Yes, I have had the exact same problem for a few weeks now. I have tried many things to try to clear the issue with no success. Help!

BAD ASS NOTE 4
Note 5 had quick note with an option to pin to Home screen..
Note 8 is different..
I installed s note app, but it doesn't have the feature of quick note.
And if I use the original app that comes with the phone, Samsung notes, I need to save the note, go to Samsung notes, and only then I can pin to home screen.
Is there a faster way?
Or maybe there's a third party app that does this (with the pen of course)?
Thanks in advance

You can get action memo back. There are a few video's on YouTube that will help you get that.
I just bought the Note 8 coming off the Note 4 and absolutely love it. But I had a nearly 2.5 hr meeting/brainstorming session at work today with my team and wrote prolifically. Near the end I got text or a call or something and navigated away from the Samsung Notes app and forgot about it for while. When I went back to check it a few hours later, it was no where to be found.
I used the S Note app with Note 4 extensively and it always autosaved whatever I wrote, but all I can find now is the single memo I took from yesterday's meeting. I've tried the My Files app, but that thing seems quite worthless and I found nothing anyway. Is it possible it's still playing hide-and-go-seek with me somewhere? How can I find it?
long in to your samsung account and open Samsung Notes and hit the three dots on top right and go to settings. Then tap on sync with samsung account.
Thanks for the suggestion, but had already tried that and only managed to deepen my despair. So, does the Samsung Notes (which I assume is just the new S Note with a few new tricks?)not automatically save the memoranduming as it did on my Note 4?
Ask Bixby.
Bixby knows where your notes are.
If only Pepperidge Farms had an app for the Note 8. They'd remember what happened to my note and everything that was in it as well.

Don't know if this was meant to be sarcastic , but that is my goto for finding stuff... Bixby , for me at least, can find all sorts of files and settings on the phone.

Since my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 N910C had been starting to develop issues, while I am in Hong Kong. Which was probably due to the latest OS updates. Or it could be due to the fact that my N910C doesn't support the use of LTE-A bands, which HK Cell Providers are starting to adopt. I decided to upgrade to the Note 8. I managed to find the Korean N950N model with 256GB of internal storage for an excellent price. The only catch was that they only had it in Deep Sea Blue and they didn't know when they would get the Midnight Black version back in stock. I bite the bullet and got it. The shop owner was nice enough to give me a slight discount. He also installed a case friendly screen protector that didn't work very well with the Spigen Tough Armor. It is not too much of a problem. Just that the part that protects the sensors pop loose from time to time. I am amaze at how fast the Note 8 running, it can handle anything I throw it's way like it was nothing. The placement of the fingerprint scanner isn't as bad as I thought it would be. The iris scanner is pretty good when I have my Note 8 positioned properly. I was able to transfer everything(except my UK Whatsapp account) from my N910C to my N950N using Smartswitch , which was incredible. The Secure Folder is useful for storing my personal files and apps, I managed to put my UK Whatsapp number in there.
The only downside is that some of the old S Note features are now gone! I can no longer take a picture and have it converted into an editable document like in my N910C. Which was a very useful feature, I guess that Samsung must have removed it.
You can install the old S Note app, search for it
Hello,

With WhatsApp, I periodically back it up to Google account. Then use smartswitch which works good.

Sorry for being unclear, but I meant the price of the note 8 256gb in Korea?

I paid HK$5699 for my N950N, which converts to GB£518. Which is a steal! As the 256gb UK model of the Note 8 cost around £900

Tried it. But even that doesn't have the photo note function. Which is strange as the S Note app on my N910C has been updated to the latest version, and it still has the photo note function.
After installing the Oreo update. I noticed that one of my games Texas Hold'em Poker 3 no longer takes up the full screen when it loads. Even if I have the game set to fit the entire screen. Other than that everything looks the same. Except the Settings Menu has been brought up to the S9S series GUI. There maybe some performance increase but I didn't notice any.
Still rocking my N950N. Even after the release of the N960N. My N950N is still a beast. The camera quality is excellent despite being a single aperture lens.
Just installed the Android Pie update for my N950N. I have noticed that when my device boots up it takes a few seconds longer for the keyboard to appear for me to enter my password. Besides that everythings seems pretty snappy. I am not fond of the One UI. I prefer Samsung UI, which came with Nougat and Oreo. One UI seems way too cartoony. The buttons and icons for all the Samsung apps seem to be designed with kids in mind. I like that you can just use swipe gestures to navigate the device, which eliminates the need for navigation buttons.
I have also discovered that the game launcher doesn't include the stretch to full screen option anymore, which is a shame as that worked fir stretching games to full the display very well. Figured out how to fix this problem in the Settings Menu.
Just discovered that you can no longer disable Bixby once you have installed the Pie update onto the Note 8. :crying::crying:

But you can now remap the button to any app you want.
Now there is a option for a single press and a double press.
Just got the Bixby update.
edit.
Know I have Google search open up when I single press instead of Bixby and if I want Bixby double press.
But holding down the Bixby button will bring up Bixby voice command.
Have you tried a third party app to disable it?

I found out about that. But I want to disable that button completely as I probably won't ever use it. I might try a 3rd party app
Anyone noticed bixby voice password feature is missing? On oreo if the phone is locked, u can use bixby to do something, and unlock phone via voice password. Now it'll just ask u to enter pin or pattern

Go to Bixby voice settings and tap on voice wake up. It's there, look at my previous post with screenshots you can set the option.
If not there update Bixby.
Now the feature does it like Google style with voice unlock. Meaning it just unlocks when you say "Hi Bixby" without asking you for a voice password.

No it doesn't. Yes Bixby will function when you say hi Bixby.. but when tiu ask it to do something, like close all apps, it will prompt you to enter your pattern or whatever you set to unlock the screen

Make sure you update Bixby. I just tried that command close all apps and it worked without asking for password.
This the version of Bixby I'm on.

Most important is the clipboard
"Other keyboard like Gboard and swiftkey has that feature"
Yes I know, but the samsung keyboard have the clipboard that I can access even when i'm typing (I need this feature), on Gboard and Swiftkey, I can't access the clipboard when I'm typing (only can access when I'm not typing anything).
I can access the clipboard while typing no problem on SwiftKey
Try googling the APK online
agree with u Sam. KB the best ever i still looking for it
I kind of miss my old samsung keyboard too. Coming from the old tab s2. I miss the ctrl a and ctrl v shortcut.
I am pretty certain I tried to get this over the summer with either this phone or my pixel 3 and if I remember correctly I spent about a day on it and looked like I needed the samsung framework and could not get it to work unfortunately.....
