[MOD] CM12StereoSound [XZ XZL XZR][v1.1b][BETA]

Hi Friends.,
I just made a stereo mod working on cm12 on Sony Xperia Z, So just wanna share with you all.
I just Made it completely from the scratch. So please do test it and report it.
HI FRIENDS DUE TO SOME MISUNDERSTANDING I RECREATED THE SAME MOD AS @monivan StreoMOD THOUGH I DIDN'T COPY HIS MOD IN ANY ASPECT, I WOULD LIKE TO GIVE ALL CREDITS TO HIM, SO PLEASE THANK HIM ON THIS THREAD.
Change Log v1.0b
1. Enabled Ear piece for second speaker
2. Auto channel swap according to orientation
3. Sound Boosted a bit

1. Fixed sound level on both speakers thanks to @seba112 for pointing it out
Still in beta so I have tested only on my device I.e., Xperia Z
Kindly test it n let me know..
Installation
=> Flash through recovey
OR
=> Move mixer_paths.xml to "system/etc/"​

ATTENTION:
This mod could break your speaker..if always use the volume up at maximum level and if the audio file you play is just louder by default..
Do you use this mod at your own risk..

Confirmed working. Levels not the same.
Had to flash it via recovery. the copy-paste didnt work for me.

I am really sorry for that..
Actually my XZ main speaker is damaged by water so my both speakers play equally will update it now.. thanks for pointing it out...

i got a problem.. Xperia Z 5.0.2.. i tried to insatll manually ..but after this..no sound and in walkman a music player nothing plays and the songs skiped and skiped raoud and around..
and when i flash it via recovery.. ---->

Why are you creating the same mod which does the same thing using the name as the one I created Months ago? I don't get it.

Yup, work perfectly

You should acknowledge Monivan's work for the stereo mod
His stereo mod's been around for half an year so you should at least give him credit for the hard work - it's a lot harder to find the settings in a SND_fusion file than it is in Mixer_paths. I've tested the first versions and it was a lot of work logging every type of output to make full stereo settings. So, give him some credit mate!

I whole heartly agree with this, as I was a beta tester for the sony stock rom version, and I know how much work he put into it.
A credit is the least the o.p could do. Z removal would be better, as l think its more of a duplicate.

I'm using Lollipop 5.0 Nightlies 4.0 rom.

how to change the RX3 value to 84?

1.1b version has these settings

All sounds boosted by 4, I choose to increase by only 4 as I felt this gave a great boost to the stock level without sound distortion.
from feedback, this is the best/perfect level of sound
the headphone volume is increased slightly more

Increase loudspeaker volume

Any way to increase incall speaker volume it is too low on all Marshmallow roms aside from MIUI, I need xposed so can't use lineage. Thanks

Install viper audio with Dolby Atmos. Open Dolby Atmos and set "Volume Leveler" on. It will give a boost to the sound. Also, unrar the attached rar file, and replace the existing files under /system/etc/ with unzipped files. For me on Mokee rom, those working well.

Thanks for the reply. My rom does not have mixer paths and mixther paths i2s only tasha does that matter?

Yes. Though as I saved those as all ROM purpose ( Mi Specific ), so I just push all files under /system/etc, but actually tasha one will work on CM based ROMs. Please share your experience after testing.

Successfully did it with Stereo speaker mod shared in this forum. I modified few values on mixer_paths_tasha.xml, made Dolby Atmos speaker optimization onmanually, and now my speaker sound is loud enough. Flashable zip attached with this post. After installing this from TWRP, reboot and enjoy loud volume on speaker and headphone.

Sound not out while play a game like mobile legend ini miui

Which version of Viper4Android do you use for Oreo 8.1 ???

I'm currently using Resurrection Remix 6.1.0 and most things work correct. The only issue i have is sound quality and level.
I'd try too many versions of viper4android but all of them have some bugs. Some of them works but sometimes not proccesing. I have to reboot the phone multiple of times to work again. Sometimes works but suddenly stop to procces ? . I disabled Viper4Android and re-enabled that, force stop, clear cache and data, reset settings and in the end nothing!
Another issue is speaker sound. Its too low even on viper4android. I set everything on highest level but not enough. On Miui 9 (Custom ROM) and Nougat 7.1 everything was awesome, but on Oreo 8.1 is terrible.
I saw in some threads that peploe talk about Viper4Android works great! I want to know which version do use on 8.1 custome roms?
If you use another sound driver addons like Dolby Atmos and others and work great, please tell me to know that.

It's well known that every Oreo base custom ROM has some weak sound output. None app will fix the speaker output. Nougat ROMs are your choice if the sound output is your priority.

I'm running MSM Xtended v9.5 by Jay_B (which is my all time favourite ROM - highly recommended) and I have rooted with Magisk v16.0.
Magisk, when installed, has a list of downloads. I have downloaded and installed the modules:-
"Audio Modification Library" v1.8 by Zackptg, Ahrion and
"VIPER4Android FX" v1.7 by VIPER520, ZhuHang, Team_Dewitt, Ahrion, Zackptg
When installing viper I chose the 2.5.0.5 Material version.
I'm not sure if the Audio Mod makes a difference or if the version of viper makes any difference but this is what I am running and very happy with it.
I use viper mainly to listen to music (128gb sd card full with mostly music).
Try the Magisk approach to install, I'm a long time fan of viper and we have had some hard times installing viper over the last few versions of Android but the Magisk approach has worked well for me for some time now.
If you still have no luck, give MSM Xtended a try, it really is an excellent ROM.
To all the devs mentioned above - thank you for all your time, effort and the amount of work you put in to this.

check the last 2-3 pages of posts in the MSM Xtended rom thread, after trying a lot of different sound mods i finally found a dolbyatmos mod that actually makes a HUGE difference both in volume level and quality of speaker output. its the only mod ive tried that really works and has a very noticeable impact. everything else, incouding viper4android, sauron mod, musicfx amd the inbuilt rom equalizer had no effect whatsoever.

Did'nt work for me but thank you :good: . I think my problem solved for now.

[MOD] High Impedance Sound Mod [Root Required]

I have created this mod (rather an xml edit) by basically looking at information available in the open in other threads . I see that other famous sound mod thread doesn't have the files for download anymore and people are still trying to find links.
All this mod does is enable " High Impedance Mode" all the time . The Volume and sound quality is comparable to other famous mod which i also have used in the past .
Please make a backup of your mixer_paths_tavil.xml file found in system/vendor/etc on Oreo (or) system/etc on Nougat before doing anything.
Please extract/copy the mixer_paths_tavil.xml file to system/vendor/etc on Oreo (or) system/etc on Nougat and restart your phone .
People are free to share and use this mod as they like .
