Mine is a barcode and I think it's for the IMEI, but not sure what country would have QR codes.

Hi,
I do not wish to flash my phone with Hardspl etc!
I wish to use the sim unlock entry code to open my phone, via the official route.
The cheapest I have found is £15 at:
http://www.fonesunlock.co.uk/unlocking/htc/unlock-code-for-htc-touch-diamond-mobile-phone.html
Does anybody know where I can get it cheaper?

Thanks for that Dave!
I was under the impression that the olinex unlock is based around reflashing my phone though!
I do not want to load any software and use my usb cable. I just want a sim unlock entry code.
Are you 100% sure this works the same way?

It works 100% in a different way. I didn't read your post properly, I missed the "code unlock only" part. Soz.

Many thanks anyway Dave.
Just found another site that unlocks for £2.99
http://www.instantunlockcodes.co.uk/
This one may be hard to beat!
Seems like a fair price! So I will try this one out and post my findings on whether it was any good.

Just read their T's & C's and am bit worried they may not actually get me the code for £2.99 as my mobile is not listed in their compatibility database.
Think I still prefer my original link!
As no cheaper price added by any XDA users decided to go with www.fonesunlock.co.uk
Price paid was £15.71 71 pence charge was for Paypal payment charge. As soon as I had paid for the unlock code, I received the code at the bottom of my invoice. Put an O2 sim into my Orange Diamond and entered the unlock code a couple of times and hey presto it was unlocked. Due to the speed and efficiency of this service I would highly recommend it those not wishing to flash their phones, but still wanting to use any sim.
Anyone else had any good/ bad experiences with sim unlock?
why would you not want to flash ur fone lol nice thread tho it was more like a blog lol

It did end up more like a blog!
I was hoping for a plethora of suggested sites to use!
Hopefully one at lower cost for an 8 digit number!
I cannot think of any reason why I should or would want to flash my phone.
Is there something in particular i am missing out on?
have anyone ever experienced a loss of emei number on this phone?? Just wondering because Im going to buy one off craiglist and you never know.of course ill tryy sim card before buying but you can never be too sure..I know with samsung galaxy s 4g it was better to backup that folder..I currently have a mytouch 4g and it doesnt really apply to the mytouch.thanks any info would be helpful

Yes, there were reports of IMEI being either lost or changed to some strange one (probably by flashing some quirky rom). But there was some relatively easy method of restoring it. Anyway, what I would suggest is checking the IMEI on the box, on the sticker under the accu, and in the software (*#06# on the keyboard for a quick check) - if any of the three is not matching then I would be double cautious
Thanks people haven"t even try to help,I know EMEI is sensitive stuff.but what you meant on the box? And What you meant on the sticker accu? Where is that located..sorry for these question i know hacking but not these type of stuff

When you buy new phone it is in a box. Such box should have a sticker on it where the IMEI should be clearly visible. I realise that you are buying second hand but probably you will get the phone in original packaging.
The second place where IMEI should be visible in a sticker under the battery, i.e. open the phone, remove the battery and you should see it. You will have to do this anyway to insert SIM card.
The last place is the software. Turn on the phone, start the dial pad and then 'dial' the number I have shown you before. Alternative way would be to enter menu and look for it in the phone information section.
Thanks man yeah ill go 2 for 3 since i probably wont get it in original package.under sticker and in the about phone info etcc
Thanks again dude.

Hello,
Does anybody know where I could get a replacement SIM door?
I've already contacted LG Support and their parts department. I've also searched the usual suspects (Amazon, eBay, etc.)
Thanks
Were you able to get the Sim door replacement?

I know that somebody else from here posted a 3D file on thingverse. A simple search should help you.
There's also another method shown on Youtube, as a last resort, I guess. But the risk of damaging the plastic door seems high. YMMV

What news about your problem? Did you find replacement?

Hy guys I bought the device today from Amazon, from a seller with mixed reviews... Someone says he sells used device... Mine will arrive tomorrow... Is there a way to be SURE that is brand new and untouched? Maybe via software, some hidden device info or counter... Ty guys...

Samsung phone info from play store there is an option that says if the phone has been plug to charge and other things that might help you see if the phone is new
Ty! Also, there is maybe some numbers to dial to show secret menu? Like *#0123* etc...

The phone box should have a Samsung seal tape on it. Before you open it, you can check if that has been tampered with.
I purchased this phone as new. The warranty sticker was still in place. However the back of the phone does not contain any serial or IMEI number. Does this mean the phone is a refurb?
