I've got a Galaxy S4 active from at&t and rooted it. One of these days, it updated something and stopped working, saying that it found an unauthorized system software. I tried uploading a diferent operational system but at&t got a lock that doesn't let you update the operational system. Is there any way to fix this problem?
Never rooted or modified Note 3. I upgraded to Kit Kat yesterday. I was sent a few pictures via MMS but cannot download them, it just says failed. This is with the stock messaging program. I click download and it tries to download it but failed again.
Anyone else have this issue?
Update, figured it out. Seems like my data connection was not working. Was not able to browse websites or anything. Switched airplane mode on/off and verified I could browse out. Tried again to download the MMS context and it all started to download just fine.
So I got an AT&T S6 Active this past weekend, which came with android version 5.1.1. While in the store the guy who helped me transferred my contacts over and for some reason it made like 4 copies of each contact. Anyways, I got home that night and figured instead of deleting 1000 contacts i would just do a factory reset via the android system menu. The reset went fine except for the fact that I am now on 5.0.2 instead of 5.1.1 and lost my samsung pay. I have tried to update the software via Kies and Smart Switch, but neither will work. Also, checking for an update via the android system menu says there isn't one available. What gives and how can I get back on 5.1.1?
Sorry to hear that! Have you tried this?

So, to give some perspective my note 5 was working perfectly fine for a few weeks until out of nowhere i started getting this "Google Services have stopped" message every 30 minutes or so . I noticed that i wasnt getting any notifications either until i restarted my phone. So i decided to install a new clean room without all of the samsung bloatware. But i wanted to make a backup using smart switch so to my surprise as soon i plugged my phone in it allowed me to download the 6.0 marshmallow update and it worked fine...except the google services message + notification problem was still there . So
I went in fine and installed the clockwork recovery but of course, after this was done my phone would get stuck on the samsung logo forever, Since i dident even had a chance to copy the rom, i had to go all the way back. Download a stock firmware and flash that trough odin.. finally my phone was working again but now it wouldnt let me update trough smart switch ( says im on the latest version alredy )
The firmware i used is this

Since updating to that firmware i also noticed that my perfomance and battery life is much worse, As well on the download mode i have the Knox flag as 1, i dont know if this has any impact on the smart switch software
Basically i just want to go back to the marshmallow update that i got trough smart switch since it also included the spanish language pack that i really need
I downgraded to Lollipop from Marshmallow a few months back, and everything worked fine. After I downgraded though, I forgot to switch off auto update! and my phone automatically put Marshmallow back on. Now a few months down the line (and a few Marshmallow updates) when I downgrade to Lollipop via Odin, the phone will simply not detect my SIM card. I should point out that the only reason I want Lollipop back on my phone is that it works with my VW car Sat nav via rSAP connection, after the phone is rooted of course. Marshmallow will not connect even after rooting.
I thought it would be a breeze to just get rid of Marshmallow, go back to Lollipop, connect via rSAP and all would be rosie... no such luck! If anyone could help, it would be much appreciated. My hunch is that Samsung have done something with their latest update on Marshmallow to prevent downgrading, and rSAP connections!
