Do anyone know how to turn off the dialogue that is displayed whenever I try to receive a file over Bluetooth (OPP)? It always asks me if I want to receive the file. Nexus 5x and Nexus 6 are able to receive in the background but not Galaxy S6. Thanks.

Hi, My phone is stock and on the Tmobile network with default settings. My wife has a Samsung Note 4, whenever she sends a screen shot, my phone always tell me that the message is not downloaded and/or "Download Unsucessful". When I do download it, its just a blank file, unable to be seen. But when she sends a normal pic from her phone's camera, it comes in fine.
Its not just her, I have the problem with others sending me screenshots also, iPhone and other Samsungs. My Nexus 6 don't discriminate, it seems to be allergic to all those PNG files. What do u guys think? I tried searching everywhere, I'm sure I'm not the only one running into this problem.
Is anyone else using the n920c variant of this phone with a stock firmware and android auto?
I've used a nexus 6 and the AT&T "n920A" variant of the phone with android auto and haven't had any issues. With this "c" version, however, most android auto features work, but it doesn't seem to want to read back text messages to me. Sometimes it works, but usually it doesn't.
I'll get the notification on the android auto screen, and then tap the notification. Then there's the little tone that plays before it reads the message, but the tone gets cut off and the message is never read.
Every other feature of android auto that I've been able to test seems to work fine. I can ask random questions, send text messages, use navigation, listen to music, etc. It's just the reading back of text messages that seems to be whacked.
I've tried both the 1.2 and 1.3 versions of android auto with the same lack of success. If I clear cache/data and re-setup android auto, it MIGHT read text messages once or twice before it stops again...
If others are using the same phone (with stock firmware) and having the same issue, I'll really feel much better about this. If others using the same phone are NOT having the same issues, I'll start wondering if something is wrong with my particular device...
thanks
Gary
Maybe more of a hardware question than an app question, but it happens with this particular app. I needed a texting app for my stock K1 running LP 5.1.1
I decided upon MightyText as I didn't want another phone number as some of the other apps provide. MightyText syncs my phone and the K1 within seconds. If I get a text to the phone, I get a notification on the tab within a second or two. Same happens if I send a text from the tablet, I get a notification on the phone again within a second or two. I realize that the phone is using it's cellular radio to send the text. Phone is a rooted LG Optimus G Pro running KK.
Here's where it gets strange! If I turn off WiFi and BT on the phone, when I write a text on the tablet and hit send, my phone receives and sends the text. WiFi and BT are still off. I looked to see if the app was somehow turning the radios on, on the phone, but it looks like they are staying off (unless they are coming on for a fraction of a second). I'm trying to figure out how the tablet is communicating with the phone if the radios are turned off. Also, the app has a phone icon. if I hit the phone icon on the tablet app, the phone makes a call to whoever I happened to be texting. I cannot talk through the tablet (I don't think), but the call does go through. I'm unsure what the functionality of this item is...why would I want the tablet to initiate a phone call when I cannot talk through the tablet?
Phone radio you mean phone, internet (3G/4G) here?
Mighty text working through network/internet. I will take simple explanation like this. SMS -> your phone -> SMS send to mighty text service -> mighty text service passes it to your table. Similar your tablet sends the text -> text go to mighty text service -> Mightytext service passes it to your device AND to the receiver on your behalf.
MightyText function like a bridge to connect your phone and other device and running through the internet.
Once your device connects with MightyText service, MightyText will become a behalf assistant to receiving and send your message.
Thats mean your sensitive information will be readable by a 3rd person (or group person who know?)
I get this message everytime I plug my note 9 into my car. I don't intend to use Android Auto. I don't care to share my contacts or messages with my car. I just plug in to charge. But I get that popup everytime and have to select Allow or Deny. Either makes no difference to how I use my phone. Any way to stop that message? I'm driving a Mercedes, if that matters.
might sound stupid but,
Can you select don't ask again then click deny

Any help to explain what happened would be very much appreciated.
1) At 10.42 am this morning i was driving on a country road near devizes in uk with no other cars around and intermittant phone signal.
2) I received a text "google verification code" that came up on my car's system (toyota system linked by bluetooth to my huawei p20 pro).
3) Surprised (because i wasn't trying to log into anything at the time and my wife was at swimming lessons with the kids so not her) i pulled over to check but i could not find a copy of the text on my phone (but i took a picture of it displayed in the car).
4) on returning home i contacted:
A) Google said change password but not them
B) Huawei said change password but not them
C) Virgin mobile say phone does not appear to be cloned
Anyone got any ideas? (I have changed the password from a different device and received the relevant Google confirmations for doing that)
Any idvice gratefully received and thanks!
It is SMS sent by Google to verify your device to use RCS instead of SMS. You'll find that text in the Archive.

I checked but the message isn't in the archive
