That's a 64bit version, bud. Of course it won't work. 4.1.006.135988111 is the newest one that works, everything with a higher version number just crashes on startup. Movie recording doesn't work either but you can still use it for its amazing pano and 360 features.
Sizzled with Bacon ?

Oh, that's good to know, thanks. Apparently it doesn't on either RR or AOSiP. I keep getting "Camera error | Can't connect to the camera". Recording works fine with other apps like Bacon Camera.
What is the best version to use on Lineage ROM that has all google features working?
Unclear in this thread so fat to me sorry.

Not possibile. First, it's 64 bit. Second, it needs camera2 api, which is not there. Latest working version (without video support though) is Google Camera 4.1, targeted to Nougat 7.0, 32-bit arm. Latest fully working is version 3.
Any further discussion is pointless. There is nothing we can do to fix that. Just accept the facts.
P.S. newest Google Camera works like a charm on many other devices, on Lineage, like for example LG G5. But G5 is 64-bit and it has (unlike bacon) camera2 api fully implemented. I am able to take photo and record movie (including 4k uhd abd 120 fps slow motion with sound) with latest Google Camera 4 without any problem.
You should not blame Lineage, rather blame Oneplus for ****ty camera hal.

sadly looks like they didn't add slow motion... kinda bs.
installed it and yeah no slow mo but still this could help the dev's to make that happen much easier since now we have a working apk. fingers crossed...
Actually really disappointed from Google...just a simple restyle for old nesuxes without any port of the new functions.
No good.

right. its an app, not something that adds features. since slow mo isnt a n6 feature, it wont be there, but will be there for the n6p as it has that feature.
I've been using the hydrogen os camera from the oneplus forums and slow motion in that camera has been working for my phone.

how can u keep saying that when other phones with the same hardware (their camera), can do slow mo recording at 120fps?
it's definitely not a "feature" problem, it's a choice from google not to add the function just to sell their new phone.

It's the stock camera app for nexus, not just a camera app from Google. Every mobile producer improves stock apps to have better features if the hardware can handle.
Not even burst mode...come on...

It's just hdr automatic. The camera will determine if it needs to use hdr to capture a scene or not. That's all.

I'll be setting the camera to HDR+A and Flash A.
One big advantage von the IPhone 7Plus and the Huawei 9P is the double camera on the backside giving you some functions known from SLRs (e.g. Blur effect in the background).
Google Camera App is offering this by moving the camera during picture, however it is not supported on Oxygen OS (yet). The most recent versions can be installed, but will crash after a second or two...
UPDATED: This is the last version working for Oneplus 3T based on my knowledge...Link below

Hi there!
That's really interesting - actually, I somehow like the Google cam (obviously even an old one) more than the stock oxygen one. What do you guys think? And is there any chance that we get further updates on Google cam?
Cheers!
Just an FYI,
Google camera 4.3.016.... Works great on the new official OP3T 4.1 ROM (7.1.1). The autofocus doesn't seem to have issues like the stock camera.

Thanks for the link! Repped! :highfive:
hi guys, im new here (i just bought my op3t) so i want to know if its posible to have the google camera with all its features ported to a op3/3t i mean the EIS, 240fps slowmotion, HDR+, etc thx
Second this. HDR+ (not HDR) will be amazing.
I use Camera NX. It's a modded apk from the Pixel. You don't get extra features, but you do get the modern UI and it works great for the background blur. Just be sure to grab the download for non-Nexus devices.

yeah I tried that but it doesnt give me nothing more than stock OP camera app. If he could force HDR+ that would be interesting.
the latest apk seems to work fine but there is hardly any noticeable change in quality from stock camera, only the autofocus seems to work better. also the app crashes when i select slow motion tab.
I know the zealous sharpening issue with the stock moto is a post processing problem and has been mention if not rooted no actual fix yet.. Also others have stated open camera didn't take any better pictures... However I'm wondering if certain apps simply rely on the OS post processing and don't have their own built in. As I used Google camera today to take 2 exact pictures. I sat holding my hand in exactly the same position without moving.. Then launched the stock camera and the comparison is a visibly less noisy and softer photo. I will upload the comparison
Attatched photos taken with both cameras. No hdr no settings adjusted same place touched to focus.
i named each file accordingly. but incase you cant see file names.
goes moto google then for st shot google moto
On custom roms, the Google camera is great, but still has a few issues. Sometimes, it only allowed me to take a few photos at one, and then stopped letting me take any. I had to exit out and go back in to fix it. That said, I saw it on the lineage camera and open camera to...
Either way, the big problem in find is other apps using the camera, which seems to either not work or show a very dark image. This affected mostly QR apps in my experience, (2 factor apps, WhatsApp, etc.)

I downloaded the versions listed previously from apkmirror and enabled camera2 in build.prop. There is a Magisk Module for enabling camera2 now as well.
I had no issues with 2.7.008, but 4.1.006 would occasionally fc when switching from camera to video.
persist.camera.HAL3.enabled=1 is the build.prop I used.
Someone please kindly share me the APK of Google Camera for non-rooted Moto G5 Plus. I thought I could also use it in my phone!

Try AOSPA The best for me.
1) add or flash these files below (if not there) (This step is not necessary for ROMs like NitrogenOS)
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3/themes/flashable-zip-google-lens-pixel-2-t3693859
/system/etc/sysconfig/nexus.xml
/system/etc/sysconfig/pixel_2017_exclusive.xml
/system/etc/sysconfig/pixel_2017.xml
2)Install both the modified apks from below link
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=74824785&postcount=1944
Now open Google camera or camera NX and find AR Stickers!
Tested on NitrogenOS 8.0

I played around with it for a bit the other day. The app just crashed when I tried to use AR stickers, but I'm pretty sure it's because I'm still on 7.1. I'll upgrade once Xposed is out for Oreo, we'll see if it'll work then.
