I'm thinking of buying this phone from a seller in Singapore. The 3T sold in Asia (apart from China) appear to be the same model number as those sold in the UK. Does that mean if I buy the 3003 3T from Singapore it will work on all networks here? Thanks!

What a question..
It doesn't matter from where are you buying it.
It only matters to support EU bands.
3003 is the correct model for EU.

Thanks for the answer! It just seems odd that they'd make it this way, I don't know of any other company that would allow for this, especially since it'd just encourage importing.

Well, since this phone isn't sold like most other phones in local stores, instead it's sold directly from the design-company. Especially now when OnePlus has stopped selling them, now we have to buy directly from the producers (Aliexpress) or from stockpilers/resellers on Ebay. So yeah, this is an import phone either way and, ao it's up to us buyers to choose the direct band-locked modell.
Also, there's actually no physical difference in the models which is important to know. Only in software which locks which bands that it will connect to.

First of all, just press the thank button. No reason to thank through posts.
Secondly, all of Chinese phones are being sold through 3rd online resellers like Banggood, geekbuying, gearbest etc. It's not only for oneplus phones.

I've been using a Chinese variant of the 3T in Sri Lanka for almost 6 months mate. You're good to go.

Biggest difference is the network bands that are being used.
The 03 seems to be for EU/America's and the 33 seems to be for Asia.
Don't quote me on it tho.

Yup, I would have bought one in a heartbeat. Doesn't seem that dual sim is that popular in the US, but I'd use it to keep work and personal line on the same phone.

It's not that it won't work
It's just that some Asian bands aren't supported by the 03 version.

Hello, so I'm interested in buying the Z3C from Clove, the D5803 model and I"m from India.
I've read that the only problem will be that I won't be able to use 4G.
So otherwise everything will work on Indian networks? Internet, calling, 3G??
Thanks for your help!
http://dl-developer.sonymobile.com/documentation/whitepapers/Xperia_Z3_Compact_D5803_D5833_WP_1.pdf
Apparently the difference is in the 3g and 4g Bands.
Also the D5833 is the only one to have TD-LTE which is popular in Asia (According to wikipedia) So i'm guessing 5833 is the asian model and the other is the "rest of the world" model.

Thanks. Yeah, I read something about that.
I'm just wondering if I can use that model in Asia. Cause that's the only model available in Clove and that site has lowest price by far compared to any other online store. So I was just wondering if I could use the D5833 model in Asia.

If you are buying fro Clove because of the price difference please be aware that in most likelihood you will have to pay customs duty which will pretty much match up the price you will pay for it in India. I bought the D5833 model with the Indian LTE band from USA. My friend bought it for me and is now in Kerala. Waiting for him to courier it to me.

Alright, thanks for the warning. Although I checked using the duty calculator they provide and it says I have to pay around 4,000 to customs. That still makes it a lot lower than the Indian retail price. Although I'm not 100% sure it's accurate

I agree. However, given that the phone is already selling in india at a much higher rate and if the customs guys have any idea about its selling price in India, I would think that they would tax it to equate your invoice with the selling price in India. I'm not certain on this though. But there is indeed a chance. This is not discourage you. The phone is now available from ebay.in for 39990 with full sony india warranty.

True. I'll probably wait a few more months for the price to drop.

This will serve as a support and discussion thread for us Filipinos.
But first, we all know how difficult it is to get a OnePlus 3 directly from OnePlus- what, with the shipping, customs, and all. So hopefully others will share how they got theirs in the Phils.

I owned and used different smartphone brands, and now planning to try OnePlus. I hope It won't disappoint me once I decided to get it. About the phone, because some resellers is selling the China Variant with the flashed O2 OS, does the ROM can get OTA?
Hello Kabayan's!
Planning to get one also. Maybe next month. :fingers-crossed:
OH,dear. You can buy it from oneplus official site directly or other retail online shop.
But I think oneplus official site cheaper than other shop
This was what I was going to do before I bought a Nexus 6P.
Buy directly from the Oneplus website. They now accept all major credit cards wherever it was issued. With an option for a separate billing and shipping address, the Philippines is now listed under Country. I was planning to send it to JAC Plus, they are my private forwarder of choice. I've used them before to ship my Moto X, no issues and was charged for Php 800+ to ship the phone to the Philippines.
I checked their website and philippines is not on the list.
You can buy it from widget city philippines, but sadly they don't have accessories yet for it
@reyscott if you don't mind me pinging you, if you are considering an OP3 you should check this out

You all misunderstood me. It does not ship directly here yes. I did not say otherwise. I said that the Philippines is available under Country in Billing information if you choose to pay by card. You couldn't do that before because their only payment option was Paypal US which requires a US issued card. Now that credit cards are accepted you can separate your shipping and billing info to get around US only items. As long as your credit card is internationally accepted, you won't have any issues.
And I did say I was going to use JAC Plus, yes? Whatever reason would I use them other than to ship the item to me here?
Let's try again -
1. Order from the website directly using a US address for Shipping.
2. Choose to pay by card.
3. Un-tick the option that says billing is same with shipping. Input your real address.
4. Place order, you will be redirected to the payment portal site. Input your card info and pay.
I prefer or recommend to get the China variant since all bands is available for Philippines telco and 4G LTE network.
Anyone could help me how to buy from China OnePlus and ship to Philippines?

