Wny flashing a file from untrusted site. Should have used the FF or aksed here. We would provide the correct file. What was your exact model and build number, will help you. I had same issue on my 5C and was unable to set up phone as no key board to proceed further with Google account. Eventually rolled back to MM and flsshed custom rom from p9 lite section. Let me know if you want to rollback or be on official stock Nougat or custom and will help accordingly. Don't worry we will help as much as possible

Here you go-
Download these and install all these and it will update and it will be fine.
If you are rooted, just backup your OEMINFO file as per the instructions given- https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-6x/how-to/guide-debranding-to-india-variant-bln-t3679402
Now flash all these files via dlaod. For quick method on dload refer this https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=73954487&postcount=240
Probably 1st and 2nd file should solve all the issues
main file- http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G1581/g104/v83823/f1/full/update.zip
Data file- http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/...23/f1/full/public/update_data_full_public.zip
Specific to this- http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/...hw_meafnaf/update_full_NMO-L31_hw_meafnaf.zip
Flash in order. most probably 1st and 2nd file should solve all the issues an bring your device to NMO-L31C185B356 official, if any issue seen, just flash the 3rd one also.
Note- You will lose root, TWRP in this process and will be back on full stock.

all i am a new one to flashing..
Im living in Asia so we dont get updates fast..
and currently b150 has got some issues i think... my mobile is not connecting to any wify..it just not connecting, and battery life is not good..
so i hope to update my firmware...and i dont see many people talking about b150.. so thats why i started this post..
I have done the basic by my self
unlocked bootloader & rooted my device.
my latest Build number is ALE-L21C363B150
and i have done some research what i understand is if i want go for Marshmallow i need to get b170 and b188 update..
so my question is..
1.) should i Unroot my mobile?
2.) should i download B170 and update by copying to dload?
3.) is B150 support for B170?
4.) if B150 support what should i do? should i just copy B170 update in to dload folder and update from mobile settings? or is there any specific method???
5.)if not, what should i do for go to b170?
6.) I have noticed some people are talking about "balong fix" can any one please explain about this balong issue ?
what will effects of this balong thing?
at huawei site...
they are just telling to upgrade to B170 and 188, but they are not mentioned which version support B170...
http://www.huaweifirmware.com/huawei-p8-lite
HOPE SOME ONE WILL HELP ME TO UPGRADE SAFELY..... THANKS...!
ok guyz with lots of help i have done the downgrade to B132 and now i see OTA update to B170..
no balong bug too..
ill telling this because this will useful for some one like me
and without this man ill not go this far
thanks amageek thanks alot...:fingers-crossed:
1. unlock ur boot loader and root if ur not..
2. Download the following file: https://yadi.sk/d/3eMg8bG0p8pU8 to the phone and using ES File Explorer replace the original file with the downloaded, strictly following the path /dev/block/platform/hi_mci.0/by-name
3. restart your mobile and please note it ll factory reset so make sure u backup what u need.
4. then download B132 firmware file http://www.carbontesla.com/2015/09/download-huawei-p8-lite-b132-firmware-dual-sim/
and extract that file.. ull get two files keep it. we gonna need it later.
5. fully unroot ur device
6. restart
7. copy that dload folder which we got from B132 to ur internal memorry or SD card
8. go to settings--> updater ---> check local update and install
9. thats it after some time ull get a b132 build p8 lite..
10. check for OTA upadtes and immediately u ll see B170 update with 300mb file
and kindly note i have done this on my B150.. and it works for me without any error
so please try at ur own risk...
All the best
and once again thanks amageek :highfive: :highfive:

How to view your region:
Call this number
Code:

3. Network information Query => 4. Vendor Country info

No, I mean you need to change your location to hw/eu (For EU firmware) or unicomelectric/cn (For Chinese firmware) for successfully upgrade firmware
I reccomend these firmware:
For hw/eu - B190 or B170(this is dual SIM variant EU)
For unicomelectric/cn - B230 (Chinese)

oh. i see now. ok. cant give other usefull help, but google translate (the site if wont work the add-on). it translate wery well from any language to english. i have it implemented in browser (via add-on ... so it translate at one click if its necessary)
Here you go:
1. Download the following file: oeminfo-eu to the phone and using ES File Explorer replace the original file with the downloaded, strictly following the path /dev/block/platform/hi_mci.0/by-name
2. Restart and do a complete WIPE to the factory settings
3. Download the archive C432B052 and perform a downgrade to B052.
After the restart - do a wipe to the factory defaults again.
4. Start the phone again and the OTA update to B170 should be immediately available. You should now have a device with "hw/eu" region.
Check it by dialing *#*#2846579#*#* in the dialer application and in the engineering menu go to:

Well i got this phone like 2 days ago and i convinced my self to try the marshmallow update mostly because battery dies fast (in case of differences with marshmallow battery management)
My firmware was b170 (L21 dual sim model) and i tried to update to b188 first. The weird thing is that the bootloader was already unlocked and i got it new, but anyway i said just in case of graphical bug i will unlock it one more time (ive seen many things so i unlocked it just in case). My issue though is that i did everything correctly. added dload folder and the b188 update. When im trying to update it, its goes on 8% and then it stops with error.
Things ive done so far
I unrooted it and now im trying to downgrade it so i will update it again to what it is now and hopefully it will let me lock the bootloader .
any other suggestions?
PS: How its possible this phone came with unlocked bootloader?

