03.10.11 - Updated OG version and FULL version to 0.8.4 Pro Trial. BOTTOM to follow soon.
NOTES:
There are plenty of bugs, just like with the Market version. I can't fix these problems. Unable to login to Twitter/FB, Missing FB and Twitter photos, missing calendar settings button, Timeline posts are out of order, etc. I will keep these updated as SnowBEE updates.
Only works on certain Launchers, check here.
Only the one widget is shown in the screenshots, but all widgets are themed
All of my APK's are resigned by me, which is why you will need to uninstall SnowBEE's version before installing mine. Refer to the installation instructions at the bottom of this post.
All themes are contained in one APK file. You can change the theme by selecting the settings button on any of the widgets.

Trying to use them over your LauncherPro 0.8.2 and it says "Launcher not supported". Maybe they look for Fede's package, signature or whatever?

Thanks. He says it's for GoLauncher, ADW, etc. I don't think LPP is supported yet. Prolly because LPP has its own widgets. I got the same error so had to test them on Go and ADW.

Updated the OP. Added full screen version.

The login screen for facebook doesn't work for me. Hit login and it starts to load the facebook screen then backs out of it. Anyone else get this? Using ADW.

Yeah, I'm getting problems too. Twitter as well. Even on the original unchanged apk. I'm looking in to it.

I'm thinking it is because there is some remains for the stock version someplace. I redid my rom with complete wipes and it works fine now.

That's weird because you think a data wipe on the program would do the trick. I just tried it and it still isn't working. Still looking...

As soon as I get caught up on all my bills I will make a donation to you. I def love the work you have done with this as well as on LPP. And maybe someday hope to see a color option for the nextang theme.

Thanks man. I'll take a look at Nextang.
I resolved the login issue, my emulator needed to be restarted because it lost internet connection. So it wasn't the apk, not for me anyway.

Well I've the twitter error... It seems that I'm correctly logged in, as I was able to tweet something... But I'm not able to see any tweet from the widget.
Any idea ?

I got that too. It just kept cycling between the "allow" webpage and the widget settings. I get it on the original apk too. I've only played with this thing for 2 days, so I'll have to see if I can fix it or if the dev is trying to fix it.

Two things, which may seem very stupid, your data service is working when trying to login, correct? And, try wiping data from the application then login again.
Let me know. I'm trying to fix a problem that the original dev hasn't responded to yet.

Eye In The Sky weather widget

Hi, is anyone using Eye in the Sky weather app widget on his Gear? I can add widget and pull out weather data for it, but i can't customize colors - i have the color pallete option, but in order to save the color i would have to press "save" to confirm. If I just swipe back it stays the old color.
Hence - is there anyway to change DPI of this app on the Gear? Or maybe I can create a widget on my Note 3 and export it to Gear somehow?

i've done that, but the selection window for color picker stays the same.

Look for an app in the play store called floating soft keys. That may help

I think this an issue with nl1 base rom from Samsung. Opera Mini has a similar issue where text is not viable within the buttons. Hopefully the new leak will fix this.

installs fine, after adding my hometown it tries to pull out data and then it crashes. didn't even get to widget screen yet as i have to reconfigure.
after restarting i tried to add widget - i can see the buttons to save color so it does work unfortunatetly the app itself crashes

BobClockD3 has the same issue. You cannot resize the color picker and thus cannot choose a color.

tethering is working fine, other apps pull out data just fine. i uninstalled modded apk and installed the one i uploaded to dropbox and crashes are gone..
maybe there is a possibility to change the font in top bar? Color picker is unnecessarily big. Maybe there is another APK that I have to change DPI that is responsible for that window?

I literally just changed the layout of the color picker, I dont know why that would start causing crashes.. does not sound right to me.

EyeInTheSky app linked here force closes on my Note 3 as well.

[Q] Can you replace the lockscreen?

Is there a way to replace the default Samsung lockscreen on the Galaxy S5? I'd like to use Dashclock or the new Notify! lockscreen applications, but I can't figure out how to disable Samsung's.

In Settings, Lockscreen, Screen Security, and then tap Screen Lock, choose none.

This procedure does not appear to work. When I disabled Samsung's Lockscreen in the options, there is no option anywhere to let another app take over the task or securing the screen or displaying lockscreen notifications. I tried installing Notify! and DashClock and neither work.

Are the apps supposed to be Lockscreen replacements? If you search the Play Store for Lockscreen replacements you can find a few.

Yes. Both "Notify!" and "DashClock" are lockscreen / lockscreen widget apps that work fine with Nexus and other non-skinned Android devices. My question was how to disable Samsung's Lockscreen AND allow these third-party apps to take control over lockscreen functions, including displaying onscreen notifications and other information.
I've used these kinds of apps many times in the past, so I know what they do and how they function. The question is how to get them working with the Galaxy S5. Do you know how, or were you guessing?

