I have CyanogenMod 7.2 on my phone with CronMod memory mod. My internal memory shows that I still have 456 MB of space from my 758 MB ext4 partition. Yet phone show info that I have low storage space. Why?
Which script did you use?
CronMod-INT2EXT4+

That's really weird. It's not supposed to happen. Though I have had some issues like that, it's because you know some parts of the app stay in the internal memory of the phone, they have to be manually moved to the SD over time. Since it's a really small amount of storage that that part of the app takes, it really shouldn't be a problem. But since you have a lot of them installed, you're gonna have to manually move the apps to the SD.
Use Titanium Backup and batch move the heaviest apps you have to the SD and it'll work normally.

are you sure your EXT partition is EXT4? Make sure cuz CWM formats the EXT partition to EXT 3.
Try Cronmod Int2ext+
I am sure

Just use the normal INT2EXT+ with the CWM made partition.

I heard that for every use of 500mb of external memory we need 100mb internal memory as it store some files every time we install a app...

Sorry, I'm just having no luck getting the fixed IN2EXT4+ to work on an international galaxy ace. the script creates a file in the init.d folder, as opposed to the unfixed version, but it still doesn't mount or recognise the ext partition on the SD card. I've followed your guides very closely, I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong...
after each attempt, i start from scratch (clean ROM install), and yet I keep failing ;/
I partition using CWM recovery 5, so does that create an ext4 partition or 3/lower?
Thanks for your time

Will do. Sorry to be a bother.
So I recently flashed Pac Man for my Vivid. I also flashed the gall-jb. I have a couple of questions.
1. Does it matter which version of gapps I use? Obv you want the most recent one, but will having an older one make you not be able to access your internal storage?
2. If it is the way I flashed my ROM would you suggest flashing it again or first flashing an ICS and then reflashing a JB ROM?
As always feedback is appreciated.

No - you need the 4.1.2 Gapps from October, any other version won't work properly.
More than likely it's your recovery. Are you now or have you previously used CWM recovery? If so, you need to get a new recovery (WCX or TWRP), boot to that recovery, connect to your computer, attempt to mount internal storage to your computer. Your computer should prompt you that your storage is corrupt and needs formatted. Format it. Then flash the ROM

This is the gapps I just downloaded, I was going to try it out.
gapps-jb-20121011-signed I think this is the one you are talking about...
So I have had cwm, but needless to say, I hate it since it sucks!! hahaha..I switched and now have WCX.
So I boot into recovery, while in recovery I connect to my PC. From there I essentially follow the prompts (it will prolly tell me my storage is corrupt and needs formatting.
Format my storage and then flash my rom?
When I format my storage will I lose my data on my SD card? This is where my ROM is. Should I remove the SD card?
Sounds like a simple fix if all goes well and Murphy's law doesn't take effect.

No. If you're having trouble with internal storage, that's what needs formatted. If the ROM is on your external SD, it won't be touched. If the ROM is on internal storage, you still have to format it. Once it's formatted, put the rom back on storage

Your help is appreciated.
External SD Card is FAT, not FAT 32, does that matter at all? I am still able to get to the files using root explorer.
BTW, the format did not work. ugh.
You did use the mount USB storage in wcx no?

Initially it was saying there was not an external storage available to take pics and what not. In my not so genius thinking I didn't put two and two together and think that was not possible. I formatted the internal which is what was wrong. I can now access the external as well. Both mount perfectly

Yes. The camera on PAC and other AOSP roms saves to internal storage, but refers to it as external storage because it's not /system storage. Glad it's sorted.

if you upgraded from a 4.1.2 rom to a 4.2.2+ rom, then the file structure changed
check the following folders, using a root-enabled explorer
/data/media/ and /data/media/0/
all files in /data/media (with exception of folders 0, legacy, and obb) should be moved to /data/media/0
check this from earlier today: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2479438
and use search, it's been covered many times.

Which rom you're currently using?
However, it's strange that there is 16 GB used in other.
A data wipe, maybe, can fix this, but you will lose your sd card and some data of the rom

Hi,
On the first screens, i've no free space on the phone storage and i've about 3 or 4 apps that need just less than 1gb... What does mean the 4.31gb "other" ?
What can i do to fix that ?
As you can see, part of my application disapeared because of the way in the storage changed...
For example, when i take a picture it's located in storage/emulated/0/picture/screenshot and before it was simply picture/screenshot.
I tried to do a factory reset but nothing change after that...
Thanks in advance

It seems like you have just under 1GB of free space on phone storage.

10:33:35 PM Customer Corey
Ok. Thank you very much that is all I needed to know.
It seems like there is nothing you can do to fix that.
Your applications disappeared because you moved them to the sdcard, but something else also happened or you just need to restart your phone so they will reappear. If you remove your sdcard after moving them to the sdcard, they can appear greyed out like that. There can also be a problem with your sdcard and that is why your apps appear like that and your pictures save on your phone.
Try to change your Primary storage by going into Settings-Storage-Primary storage and set it to Automatic switching. You may have to restart your phone.
I really think there is a problem with your sdcard, ranging from a minor problem all the way up to it is not working anymore.

First, thanks for your answer !
I know there were a part of "other" but this part was not more than about 2 gb before. I don't think the problem is my sd card cause the application i showed you on the screenshot are the only one i did not move ... For example, i had Hearthstone moved and it steel on my sd card.
The picrture was just an example, all my memory moved to emulated/0
And the same for settings/storage/primary is the same than ever
When i plugged my phone with usb to my computer, the internal storage were about 7.60 gb,... And look what i can see now
I can't download what i want with that...
All of that happen when i followed a tutorial to upgrade RAM with ROEHSOFT. I was needing to partition my EXTERNAL storage, what i did. I make a swap part about 3gb and the rest for the storage in fat32. After the partition, i had my 2 part but my internal storage change like what you see on these pictures. I think partition is now in my internal storage & that why the default internal storage way changed... But i have no idea to fix it... Can't use backup, can't part internal storage again, can't factory reset cause it has no effect after reboot...

I think you should delete the apps that are showing that they were on your sdcard then try to reinstall them. They should be in Settings-Apps.
I just looked up the ROEHSOFT RAM Expander (SWAP) app. I have never heard of this app before, but it had this as a note:
Note: only FAT32 Drives can be used for Swap. When you are using a Partition then use fat32 format or swap otherwise it will not be visible in the Drivelist!
It may not be working right because you need to use a FAT32 partition for the SWAP/RAM. If needed you can use Aparted to format the sdcard then use ROEHSOFT again to create SWAP. I found this tutorial. Is this how you did it or something different?

Oh, ok, I didn't know that CWM was available for the 64-bit version. Thanks for that info.
As far as I know our ROMs are KitKat based, which only supports 32-bit devices. It will be good when Lollipop hits our devices as it supports 64-bit devices, but I'm not so sure if the ROMs that were built for 32-bit devices will work for a 64-bit device. You would have to ask the respective developers of those ROMs. My guess is no.
