to a C900? So I tried to get some C02 firmwares. The oldest I could get was C02B339. dload started the update process and failed at nearly 100% with the "Software install failed" message - no additional information. Because I have only fastboot and no adb connection, I can't rebrand to C432 (only adb shell in twrp is running, but I can't access the internal memory from there - or can I?). So these are the hard facts and I don't see any way to get a working rom on the P9. So, is there anyone with another idea? Would be great. Thanks!
Ok, I got it working again. Here are my steps, just in case anyone gets in the same situation:
1. Flash Stock recovery through fastboot, extracted from C432B182
2. Boot to Stock recovery with Vol Up + Power, it should start
3. Wipe cache and try to factory reset - won't work
4. Put C432B182 UPDATE.APP in dload folder on SD card
5. Tried Vol Up + Down force flash, but it did'nt work, so I wanted to get back into recovery by starting with VOL Up, and voila - it started flashing the B182 from SD card, BUT says failed at 99%
6. After that, boot into recovery again and see that factory reset now works
7. After factory reset restart phone and enjoy your unbricked P9 on C900B182. From here you can change to C432 with the known manuals to get the latest updates

HELP! cannot dload error at 5% . Debranding problem

Hello, i'm stuck and need your help.
My original rom was VIE-L09ITAC555B360 and I was trying to unbrand with srk. This tool is useless with nougat, and did not work in any step.
I've manually unlocked the bootloader, loaded twrp 3.1.1-1 supporting decryption and nougat, the oeminfo.bin and tried to installo the stock rom VIE-L09C432B373 unsuccessfully.
I tried to run update.zip and update_full_VIE-L09_hw_eu.zip in twrp, but I was stuck on errors. Somewhere I read I was required to wipe system data vendor cache etc... So the data partition is now unencrypted.
After I read about the dload procedure, but it stops at 5%. I've formatted a 16gb sd card from samsung created the dload folder and copied update.app. when i run the procedure with the volume up + volume down + power it starts and stops at 5%. Same result with dload on internal sdcard and without any dload at all. Always stops at 5% with errors.
How can I recover? I tryed to fastboot flash the system.img from update.app but still problems.
Please help!

Finaly the dload recovery worked using VIE-L09C432B360 firmware.
Why did it failed with VIE-L09C432B370 and VIE-L09C432B373?

B373 is not approved by Huawei
But now you can get B376 from FF (Works perfect with proxy update)
Yes, now I'm on B376
It's so strange I could not dload directly neither the B370 rom.
I had to downgrade to B181 to get the update menu appear again and after that I've upgraded to B360, B370 and finally to B376
here how to fix it :
