Hi guys sorry you're having problems do you happen to know what rom you're currently using? I'd recommend updating to the latest Lineage 11 Kitkat build by Milaq since you're having problems with an older CM rom. Do a clean install with the full guide, just stop once you've got Kitkat installed. Or just grab the recommend files if you're an experienced flashaholic. Either way a clean install will clean up most issues.
[ROM GUIDE] How to Install Android 7.1.x Nougat builds on the HP TouchPad
Download Android 4.4.4 Kitkat install files(Rom, Recovery, Gapps):
Rom:Download the latest Lineage11 build
Recovery:TWRP-jcs-dm-tenderloin-20140612b.zip
Gapps:gapps-base-arm-4.4.4-20170902-1-signed.zip
Thanks

Hi there guys,
Just want to know if someone else experienced this,
While powering off or rebooting the system the kit kat 4.2.x just takes forever on the loading screen and the only way to fix it is to remove the battery.
Thoughts?

Which build do you have installed? This bug has been resolved already. I would suggest to install the latest update from maclaw.pl
Kitkat is not 4.2.x but 4.4.x

Pardon,
I meant to say 4.4.x, which is the one I installed. Got it from Maclaw's page.
This night I had an unpleasant surprise as it shut down in the middle of the night, even connected to the plug. I ended up showing late for work haha
Nevertheless I installed the latest pac man rom and I believe I will stick to it.
Thanks for the attention.
Did you try clean install? I have never had that issue.
Hello,
Just few hours ago I just installed Paranoid Android in newest version from this link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2427494
and after a while I realized that the tethering is not working. Does anyone have solution for that problem? I would really appreciate your help.

I recently upgraded by Touchpad with the latest jcsullins build cm-11-20140625-SNAPSHOT-jcsullins-tenderloin.zip. But for this it seems the Camera is not working. There is any way to fix this or can i have the most stable build for the Touchpad.
Other than Camera i can see it working pretty smoothly.
Since this is a rather new build, maybe you should just follow the forum on it to see what others are experiencing and see if they have the
same issue or a fix. I understand this is KitKat 4.4.4...what gapps did you use?

I used the gapps version gapps-kk-20140606-signed.zip. Can i know whether in the earlier Kitkat build the Camera stuff is working?
I'm using the same ROM and the pa_gapps-modular-mini-4.4.2 Paranoid Android Gapps gapps as linked to in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2712680 Just tried a quick picture and it was fine. In case it makes a difference I dirty flashed this ROM over his previous Kitkat ROM, wiping cahces afterwards.
my 2012 khd7 is running 7.5.1 currently and it already constantly crashes immediately after i factoryreset it. i cant imagine loading anything else. i am interested in lp 5 but would load 4.x if it performs more stable.
thanks!

Right now the most stable is CM11 and Beanstalk for KitKat,and CM12 and LiquidSmooth for Lollipop. But LP still has bugs but it runs better than KK for its ART runtime.
thx. when you say lp runs 'better' do you mean faster or just more stable? i cant decide what to go with... i'll test it with cm11

Hello, if you would like to get a custom ROM, you have to downgrade and download twrp recovery to access that. Also, can your device be recognized over adb? If it can, then make a Google search "freedom boot IMG. 7.5.1 and press on the webpage akauntu.blogspot and follow his tutorial. Also currently there are no official cm12 lollipop roms, so just download and flash a cm11 snapshot and gapps from the links on the website. I'm currently running cm11 m12, the latest update, and it runs quite smooth (a lot faster than 7.5.1 please tell me if everything went well! Oh, and remember before flashing, make a factory reset
excellent. that was the response i was looking for. thank you! i dont have time yet... but when i do... i'll sit down and iron through it.
at the very least, it ought to get rid of the bloatware that comes with amazon eco systems.

Currently running CM12 but can't find ART in dev options. I found it in CM11. Is it not supported?
*never mind. I guess it runs art and there is no dalvik. That's disappointing. Thought it might've helped with lp stability on kfhd.

1. Root
2. Install TWRP or CWM
3. Wipe and install a new ROM (Just check here, there are plenty available)
