Touchscreen stops responding on calls - Xperia Z1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi
I've replaced the touchscreen and display of Xperia Z1 last week and since that i'm getting a big problem. The touchscreen works perfect in every apps but when i try to make a call, the touchscreen stops responding right after i press the dial button. If it is an incoming call, i can't answer because it freezes when it starts ringing. After that the only solution is restart with power button + Volume Up.
I don't understand why the touchscreen (not the phone) stop working only on calls...
Already tried recovery with Companion program but it happens the same.
Any ideias to fix this?
Thanks

[Q] Problem after updating to Froyo!!!

I just updated to official Froyo & I see that while somebody calls, pressing the volume buttons would not mute the ring like in Eclair!
Is it the same in all Froyo builds? Anyway to get that little option back?
Confirmed. i noticed the same problem too. i used this "feature" often to prevent distraction by an incoming call while having a discussion.
Another problem is the lag in switching orientation. Sometimes it didn't even detect a change in the phone's orientation. You have to sometimes give the phone a few jerks to get the switch going. I wonder if this due to the update or coincidentally the accelerometer gone faulty after the update.
Any help or hint to fix these will be appreciated.
Any help guys?
For me it works if you keep the vol button pressed for 1-2 sec
You are right buddy! It works if we hold it but not if press it once!!!

Click to collapse
I don't have Froyo yet, but I read on another forum that if you press the power button when you receive the call, it will mute the sound. A new feature.

Cant unlock while incoming call

Since i installed CM9 nightly, occasionally i cant swipe pickup/unlock while incoming call.
Screen lights up, all the icons are there, but frozen until incoming call ends...
Phone has been wiped multiple times after CM9 upgrade...
Any ideas what's happening ?
yup its known bug and for me locking and then unlocking screen at the moment of incoming call does the trick
Screen off and on does the trick
yes pressing the power button which turns the screen off, then turning it back on makes the button respond again.
Good luck

Proximity sensor problem

During a call, the screen randomly turns on and so the call gets notoriously disconnected because End Call button is getting pressed with a cheek or hair or whatever.
Is there some way to either fix it, or just disable it so the screen remains off during a call, unless Home button is pressed?
I tried several roms and it's always the same.

Switching to Loudspeaker issue

Sometimes when I'm in a call and talking in the earpiece i find my phone activated the loudspeaker automatically! at first i thought i touched the load speaker button by mistake but it repeated few times now and when i checked the button if found it is not pressed so i have to press it 2 times,
first press to activate the button and the other one to deactivate button and loudspeaker!!
Anyone face the same problem?
I'm on firmware .67

Question Screen Turns OFF on Video Call (Viber)

Hello,
Just wondering if you guys have the same problem.
Phone is updated on 12.5.8.
Just bought for my wife last week
The app we are having trouble with is Viber during Video Calls. Whenever she video calls someone, while it is ringing, the screen turns OFF. Nothing happens even if she double taps the screen or presses the power button. After a few rings and presses on the power button, the screen will turn ON and everything seems back to normal.
I tried video calling via FB messenger and I am not encountering the same issue.
I tried to test the proximity sensor using Viber call and phone call and it is responding well but not 100%. Sometimes when I put in on my ears, the screen doesn't turn OFF. Most of the time, it does.
I also tested via the CIT (Secret Menu in the About Phone>Kernel Version), the result was mixed. If I just put my hand over the sensor, it does not turn to 0.0. It only goes to 0.0 if I put the phone down facing the table and then goes back to 5.0 when I pick it up.
I tried clearing cache, data, uninstalled, reboot then installed viber but the issue still exist.
Here is a video link of the issue I am talking about

Do any of you face the same issue? TIA!
