I bought my Xperia Z off ebay and there is a fairly hefty scratch in the middle of the screen. However, as it's second hand I don't know if this is on the asf itself or on a screen protector that was put on top of it. Obviously I can take the top layer off and if the Sony logo comes off with it I have my answer but I'd rather keep that Sony logo on there (even if it means putting up with the scratch). Anyone have any advice?
Thanks
Just look closely at the edges and see if there's more than one layer
I've seen a Youtube video where a guy removed an official Sony screen protector. No not the one with the translucent plastic pull-out tab.
He used a knife to remove it. Bad thing was, the Sony logo was embedded on the screen protector. So if you remove the screen protector, the Sony logo goes along with it.
Any of you guys tried it then used a different screen protector?
There was no screen protector on my Z1 and the Sony logo is still there.
I think you have missunderstand something.
Do you have a link to the video?
There is screen protector on every Z1 and like you said Sony logo is embedded on the screen protecton. So when you take it off the sony logo be gone.
I think you confusing something, the video shows how you can take off the Anti-Shatter Screen Protector (ASF) which come with the phone. If you look closely to the glass of you phone you will see there still a tiny screen protector and if you remove it the Sony logo will go out with him because the logo is on it. So if you apply any other screen protector on the phone the Sony logo will not come off if one day presumably you will try to remove the screen protector which you apply. BTW is not recommended to remove the original anti-Satter screen protector from Xperia device.

Eclyptos is right. And to add to it, if you remove the anti shatter film you void your warranty. So definitely not recommended
Hi theme im interesting can i take off original protective firm becouse its got hard screched ?
yes you can, but then your screen will no longer be shatter resistant... it's recommended to buy and install a new protective plastic after you remove the factory fitted one. The SONY logo will be removed
Does anyone know if Incipio has any plans to support the OnePlus 3? I've always used their cases and screen protectors on my past devices and I think that their Plex Flex flexible glass screen protectors would be great for the OnePlus 3s curved screen. It worked great on my Moto X Pure Edition.
If they don't plan on it, is there any way we can petition them?
Edit: I received an email from their customer service department. That have no plans to support the OnePlus 3.
I recently bought the Moto X4 and I'm worried if this is as scratch-prone as the Moto Z/G series?
Note that the scratch isn't on the glass itself but on the coating Motorola use on their recent devices.
I wonder if they also apply the same coating to this phone.
