Gear VR Service Stopped - Samsung Gear VR

Okay so I have a Gear VR I think the 2015 version and a S6 EDGE PLUS (G928F) recently when I plug my phone into the vr I get nothing not even black screen it just stays on whatever screen I was on and when i unplug it I get 'Gear VR service stopped' or Gear VR Service keeps stopping'
I have tried uninstalling updates of all gear vr apps
I have tried factory reset
Even when I try to open any vr app without the headset I still get 'gear vr service stopped' straight away the error comes up, no blank screen or insert headset screen
Please can someone help me with this issue, contemplating downgrading to marshmellow
Please note I am running Super fast and famous 3 nougat rom
**Also my phone continues to bootloop when installing a stock rom, the only way I fix this is by flashing supersu zip file, my phone will not boot any version of stock roms without installing supersu for some reason, that also maybe my problem, when I do full unroot on supersu I get bootloop again, possibily the gear vr wont run with root but as I have stated my phone wont boot without root either I get the usual fail drk check error until I root it

Hi,
I'm running a custom rom on my note..I installed Beats Audio Pro app on my phone and after i installed it,I immediately uninstalled it but after i restarted my phone did an app check and update and after that my camera stopped working and it gives me the camera failed message and the phone immediately re-starts and this happens everything I open the camera.

Try to reflash Your ROM without wiping data. This should help.

Gear Manager App Update Fails

My S4 alerted me to a gear manager update last night- it connects to Samsung apps to update and then fails. Still failing today when I try it. I have the original Gear.
If it still works, don't worry about the update. If it's not working try uninstalling everything gear related from the phone and use the cradle to get it to install.
Or get latest version by following download link in my sig
I think it stopped working as it was attaching itself to the new gear fit manager. Should be fine now

S5 continuously rebooting after using TopNTP to write gps.conf

Hello all,
I hope someone can help me with my problem.
My G900A has been having many problems with the GPS signal and keeping locked the GPS (when it manage to do so).
After looking around the internet I found some tutorials that used the application TopNTP to customize the gps.conf file. I Installed the application and customized the file and after rebooting the phone, as soon as the AT&T logo goes away, messages like
"Unfortunately Google Play services has stopped"
"Google search engine has stopped"
...and the like.
After 10 or so seconds the phone reboots and the loop repeats over and over.
I have tried a factory reset but it solved nothing.
Does anyone know any way to solve for this problem?
Thank you very much.
Technical information:
- Phone Samsung S5 G900A
- Firmware G900A_OF3_Stock_Rooted_ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/att...w-to-update-to-g900aof2-5-0-keeproot-t3149146
- Rooted using odin in 4.4.2 before updating to OF3.

Cant go back to stock firmware or update using smart switch

So, to give some perspective my note 5 was working perfectly fine for a few weeks until out of nowhere i started getting this "Google Services have stopped" message every 30 minutes or so . I noticed that i wasnt getting any notifications either until i restarted my phone. So i decided to install a new clean room without all of the samsung bloatware. But i wanted to make a backup using smart switch so to my surprise as soon i plugged my phone in it allowed me to download the 6.0 marshmallow update and it worked fine...except the google services message + notification problem was still there . So
I went in fine and installed the clockwork recovery but of course, after this was done my phone would get stuck on the samsung logo forever, Since i dident even had a chance to copy the rom, i had to go all the way back. Download a stock firmware and flash that trough odin.. finally my phone was working again but now it wouldnt let me update trough smart switch ( says im on the latest version alredy )
The firmware i used is this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/note5/general/guide-update-note-5-sm-n920c-to-android-t3317984
Since updating to that firmware i also noticed that my perfomance and battery life is much worse, As well on the download mode i have the Knox flag as 1, i dont know if this has any impact on the smart switch software
Basically i just want to go back to the marshmallow update that i got trough smart switch since it also included the spanish language pack that i really need

Any update on the 'Network Error" during installation?

Searched around everywhere and the issue seems to be relatively widespread. During the Gear VR installation process, the install button becomes greyed out, stating "Network error occurred. Try again later."
Im using a Galaxy S7 Edge (G935F) stock ROM rooted +xposed.
I've tried editing the CSC file at /system/csc/sales_code.dat but this hasn't done anything!
I'd prefer not to wipe my phone and go through the hassle but if it that works (I've heard it doesn't) then I'll give it a shot.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
I got the same problem after xposed installed on my G935T, when it was rooted and installed all work fine, but when i returned to stock rom (because the lag and big hot introduced by rooting it) GearVR never work again always with the wizard error "network problem" but i noticed that when i enter to the recovery and leave it, i get a red message "data mount problem invalid argument" i check xposed installer install.sh script and i notice that they mount /data storage in some lines maybe they change the way /data need to be mount so.. gearvr detect that data is wrong mounted and it avoid to be installed.. so.. im stuck on that weird problem.. and cant install gear vr now.

I figured it out! It's a problem with your phone's CSC version (Consumer Service Code)!
Flash your original CSC version (that should be compatible with Gear VR) using this tool - http://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/development/utility-flashable-csc-selection-30-t3392957
If your variant is not available contact the Dev and he will add it upon request! Let me know how you go
Thanks you benno4678 for that solution!, it seems like is more than one solution for this problem hehe, well i fixed it.. i just take out the sim card and start the phone without it.. then i connect to an U.S vpn and everything works fine this time.. is like Oculus hate Cuba nahh.. seriously i think this is because I'm using t-mobile phone with TMB CSC in a different carrier like you said... but without sim card the phone din't show the carrier info so oculus installs works. Btw my operator don't have any CSC defined so.. my solution is the only one that work for me
SOLVED
Take the SIM card out and reboot. Install the software with the SIM card OUT. It worked for me.
