LTE only mode - Huawei P9 Plus Questions & Answers

Hi
I searched everywhere on web or on xda a way to access LTE mode only. My phone is rooted. I can acces 4G/3G mode but depending of signal force it automatically switch to 3G.
Any help for this ?

Galaxy S Advance Network Issues

Hi,
I got s advance for my wife 2 weeks ago thinking its the best sub 20k handset in india at the moment. First 2 weeks all was well. But since last 3 days she has been complaining about network loss issues as reported by all here. I even tested it yesterday and put it to gsm only mode. But it seems its still there.
Any body here facing this issue? I googled this and it seems there are a lot of people complaining about the same.

Yes all facing the same problem with galaxy s advance in India. The issue diminishes if you switch to GSM only mode by disabling 3G..
All of us should call and flood samsung with complaints. As of now they are pretending that no issue exists with the phone, despite numerous complaints on their own offiicial website.
Yup today I'm also having this problem ....what the hell...the basic feature of phone connectivity is hampered....
Guys there's new kernel version for those having network and battery issues kindly update your device from settings software update ...new kernel 6mb....kindly enjoy the beast now...who couldn't due to batteryy network and lag issues
Ok guys..what I'm writing plz copy and paste to every blog you know of s advance so that people come to know the reality of network error...first of all...there's no network error on this phone...no come to the topic why we get network error than...ok..in India we have 2 types of network one Gsm and one cdma...and those guys who used Android before..and flashed different countries baseband.remember we had new options in network...not cdma or Gsm we had use 2g only...but this phone with Indian baseband has cdma or Gsm...now we all know cdma service like reliance tata indicom and all..if you use that than put phone on cdma mode...otherwise put on Gsm mode..if you using 3g on Gsm or cdma doesn't matter...add some guy asked me that he using 3g so he put it on auto mode...in auto mode your phone connects to Gsm and calls again after call it's search for both cdma and Gsm network but your sin doesn't support cdma bands so network error again now your phone tries for Gsm and locks your phone...but after some time again it searches for cdma...and of you want to check your phone than put your phone only on cdma mode and try to call...you'll get error msg...network not found...guys relax there's no bug..it's just we were confused...and there's lack of communication between the Korean company with real developers and Samsung care..idiots...actually not there fault...they are just dummies ...they've been told to format flash and of world good otherwise send to head office...do guys all doubts clear..and the who sold there phones...the phone wasn't meant for you and kindly mail to that guy who's signing the refund in Samsung that he should communicate with Korean devs and try to learn what's the real problem and we're it is....guys I guess I I've cleared all doubts...regarding network error...which wasn't there...keep smiling keep enjoying the beautiful gift of life...
This is something happens with almost all android devices with 3G... Maybe.... Because even i face this problem on my galaxy ace plus...

it's true... one thing that might help is to turn network on/off a few times in order to get it working properly again... that's what i do... it doesnt work everytime but it's better than nothing, right?

Hi SAdvance, can you please tell me which stock JB update did you use? I used Stock JB for Russia and since then whenever I turn on my data network (Airtel, KA) it loses connectivity to the network and toggles in and out of network every 5 seconds. Any suggestions?

[Q] Problem with data after installing stock JB 4.1.2 EU

Hello, everyone! :laugh:
I'm new on this forums but I want to contribute as much as posible. In this moment I have a question, though; my RAZRi was filled with bloatware from Telcel (my operator in Mexico), so I decided to install a retail stock ROM, specificaly that labeled EU (I also tried with the GB one).
Apparently everything was fine, I even installed the CWM and rooted my phone, but I started to notice that my 3G and HSPA data weren't working. The phone showed the 3G and H+ letters in blue and apparently I had internet, but data is not received at all; the up arrow blinked from time to time but that's it. My WiFi and GPS work as charm.
I'm trying to figure this out because my girlfriend lives in another state and whatsapp is our only link while we're on the street.
Has anyone have the same problem using a stock room from a different country than yours? I'm thinking that it might be a problem with my operator's network because my internet comes back from time to time, but believe me, it's more the time that I don't have internet than the time I do have it, call it a 95 off - 5 on. It's been two days like this and I can't find a solution.

Im from mexico too , i have the Omars Rom and before that the french version of Jb, never had this issue
What about chek the apn config?