Unlock bootloader, flash twrp and install update.zip and full_update.zip for your device
Or you could try to find the files to update the devices via dload to a other firmware, but I'm not sure that works, because you want to change the cust.

I don't know, but you can try to install the newest version before nougat and than flash the first nougat version for your device.

Finally Got the Nought Latest Update with the help of Local Huawei Service Center, because my Cell still under warranty and they Changed Motherboard
I upgraded from B163 via B182 to B378 and then I flashed with Resurrection Remix N v5.8.5 However I decided to rollback to Marshmallow. I used EVA L09C900B300 Rollback package and now I completely stuck with this firmware! I' not able to upgrade or downgrade! I tried everything: B163 or B182 by dload method VolUp+VolDw+Power (SD as NTFS and also FAT32) and it stops on 5% says error incompatible software. I tried Huawei Updater 2 and HiSuite with proxy and it even B378 have been find, download and install but P9 reboots and verification process failed... and after reboot I'm still on B300.....
Seriously - I've no idea what to do..... This is my 2nd day with P9 firmware issues...
Any ideas guys ???

Every few days another user reporting the same problem - nobody dares to read XDA and previous posts/threads in this same sub-forum, until bricking the phone ;(
Never, never, never flash different versions of stock ROM (including rollback) over custom ROMs.
If you had b378 before RR, you had to go back to clear b378 first (this can be easily done by HWOTA), and only then opt for rollback, OTA, hard reset, relocking bootloader -never do it over the custom ROMs (specially over AOSP ones).
Sorry, don't know now, maybe you can still unbrick now by b378 by HWOTA....

I'm just casual Android flasher.. I make those changes like one time when I get new devices... My P9 was B136 when I flashed NewWorld rom (only one available back then) almost 2y ago and I did not followed all threads here. I flashed also my other devices (Samsung, MotoG5, LG) and I never had problems like with Huawei!! Their firmware policy or upgrading rules looks crazy and complicated af! Seriously - I just finished a Docker app project and it's an easy cake compare with Huaweii. I just don't get how this works. Why I can't flash my P9 any firmware (for P9 of course) I want ? Like I had to back to B136 then B166 then B182 then B378 - and during that process I had problems all the time. Like when I was on 136 system didn't detected any available firmware. I had to flash oeminfo-c432 then B182 update showed up... I installed and again - no update available. I had to update via Huawei Updater and HiSuite via proxy and custom roms... When I was on B378 I couldn't update to any latest... I wanted back to B136 to go through all that process again and understand but of course I messed up because for some reasons I couldn't just flash B136 like first time....
Anyway I was able to install RR ROM again.... I don't know how as this one required Nougat and EMUI 5.x and I rolled back to B300 but here we go......
Seriously - this Huawei firmware thing is one big mess!!
Guys - if I want back to full STOCK 6.0 or 7.0 whatever - what I should download - which file exactly and how to flash (TWRP, OTA ??) I just want to make my P9 up to date with Huawei latest firmware - that's all

I think this will help:https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/help/how-to-revert-to-stock-rom-t3407132:good:
Is your bootloader unlocked? If it is try manually to extract update.app file with Huawei update extractor, and flash (boot.img, system.img, recovery.img and cust.img). Didn't try it on my P9 'cause it's still with locked bootloader, but this procedure helped me many times with other Huawei phones. If your BL is not unlocked try official or unofficial method with DCUnlocker or SigmaKey from manufacture or fastboot mode.

yes I got still my bootloader unlocked even I rolled back to B300.
I was able to back to stock B386 Without update extraction and all those magic. I downloaded stock B386 update.zip and data.zip. Have to format data partition from TWRP. Then I flashed update.zip and data.zip and reboot into stock recovery. Then I wiped out cache, dalvik and restore factory. Voila I'm on stock B386
Of course I wanted to update to latest (B398??) and of course I can't...... lol... I basically reproduce all above steps but no... during install update.zip I get errors. When I try dload method I stops at 5% with error... Why build-in updater doesn't shows a latest firmware available to update ??? I had this isssue almost every time - I was able to update via phone OTA just from 136 to 182. Other updates I installed via Huawei Updater and HiSuite and proxy or dload or TWRP...
What I need to do now if I want update from B386 to latest ? This is crazy..seriously.

