Strange Problem with Dash Charging - OnePlus 3T Questions & Answers

I have a strange problem with Dash Charging on my phone. When I connect the dash charger the blue light comes on and I get the bolt symbol. After a minute or two the blue light goes away and the lock screen does not say dash charging anymore. The notification icon however still shows the bolt symbol. If I keep the charger connected the battery percentage just sits fixed and does not advance.
When I remove the charger my battery will keep at the same percentage for a long time and then starts depleting. I feel like the battery is charged and it's only an indication problem.
This is a brand new phone with an original charger, I went to the retailer and he even changed the dash charger and cable and I get the same behavior with the second charger and cable set as well.
Additionally, if I charge with a regular non-dash charger my phone charges just fine. I get a red charging light and the charging percentage advances normally.
Please advise what to do?

Red LED Light

Hi,
After using my phone all day yesterday it went down to 15% battery so I turned it off and put it on charge using a mains charger. When I switched the plug on the LED went red and I assumed it was charging the phone.
Got up this morning and the led is still red and the phone won't switch on so I am assuming it didn't charge properly, have plugged in the usb charger and am now waiting to see if the light goes green once charged...
Any ideas why the light was red if it wasn't charging, and why it is still red this morning, does it do this when the battery is low and the phone is off?
When the phone is turned off and charging, it will be red. When the battery is enough (not full), it will boot up to a charging state.
All you will see is a battery with a green bar across it.The led will now emit, yellow/red.
Not sure what the problem was but I'm guessing this phone cannot be charged correctly with a mains charger so I will stick to using USB chargers connected to the mains, once I switched to that charger the phone started charging correctly and the led went from red to orange to say it was actually charging
It is not good to leave your phone charging overnight.

take a look at this article. I have been following these steps and even till today my iphone 4 battery operates like the day I first got the phone.

charging problem

So i've had charging problems on and off for a while but last night was weird. So I charge my phone on my 2.0 car charger but the battery percent goes down, then i get home and attach it to a 1.2 wall charger that usually will charge it. I wake up and my phone is completely dead, i did check the icon and it was charging when i sat it down.. I then disconnect the charger and plug it back in, after about 10 seconds the screen changes to a charging icon on the black screen.
I can maybe understand an app draining my battery or maybe my car charger not putting out enough, but for it to not charge when it dies is strange.

Check what mAh it is pulling in when charging. Download "Ampere" from Play Store. It will also tell you how much mAh is draining when it is not plugged in.
I had the same problem when I had damaged (cheap) usb cable.
try to change it.
Also you might have dust in your phone port. try to clean it carefully. (youtube videos should help with ideas how to clean it)

Problems charging TouchPad

Hi There,
Need some help/advice,
My TP 32Gb, running 7.1.1 has had a problem recently with charging. It always charges when it is first switched on, if left the screen switches off and the charging light goes out and then no further charging happens. It wonder if I should leave the screen on all the time, this way it will continue to charge. If I place the tablet on the Touchstone, a clock face appears whilst it is charging - is there anyway that I can do this using a bog standard charging cable?
Many thanks.
It charges on the touchstone, but not via direct cable to the HP barrel charger?
Are you using the same barrel charger? or two different ones?

Stock Nook HD Not Charging

Note I have replaced the battery (battery worked but the unit wasn't charging which tells me bad cable.) Today I had gotten a cable after a long dry spell of not having any money to spare. Plug it in. Unit light turns green, then orange, shows charging icon, then screen blinks and shows empty battery + wall plug Icon. Then turns off.
I suspect the battery is just so dead that it isn't registering as charged. Took the unit apart to plug the charger in with the battery unplugged which caused a red light and blank screen. Plugged battery back in. Same behavior as before.
Do i just keep flicking it on whenever it turns off to hope enough charge trickles in so the internal controller perks and goes 'oh wait I need to do something'?
Edit: Turns on now but it says it's at 11% and not charging. Do i flash cyanogenmod and hope thatdoes something?

Powered off phone "100% charged" constantly looping/charging.

I normally turn off my device at night and plug it in to charge. When I woke up in the night I noticed the green 100% charger circle was lit up and it would go away, then the red charging dot would reappear then turn off after a few seconds then the 100% charged circle would come back, and this would cycle over and over again all night long. I assume this would ultimate eventually screw up the battery from constantly cycling like this? The charger I was using is an old (maybe Note s7 edge?) micro USB cable with one of the Note7 USB-C to Micro USB adapters and a Samsung Adaptive fast charger brick. I have tried a few different chargers/cords and it seems like this issue is a hit or miss with the power looping. My device is Unlocked currently on Verizon.
Has anyone else experienced this?
I used the Samsung Wireless Charging Pad (not fast charger) last night and I had no issue at all. Attached is a Dropbox link of a video I took of the issue.

Loose ends somewhere. I get that same problem wireless charging when it is not quite centered.