I have checked them, I even set the APN settings manually but it gave me the same result. What part of Mexico are you in, Marco? Do you know if there's any problem with Telcel network in Mexico City?

Sure. Well, I have two options under 'Select Network': Automatic and 2G only, Automatic is selected by default. Should I choose 2G?

It works! And actually I went back to my original stock ROM, just to make sure, and the same thing happens when on 3G/HSPA, no data, but on GSM everything works fine.
I guess that means it's my operator's network, isn't it? I'll have to call and ask them if there's a problem in my area; it's a shame because, in the meantime, I'll have to stay on 2G just to keep my internet working ):

Yeah maybe its a telcel problem, im on Monterrey, Nuevo Leon. And here i havent any issue i have hdspa/hdspa+/3g/2g working
I never has to change my apn, on every custom rom or homemade fastboot it already install it

Razer Phone 2 No LTE Connection

Hey guys , just received my RP2 today and out the box i put my nano SIM in but i have no LTE connection at all ... Here a picture of the issue :
I've tried the dial solution [*#*#4636#*#*] but it not workedd ... APN options same .... disable adblocker vpn same ....
I've check the band for LTE connection for where i am ( France ) and its seems to be okay but no LTE anyway ...
Someone have the same problem ? The razer phone 1 had a lot of issues too with network but i've deal with them during 1 year ( it was hard ) but if the razer phone 2 i've take for replacement of the rp1 is worst ,i think my journey with razer is gonna end here ... dont have time for more research on basic smartphones function ...

Same problem here. It works on every Italian band (3,8,20) but sometimes (and it really depends on the tower, as the issue is geo-localized) it connects to the LTE network but it doesn't have connectivity (like you, the annoying X belove the signal).
This leads me to think that it is a carrier problem; nevertheless, so people that work for the carrier itself said that in Italy (and most likely across all Europe, so it applies to you as well) carriers have a list of well-known device manufacturer, LTE will work properly with them (as they are whitelisted) while won't work (correctly or at all) with "unknown" devices. You can easily tell that razer is not a "known" device for those carriers.
First of all, you need to disable VoLTE, both on the device and carrier side (if they have a whitelist for VoLTE as well, very likely). Then you can report us back. Maybe we can try to find a solution together.
Try manually inputting your APN settings
I've tried the hard reset , dial solution , VoltE , manual apn but the problem is still here ... Like u have said my device is labelled "unknow device " in my carrier portal , so maybe this is an unsolvable issue ? I need a working phone for my work so i ve send back the phone a few days ago and will replace him for a huawai mate 20 pro model . So i dont need anymore help for this now . Thanks for the help anyway and good luck for resolving this issue ^^ .

No VoLTE or WifiCalling on your OP7P? Here is the Solution!

I've been searching all around, called my Carrier support, opened a Bug report on OnePlus for this issue posted around the forum, no one was able to help.
I even have a thread (where i will link this one) asking people with whom it worked and didn't work... and now i found the solution. I just tested on my 7pro, and it worked!

You can enable switches for volte, but they dont do a thing if your operator didnt certified op7...
I don't think here in Austria 3 provider and A1 are certified oneplus phones but these phones work well with ims profiles from other countries like OnePlus 6t for 3 (three at)
Have used profile from 3 uk telefonica , and for A1 network here profile from German telekom and from India booth worked volte and wifi calling ,
done with qpst

i got the Chinese version of the phone (12gb ram version for a great price from wonda). Flashed international oxygen OS and my wifi calling and 4g calling/volte work with Three UK. didnt need to do any of the above.

I'm having that very problem. The switch is there but it always reverts back to H+ when calling.

Question VoLTE VoWIFI just won't work. Any help?

I just moved to Australia from India and I won't get VoLTE on my device. I scoured through the forums and I don't see a solution other than rooting. I can't root my device as it is my primary and I need to continue using my banking apps.
I checked with Optus and they support VoLTE. I verified the same with my friends. It works fine on their devices.
I get the option for wifi calling but I don't get the feature to work. (I have it on in the settings)
Can someone tell me if there is a way to get it work oither than rooting?

No, to enable VoLTE you MUST have root access, such a shame for OnePlus!!
