Is there any way to do this without root? The gray color makes it hard to see the icons at a glance.
I'd much prefer white.

Or you can install the Gpix theme from playstore

2)Make sure you have internet access
3)Open it (duh...)
4)Hit install and restart ur phone
5)Go to the themes app and go to the me section and select android p

Hello,
I have successfully removed rosie.apk and now i have a "stock" 1.5 cupcake.
Is there a way to change the top bar from "black" color to original Android Cupcake "white" ?
I have done the same and have been looking for this also.
I can do it for sure. You guys want to keep all the HTC icons and make the bar grey like the original android ?
I would pay money for this. The white one is much more visually appealing than the plain black one. Could someone please make this on the sprint and regular hero.

I looked into this and have all the icons in the apk's set but I can't get the White text to turn Black. I'm pretty sure it's in the services.jar file, but it's a DEX file which isn't the easiest file format to work with right now (trying right now to work with SMALI).

Also, I want to upload it as "Topaz" (the yellow gemstone and the official Sony themes are named after gemstones) to share it. Where should I post it, as it's a "stock" theme

Rename the theme as Topaz in the strings.xml and AndroidManifest.xml as described in my guide.
Post it in the themes section in here or in the general android theme section, but beware, it'll get swamped in that section.

Your theme didnt compile?
The theme didnt install?
Your phone grew legs and ran away with the spoon?
The neighbors cat beat the dog in an arm wrestling match?
The chocolate teapot melted when you tried to boil it?
All of the above?

It installed. But I cannot see the theme anyway.
Also, the new version automatically signs System APKs. So I skipped these steps

I guess Dully is talking about installing the theme as system app on phone.copy to sytem/app with root explorer and set permissions