Hi
Visiting las vegas in a few weeks and considering buying a Note 8. I can order off Amazon.com (I have a US account) and thinking of getting shipped to a locker. Will be $798 for unlocked international version. 64gb version in black.
Or is there a cheaper alternate? I know if I buy instore I have to pay the local tax, but dont think I do if I order via Amazon as just checked before pressing the complete button and its Nil tax.
Any advice appreciated.
where are you travelling from?
US version is snapdragon and if you want root the exynos is the better option
I think it is wiser to get a device in your home country, in case of needing to claim warranty, it would be infinitely easier for you, besides, in USA only the little 64 gb snapdragon version is available, if you are interested about avoiding taxes, be aware that those taxes you would pay in your country at an official distribuitor will give peace of mind and warranty
Version listed is SM-N950F/DS* which is the one in Europe on Amazon in USA which is not Snapdragon I gather.

yes that is Europe exynos dual sim model, have one here myself, if you bought in Europe you would have the 24 months warranty once registered with Samsung
Mine 600€ f version
I am in the UK and am considering getting a dual sim (the L29 variant) of the Huawei P20 Pro.
Do you know of any store that sells the dual sim version (sim-free, unlocked), and that would ship to the UK? A reputable foreign store that would ship to the UK would be OK, too (but if from outside the EU, I must make sure that VAT and custom duties don't end up costing too much).
The only UK online store I have found is www.clove.co.uk , which is out of stock at the moment.
I understand Three UK sells the dual sim, but the Three signal is too unreliable where I live.
EE, Vodafone and Carphone Warehouse don’t sell the dual sim (I asked their chat tech support).
I have found some supposedly UK-based vendors in the UK, that sell at £690 vs Clove’s £790. It seems like a good price, but maybe too good to be true? I’d think a reputable store would give me more peace of mind.
Amazon UK lists two external vendors which sell at the same price as clove, but some user reviews mention the box was opened and the phone covered in fingerprints (used phone? Customs inspection? A return?).
Thanks!
I bought mine from Amazon France. Got fed up of looking for it in the UK
Wondamobile. Com
Thank you, guys.
@qwerty1q, have you tried wondamobile? Does the price really include VAT and custom fees, as they say? You don't think buying from a UK store like clove is worth the extra £100 or so?
@dreamWille, do you remember if you bought it directly from Amazon France or from a third-party vendor listed there? Searching Amazon France now, I get a vendor that has an address listed in Spain.
Thank you, guys.

Check all the Amazon sites (Germany, Spain's, France etc)

Don't hijack other people's discussions. Asking a question by opening a separate thread would be better. Also bear in mind you're more likely to hear pro-Huawei opinions on Huawei forums, and pro-Samsung opinion on Samsung forums, because, clearly, each forum will be more populated by people who have chosen that brand

Common sense, as well as explicit rules in most forums, suggest it is frowned upon to hijack discussions and bring them off topic. If this is not true of XDA, I apologise because I didn't know. I still dare question, however, what the benefit is of reading a discussion about where to buy an item to then find messages about how that item compares with another one.
Think you'd be lucky from a contract perspective.
SIM free maybe.
Try uSwitch they've got some nuts deals.
Or just buy my Oneplus 5 off me
I'm planning to buy the SD 888 version but unfortunately it's not sold in europe.
I've heard of many people who import the phone from HK, China or US. But I can't find the right websites.
Can anyone help me with that? Maybe a tip for cheap sites or something would be so nice

Are you joking now? WondaMobile prices are less than what you have in your country of living! Also, the version you should go for is Hong Kong or Taiwan! The chinese one has no Google services for you.
If you don't like to deal with Wonda .. check out https://eu.etoren.com/
But i recommend Wonda because they have better service.
Another thing, why you are looking for Snapdragon variant? I had that (bought from Wonda) for about 3 months but i sold it and got the Exynos that is sold in Europe, i find the battery life a little better with Exynos than Snapdragon. The performance is the same, i felt that Exynos has more power sometimes than Snapdragon.
Don't forget that you get only 1 year warranty (it's not valid within Europe) when you buy any Snapdragon version, you need to return the phone to the store you bought it from and they fix it by themselves which means they don't send it further to Samsung workshop ... you have to pay for the shipment almost 50 USD... But with Exynos, you have 2 years warranty within EU and you don't need to ship it anywhere, just look for Samsung Workshop that is close to you and drop it off there.
A last thing also, you have to accept that some features may not work well if you import your phone from these asian countries or even from America. The same with the 3G/4G/5G networks, especially 5G, it is not supporting more than one band in Europe, so you will have to live with that if you want to go for Snapdragon variant.