The GS5 lock screen does not allow widgets, not even the 5 shortcuts of TW past. It's ridiculous but not many people are crying about it since they at least left it minimally configured in a nice way.

That is probably for security reasons. For anyone who wants to add widgets, the simple instructions provided by Xandlinger above work fine.

The instructions don't work if you're trying to add lockscreen widgets such as Notify! or DashClock to the phone. I've tried it every which way. It seems the only lockscreen that can be used is the one Samsung provides with their UI.
I was just curious if someone knew a way around that. I guess we may have to wait until we can put a custom OS on the phone.

Can you post a screenshot of your lockscreen with a third party app securing your phone so I can see? I would very much like to make sure we're talking about the same thing.
I think we may be confusing lockscreens with lockscreen widgets.

@spectrumfox you're correct. It literally requires root to put a widget on the phones lock screen, be it via removing whatever their lock screen app is called or a new rom. It infuriates me but I don't hate the stock widget. :|

Yeah, the stock lock screen isn't horrible and I can definitely live with it. I just wish it allowed us more freedom to display data we want on it.

You're telling me, it was a long slow frown that came upon my face as I realized it was not some hidden touchwiz menu, rather a missing feature. Again, for now it's whatever. I've grown to like the simplicity. Imagine being stuck with the "Life Companion" text of the GS4

That's different, nobody likes widgetlocker. Replacing the lock screen is plausible but that's never been a good solution because there is delay, it doesn't always hide the normal lock screen on boot and is just wonky.

the app looks great. however, I'm having a bit of trouble with it:
firstly, whenever I try to launch any app from the launcher, it gives me a force close error. the launcher seems to stay on, but, again, when i try to start an app, FC/
secondly, the weather seems to not be working when using the geolocation. it's fine when I use a custom location to set it manually.

5.1.1 stock, no root and 5.0.1 rooted on my phone

after the update last evening, everything seems to be working fine.
this is, by far, the best wear launcher out there!

have been using mini launcher since the watch was released. however, since I saw this post, I started using Apollo, and I would never go back to the other one.
It is really user friendly and make life much easier!

Hmm cant get it to work.
No matter what i do i cant get the launcher to start on my watch. Also when i start the app in my phone i get the disconnectedicon up in the right corner.
I have restarted the phone and the watch several times now also tried to reinstall it twice to no avail.
Phone is a Xperia Z1 and well a g watch r.
oh yeah i "resynced apps in wearsettings as well.
EDIT: Mini started working within a few minutes.
What did i do wrong? waited probably 15 minutes for the other launcher to connect. Also tryed the swipe from downleft to upper right and didnt get anything
Will retry it again in a few uppdates i guess.

hm, that's strange.
I just installed it on the phone and within a minute or so, got the notification on the watch that the app was installed there as well. Then had the little icon appear in the lower left zone of the watch and I could start pulling that and worked.
Prob try reinstalling the app?

you need to keep phone and watch in connect before you change any settings

Is there any way of disabling the new factory drawer and just use this one?

On APKMirror a new Update of the Samsung Message App is available. With new Icon and UI.
Download the Apk from APKMirror and install normally.

Uninstall the New Message App and go back to the old Version.
In the Settings go to Apps, then in the New Message App, at the top right on the 3 Points Menu and uninstall Updates there.

At the Moment the sending of Stickers with the Messages app only works via the Sticker Button of the Samsung Keyboard. The Sticker Button in the Input Field of the Messages app does not show any Stickers to be sent.

Works great on 7.1.1 also, it changed the UI and looks much better now.
Edit: When you look at your contacts profiles, it freezes up then force closes on 7.1.1 but the app works still.

There is some issue dealing with dark themes ....

Whats different from the tegular version?

Been using it for awhile, I really like the new update..
Just ashame about the dark themes on the Samsung store as it makes the colours in the messaging app unusable. White text white box.

Been running for a few weeks now...and there are many changes....can record and send audio from messages, gifs, couple other new things too

I'm not.

I hate that it doesn't play nice with dark themes & that you can't change the background anymore. Wish messages was still like Lollipop where you could change bubble style & background.

Is this the S9 message app?

Can confirm this is all work on note 8 snapdragon /samfail

I have signed the Apk Sticker Plugin with the App ZipSigner. Then installed as a normal Apk. Reboot your Galaxy Note 8. Now it works the sending of Stickers on the Sticker Button in the
Inputfield of the new Samsung Messages App.
It works without root.

I was receiving duplicates also and my suggestion is to go back to the stock message app lol. I like the way it looks but it was making my contacts app freeze up and giving random soft reboots. Also when I tried dialing a number it would freeze and then the messages app would force close before the call would go through.

Messages app fully working but GIFs tab not working on me. Why?

On note 8 oreo: is anyone able to change the messages font size? I'm not seeing the option in settings.
