CHE2-L11 ROOT - can't apply themes - Honor 4x Questions & Answers

Hi!
I can't apply themes to my rooted phone. Anyone have solution for this problem?
Maybe something like this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-8/general/solve-apply-themes-downloaded-t3318265 ?

Hey! I had the same problem. I fixed it with root browser. I moved theme which i wanted apply to root directory /system/themes and changed permissions in proporties. I checked all r and first w and i could apply this theme. Be sure that you removed other copy of this theme. You can remove it in themes manager.

That works but only partially, because didnt change view in contacts, messages, icons etc. So changed only icons of catalogs. Without root it was changed.
What should i do?

u mean change only icons ? if thats the case , then u need a theme manager to change the theme. some themes change only icons, some change everything. but the icon set is inside a theme. themes support specific launchers. so its possible that ur favorite launcher doesnt support ur favorite theme ( for the icons ). the other way around is to use a root explorer and change every little icon manually inside apks.

Better yet, you can make your own theme. Go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=44609532
You can get everything you need to know about making your own theme there.
BTW, thanks for searching the Forum/Web first, because some people just don't.
Good luck

the stock one is LGHome3.apk.
since u use an alternative launcher look for it in data/app. apps u install go there. in system/app are the system apps that have root access.
well I found it as u said, it's LGHome3.apk.
used ninjamorfh, exchanged the icons, finished my project and wooow: I soft brick my phone
the launcher disappeared and after reset it was stuck in the logo.
so after about 4-5 nervous hours of pushing apk thru adb, recovery, software reset, wiping it all , download rom, flash stock rom with kdz,
restore my 120 apps, restoring backup files, I was able to bring my 4x back to life as it was before.
so conclusion :
some things don't worth to **** with  LOL
if u want to change ur app drawer icon don't be hard headed like me, create a theme or install a launcher that can do it.
anyway,
anyone that helped me in this thread .....thanks

i guess there is a reason why there is no app that can change manually the app drawer icon, It could get messy.
I used ninjamorph app (root app), it should decompile/recompile the apk automatically.

if it is only for icon , u can just treat the apk as if it was a zip. just open it with the zip manager and force the icon to replace the one u want.

[Q] Mini View on G4?

<bool name="config_systemui_feature_one_hand_operation_m iniview">true</bool>
<bool name="config_systemui_feature_one_hand_operation_s wipe_key">true</bool>
Do I miss any steps?

Ok, download my files at:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3qWyeW6whCwM01IWHVua0pCZ2c/view?usp=sharing
Then extract the files you will have the Taction folder, take it into the priv-app and set permission.
Then in Taction lib folder, copy the libdecryptKey.so, set permission and paste into the system/lib folder.
Done.
If you want have the stock theme but also have the miniview, I can share my modded LGSystemUI.apk

Did you copy the lib in Taction and paste into system/lib?
1. Copy my TAction and put into system/priv-app: T-Action folder has lib folder and TAction.apk. In lib folder has arm folder, in arm folder has libdecryptKey.so. Set permission for all.
2. Then copy file libdecryptKey.so, set permission and put into system/lib: libdecryptKey.so. Reboot
Next time I will make the flashable zip. It is very difficult to do, right?

Adding a custom system font

Hello everyone,
I have a little task. I want to change my system font. I'm on OOS 4.0.3 rooted. Every single app that says it does it only allows me to choose from their font selection. But I have a custom TTF font I'd like to use.
Is there any solution to get this working?
You could just mod the app & insert your font? Quickest way would be to get the font apk on your computer, change the last bit from (.apk) to (.zip), unzip & swap the font package but inserting yours, then resign the apk with a resigning app from the playstore, then install the app & pick the font name you swapped! Or you could go poking though your system files from a file manger app & just paste straight over the top then reboot. But to be honest the first way would probably be safer. But make sure before you start have a Recovery Backup ready just in case

Changing status bar text/icon colors?

Is there any way to do this without root? The gray color makes it hard to see the icons at a glance.
I'd much prefer white.

Custom Themes testing

hello I'm envy.. just asking if anyone here who got their S10 already and willing to try to install my theme and confirm if it shows on the Theme Store?
You need the xdaLabs app to download my theme.
just open your theme store first and leave it running on the background, then click this link
download it and install, then go back to theme store and see if its there.
should look like this: see attachment.
this will help me confirm if we got future for custom theming on S10 thank you very much.

this is the correct method:
If it gets installed already says xdalabs click the uninstall button from theme app page on xdalabs.
Instructions:
-Open your samsung theme store and leave it running on the background (to not clear on recent menu)
-Open the theme link with Xdalabs app and download theme
-Install the theme and click done
-comeback to Samsung theme store by Settings app (themes and wallpaper option) and see if the theme is there
No need reboot
*if its really not there after doing these, this is sad.