I have many issues when phone was rooted. Last year I flashed back stock recovery, relocked bootloader (keep unlock code at safe place lol ), and updated trough stock recovery, after that in every couple months ota updates arrived. Right now B397 (1.may 2018).
I sorted out all those problems finally and I'm an idiot because I tried to OTA without SIM card inserted Well... actually it's not so obvious but yeah.... I was on B368 and with SIM card inside it found a B391 update but it failed during install (because my unlocked bootloader I guessed) So I rolled back to MM using B300 rollback package and from B300 to B182. My bootloader was locked on stock B182 and from there I was able to update via OTA to B502 by EVA-L09C432B182 -> EVA-L09C432B210 -> EVA-L09C432B386 -> EVA-L09C432B391 -> EVA-L09C432B502.
On B502 I unlocked my bootloader again, flashed TWRP and currently downloading MagicRainbow v4

Hi! I don't know which version it's fine for your device and the only way to know it it's to flash it yourself, but i don't recommend you to do that.
Rooting with Magisk is fine on 9.1, just read the latest posts from this thread - > https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-10/how-to/guide-magisk-root-mate-10-pro-t3886967/page27
As for the roll-back, ut should be possible to do it with this tool and an appropriate roll-back firmware (again, firmware version might depend on your cust/brand).
I recommend you to keep an eye and also read this thread - > https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-10/how-to/firmware-version-mate-10-t3722019

B303 is not for A09, it's for C800 which is some jp cust.
Most new fw links are not up yet, and since Huawei decided to name all their firmware the same regardless of model its hard to know which is which :/

Great! Soon i will upload a new version that will also flash the patched Magisk ramdisk_recovery and Magisk Manager (this one will be optional, so those who already have it, can skip it).
It worked for me also.

Nope! Well, it can be done without root too, but it would require twrp in that case.

as stated before, since every update is named the same it's hard to tell which is L09, L29, A09 or AL/TL. AL/TL are easier as VERSION.mbn in UPDATE.zip doesn't have Global strings in it.
From what it seems, if you flash L09 on L29 or vice versa you get endless OTA updates for preload and cust. I don't know if just flashing the cust and preload zips fixes it, but you're free to try if you want.
Here's L09 preload and cust:
Preload: http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/...full/update_full_preload_BLA-L09_hw_eu_R1.zip
Cust: http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/...4//f1/full/update_full_cust_BLA-L09_hw_eu.zip
modified tool to include preload and cust:
https://mega.nz/#!oDR2DYCI!SRQlTq1IriGcEt1Wr--ggrBk7uZ4M_R8OwE6DdvmEEc
Extract and put in the EMUI 9.0 to 9.1 update folder.
Rename cust zip to update_cust.zip and preload to update_preload.zip, put in ZIPS-HERE folder, run modified bat.
Thank you very much, I try very soon. Have any of you done that already?

I did on L29 with L29 preload and cust, no problems.
Base (280955) seem to be the same for both L09 and L29 C432.

Soon i will upload a new tool that will let you flash all the 3 files, so you could wait. Also, a fried of mine is testing on BLA-L09 C432.
Perfect, also because I don't have the Root permissions on the device, and I don't even have twrp. In fact now I have tried and says that it does not find root permissions. Then I did not understand if the phone should be connected from on, in recovery or fastboot?

Tool updated. However, if you don't have root, you can't use it, you must root first.
Okay, I thought it was a tool like the ones we made earlier to install EMUI 9. I'll wait until the new tool is released. : D
Hi All,
I'm new here so please let me know if I've posted incorrectly.
I have a second hand Honor 9 Lite that I would like to use here in the UK.
It has LLD-AL10 (Build 9.1.0.130) EMUI 9.1.0 Android 9.
I think the 'firmware' I need for European is LLD-L31.
Firstly is it possible to change these base operating systems from one country/region to another please?
Secondly if it's possible and can be done ... how do I do it please?
It's a given to me handset with not data to worry about, factory reset unlocked handset.
It looks very nice and I didn't want to give up on it because I can not get the play store and standard gmail apps.
Many thanks in advance.

Yes, it is. You need :
1. downgrade to Oreo via HiSuite (process will erase all your data!)
2. unlock bootloader on your phone (you must downgrade to lower build number with google security patch from 04.2018.)
3. download fullOTA-MF Oreo firmware for region C432 from Firmware Finder
4. rebrand your device to C432 using tool "HWOTA8_LLD"
https://forum.xda-developers.com/9-lite/help/rebrand-honor-9-lite-chinese-frimware-t3739762/page3
Or, after bootloader unlocking, root your phone and simly flash Open-GAPPS via TWRP. (a simpler solution, IMO).

Thank you so very much, I really want to use this so I am going to try your suggestion very soon.
I'm going to try hard to understand these individual steps, there is nothing on the phone to worry about so that's a start. Hopefully I can find a way following your kind suggestion.

I've completed the first part after connecting through HiSuite and downgrading to AL10 8.0.0.189(C00)
Does the process cost? i.e. do I need to buy credits in these stages please?
Next is unlocking the boot loader and the lower build number with that 04.2018 security patch somehow?
Many thanks

Next is downgrading to the lower build number, You need to buy credits . You can try two firmware only, LLD-AL10 8.0.0.100(C00) or LLD-AL10 8.0.0.171(C00).
8.0.0.171 contains Google patch from 05.2018, but it's worth a try...

Extract the archive contents and follow instructions in "ReleaseDoc" .
