The number seems legit , SM-N950F is the international version of note8. You should search for reference about the seller on the net (google it)

I already did. found nothing. I wonder if Canada has Better business bureau? Im from US
I have found the following:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Samsung-Gal...dnight-Black-Unlocked-Pre-Order-/122668730109
I don't know anything about "ISF-Technology" and like yourself, I'm reluctant.
Does anyone know anything about this vendor? My understanding is that with the European unlocked models, that they are still "region locked" and must have this feature removed by first making a 5 minute call with an EU sim, or it will not work in the U.S.

Hi
I was wondering if someone from over the pond can help me. I have 2 G1 locked to T-mobile uk. And can't get the unlock codes to use other sims in them.
So was hoping that someone would be kind enough to help out, with getting the codes.
As I heard that T-mobile usa and others can get them easier.
Edit: sorry if this is the wrong place or wrong thing to ask. Will delet if asked.
Thank you
Ethereal24
Just trying to unlock my US T-Mobile G1, I had two different unlocking services report back to me that they couldn't provide a code for my IMEI. Someone sent me a link to this ebay seller:
http://myworld.ebay.com/blowfish06
And this guy got me a code that worked, in just a couple of minutes.

Thank you. But I will pass on that one. As I heard that other T-mobile users. Not the uk ones thoe for some reason can get them for free from there service providers. Not sure if this is still the case thoe.

can somebody point to another trusted website? ive already lost 24 dollars... sad
so no one has any idea then. i thought the other t-mobile carriers other than uk. could get imei unlock codes without paying if thay have been with them for some time.
cheers

I personally would only use an eBay seller for unlock codes. There is a bit of a safety net with both the feedback system, as well as filing a dispute through eBay or Paypal.
I have found a website that gives calling card you require for europe and it is very cheap. I have used it a lot of times to call my brother in the european states. This is note an advertisement but just a little bit of information. Interested can go to this website euro calling cards and check it out. I hope you will know that I am not faking it? If you have anyone abroad this is the easiest way to contact them and also the cheapest way in my view except for skype.

noticed US Celluar finally started selling all versions of Nexus 6 in both colors, anyone know if these are locked to US Celluar or can we work around this, especially since they offer prepaid where you can just buy phone outright(for a little bit more $ though)
I am thinking of giving it a try...
Don't know when I may get my 64gb from T-mobile... already have a 32gb.... I guess if it doesn't I can just return within 15-days... thinking of doing it....:good:

Don't know how to confirm...
in the comments of the article below.... this is the only shred of evidence that it may not be... however they checked with a US Cellular CSR... so no telling if they were just reading a stock answer or what... someone physically doing the SIM swap would have to confirm as I am not confident... The other factor to is that it may work going to say t-mobile or att and not sprint or verizon or even vice versa... really need one in hand to test...

So just to re-clarify the Nexus 6 purchased outright from US Cellular is unlocked, free of any carrier branding (on the actual phone and in regards to software)? It is the same as a Google Play ordered phone, correct?
Confirmed 2 Sources

Yes this is the second source that has confirmed this... (found confirmation on Nexus 6 reddit sight as well by a user) however there are things to consider:
1. You have to live in a US Cellular area to buy over the phone or online outright. Billing address & shipping address must be in US Cellular Coverage Area
2. If you address is not in a coverage area, then you must go to the closest US Cellular Store to buy if they are carrying it in that store... for me its 2 hours away so I doubt I will do it at this point... still considering it over the weekend. This also means that they must let you buy it outright as I heard you can hit a roadblock if they just don't want to sell it to you.
Good Luck Anyone Trying... I am going to try to confirm the stock at the nearest store to me... Doubt they have the magic white elephant (64GB in White):silly:
Called my Closest Us Cellular Store.... Tell me you haven't heard this before... None in-store, insufficient quantities at launch, stores won't have them for awhile.....:crying:
I've got mine and I'm on US Cellular. Got it on the 10th. I was the first person to ask because they didn't even know if yet had it yet. Just be persistent about asking if they have it. They had to go look in the back to see if they had it. I'm not sure about it being carrier locked because I don't have a reason for switching...
Nexus 6
Can anyone with a US Cellular Nexus 6 confirm that the phone is SIM unlocked? If so, is this true even if the phone was purchased with a 2 yr contract subsidy? Thanks for your help!
So, hey.
new here, not sure i'm im going rogue by making this thread - but , here's the thing;
I purchased a brand new Samsung Note 8 device , it should deliver in 1-2 weeks. I purchased it off of eBay from a seller located in the United States - I'm shipping it to Australia where I'll be using it for 1-2 weeks then move back to Israel , where I live , to use it there regularly.
The catch;
The phone probably has "bad ESN" - by probably , I mean , the seller is like "it could be blocked , its financed" - right. so its most likely already blocked and whatnot - that's cool.
Now , I've read that I could unlock it and still use it on other carriers even tho its blocked on that original carrier (TMobile) - is that true?
Will I be able to utilize this phone outside of the U.S. and actually use it as a phone? GSM 4G and whatnot?
I've been reading mixed answers on the interwebs and I'm getting nervous thinking I might've made a mistake I'd love some reassurance.
TL;DR -
Bought a US bad ESN TMobile phone - wondering if I could unlock it and use it outside of the US as if nothing's wrong with it?
You made a mistake, dont ever buy a phone with a bad/blocked ESN, PERIOD

Tho, you didn't really answer my question regarding being able to use it abroad :u...or is that the mistake part? :uuu...
There must be something I can do to utilize the device.
you can listen to music and take pictures with it, and use it on wifi; but most carriers now share blacklists with each other, so the chances of using it on a carriers network is very slim..plus, bad ESN discussion isnt really allowed on XDA..

