touchwiz launcher and shortcuts - Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Questions and Answers

I use Nova. Sometimes I switch to touchwiz to put some link into the home page to use them with edge menu. But I cannot create app shortcuts, doesnt touchwiz support them? A shortcut is a link to an Activity into and app, f.i. create a new mail in Gmail. Thank you.

[Q] Explicitly execute TWauncher

Hi SGS adv users!
I'm planning to replace my default home app with LauncherPro or Zeam, but I'd like to keep the option to reach the standard SGS TouchWiz Application Drawer (with positionable-apps in grids and horizontal scroll)
As any other launcher has its own drawer, I couldn't do that without a link or a shortcut icon. Otherwise I should change every time the default home, which is very uncomfortable.
Thanks

[Q] Desktop Visualizer and LauncherPro Plus Custom Shortcuts

I've been working on my own winphone7 type theme (using LauncherPro Plus and Desktop Visualizer), and I'm hoping maybe someone on this forum could help me out with it.
My question is whether or not Desktop Visualizer can create shortcuts to navigate through homescreens on a press.
I know it can be done in LPP with the dockbar icons using a LauncherPro Shortcut, but I have those assigned to primary functions already and I don't want to essentially not have a dockbar.
I cant post my screens yet (I am a terrible, awful lurker) but essentially the bottom row of each of my homescreens has a LEFT and RIGHT icon I was hoping to assign functions to, right now they have no action tied to them and just serve as an open space to swipe without accidentally launching anything.
You cannot assign the shortcuts using DV.

[Q] [HOW TO] Create alarm shortcut in homepage

Hi,
is it possible to create a shortcut to alarm app (the original one, inside clock app) in homepage??? it would be very useful for me....
I'm using GB 2.3.5 with GOlauncherEX (and don't want to change it)
Thx
Got it!
You can do it with this: QuickShortcutMaker
This application let you create a shortcut to nearly every activities. And the alarm is an activities, not an app (as long as I understand)
With ADW EX, there is a way to do it without using a separate app. GO Launcher EX may have the same thing. If you long press on the desktop and select custom shortcut. Then you select "Pick your activity". Once the list loads, you can find the clock app, expand out the list of activities, and then select the alarm clock one.
^^what he said. I think most Launchers allow this. By the way OP, if you use the stock Clock/Alarm app a lot, i highly recommend 'Alarm Clock Plus' from the market. It's fantastic.

I used ADW, and did as you suggest to create a shortcut....now I move to GOlauncher and I didn't find a way to do the same
Yeah, I haven't used GOLauncher, so I have no idea how (if possible) to do it.
try this widget,

Any app or hack to change widget size? (google specifically)

I want to change the google search widget that takes up 4 slots. I only need the voice search. (the microphone icon on the rightmost part of the widget). Can only find one widget size if I try to add it.
If I try to add the "voice search" app from market (which is only 1 icon), it allows me to search but not to do google voice actions. I want something where I can do everything in an icon that only takes up one space. Is this possible through a hack or app?
As far as I know, with custom launchers, you have the ability to resize widgets.
With TW 4.5 by fr4ggor you can do it

YOu can easily do it through Go launcher EX. Just press the widget and you will get the option to resize it. I tried it for search widget.

Any way to do this?

Without using a separate app, is there a way to link desktop visualizer to open the app drawer of ADW launcher? I know you can long press on the home screen, and press launcher actions, then click open app drawer and change that icon, but I want it bigger, so I need to use DVR. I know I can link DVR to Alt Drawer, since that is a separate app, but I would prefer to use the default ADW app drawer. I've tried all the shortcuts for ADW from the custom shortcuts menu, and none of them open the app drawer, so that's not a option. Any ideas?

How about creating the wallpaper with the icon you wan inserted, then overlay it with a transparent icon of the app drawer.