I'm talking about a different carrier in a different country, i doubt they've got the time to share that - isn't it a bit much to handle?
oh, saw so many other threads like this that I didn't think its...erm , bad?
Again, my question was - is there a way for me to unlock it?
how does one? Q_Q

There is not yet a way to unlock the USA versions of the Note 8 at all. I hate to say it but you probably wasted your money. I would find out if you can return it to the seller.
Also - you may not think carriers 'have time' to share bad ESNs but it takes zero time on their part. As I understand it, the sharing is pretty much global.

Found all those 'IMEI CLEANING SERVICES' - this is like, some mob style - inside rats operations. Lol.
Might not be completely screwed afterall - have the IMEI cleaned and then unlock the deviceeeeee ayeeee
We dont discuss blacklisted IEMIs or changing them thread closed
so I've been robbed twice by this service I will no longer use the service I'm trying to get my money back. I've been in contact with these people, he asked me if I got my money back like come on now you would know if you issued me a refund or now they've been playing games with me they told me to install this app some kind of unlocking app and it was a lie it was all a lie but they took my money and now they're refusing to give it back anyone who's experienced this please get back to me I'm interested in trying to see if we can go after them because I'm not the first person they've done this to. no matter where you're from you do business here in America or using American policies you have to buy by the law that's just what it is you're selling a dummy service and that's not right. every time I enter my email to track my order it says server is busy but I know that was a fake set up as well because when I press enter it said the same thing so that's a lie. We need to act as one XDA is an important community and it's members are what makes it thrive. You're not sure about the service don't pump them because you're helping them with the LIE
Just curious, wouldn't contacting your carrier have been a better and a secure choice? I know tmobile unlocked a couple of phones for me after a certain period of time. Also, this website is built so poorly that it screams scam.
I chatted with the guys 1 Minute ago.
That smells like scam x1000 !
Iam using Note 9 Exynos (Europe, Germany,DBT) and we in germany dont have Sim or Netlock anymore.
I asked the Chatguy if they unlock Exynos Note 9 with DBT-"Branding"(Its no branding, it means : FREE) too, and he thold me : "Yes !"....
Totally scam. Realy, you have Netlock in the US ? And do you guys have Simlock too ?
And what if you flash via Odin a brandingfree rom ? Does it unlock the phone ?
Sorry this happened I used CellUnlocker once and they are great. Know it doesnt help your situation but for future reference.

I don't think it's a US company that is providing false unlocking services, they've been in contact with me and some of their messages were in Russian. Maybe to throw me off but I believe it's a shell company of some sorts

You didn't specify your device in your original post. So, I'd assumed that you had a carrier that provides that service like we do here in the US. My apologies if I gave a "Mr know it all" impression, non of that was my intention.
Carriers here in the US do unlock your phone after you've had it for a certain amount of time. My advice to you for next time is to start a thread here asking people to post their best and most trusted unlocking websites that they have actually used before, before going on your own to some random websites that you don't know much about.
We are always here to help, buddy. Sorry about what happened to you and I hope it wasn't a big chunk of money they've scammed you on.
If you unlock your phone and it is not paid off( you dont own it) and you unlock it through a third party. Then you stop paying the bill for the device then your carrier will black list the phone. You wont be able to use it with prepaid services or other carriers. Once you put a different sim in the device even though its unlocked. The phone will start Burning your sim cards so they dont work anymore. Only thing you can do is have an imei "repair" done. Or just change the csc code to a different country and just never use the original carrier which is easier.
I also totally agree with K-alz. This site does not look reputable at all. Take for instance all their claims like "Official service Even Samsung employees use our service to unlock their phones". Or even the fact you can enter anything you want into their text fields for your phone. Hell, at least the IMEI field should only accept numbers. Looks like a total scam...
On a side note, I had some fun with them:
IMEI: YOU GUYS ARE F****** JOKES
Samsung Model: WHO NEED TO
Carrier: STOP RIPPING OFF PEOPLE. YOU ARE BEING REPORTED TO THE PROPER AUTHORITIES. BYE BYE
I do hope you can get your money back, but I would definitely not trust these kind of sites in the future.
Edit: I doubt it will go anywhere, but I just called Samsung to let them know of this specific site using Samsung's logos, and making fraudulent claims. Gave the URL, and the guy I talked to stated he would bring it to his supervisor/manager.
I'm sorry you have had your money stolen from you by a fake service, but I do have to add that this is such a painfully obvious scam, the site just screams fake, throwing money at services you're unsure of or that aren't reputable is never a good idea, stick to proper authorised services in the future, hopefully this is a lesson to others considering doing the same thing, good luck with getting your money back
Not good.
