It used to be in storage settings in my old phone..but can't seem to find it here...
ok...found it. Swipe down and in the notification shade, press the down arrow on mass storage and "open" and "unmount" will show.
i accidentally clear the notification for USB drive.. when i unmount and remove the USB drive and then pluggin again the notification didn't appear ..
how to fix it?
Unmounting after clearing notifications
Settings -> Device Maintenance -> Storage -> Options menu (Top right-hand corner) -> Storage settings -> Eject/unmount

Any clue as to what "Connecting to DM server..." actually is, how do you stop it from saying that, and finally, how do you get rid of the 2 little arrows on the top of the screen, that are the result of that "Connecting..."?? Thanks!!
If you enter Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > Menu button > Filter > Tap ALL > You will see Device Management.
This app checks for firmware updates from AT&T.
Also in the Applications setting menu you have Running Services. You may tap to close the Device Management service.
You can also use a startup manager to stop Device Management from auto-starting.
Also, you can root the device and use Titanium Backup to completely uninstall it. However you'll lose the ability to update Over the Air.
Where is this located in settings. I can't find
Settings > Storage > Menu (Top Right) > USB Computer Connection > Media device (MTP)

Hello. I have a small software bug (Motorola G6).
When I long press on the home screen --> settings --> icon badging --> the phone enters notifications.
Upon entering the menu the second menu option "Allow notification dots" blinks twice (or better explained, gets highlighted twice)
Does your phone also have that blinking of the second menu option?
icon badging?
I don't have anything like that, the only thing to do with icons for me is called change icon shape.
though when i do enter the notification dots menu the allow notification dots option does blink twice.
Yes, it is the notification dots option that blinks twice. Then it is not just my phone.
It does not do so when I enter it via the usual settings --> Apps & Notifications --> Notifications.
It's weird, that the option on your phone isn't called icon badging. It is so on mine when I switch from German to English UK. It's the third option from the top anyways. In German "Logosymbole".
The little battery icon on the upper left side that shows up in notifications when the battery is fully charged was driving me crazy. After a little digging around, I finally found where to turn it off. Hope this helps others...
1. Go to system settings -> notifications
2. Go to advanced.
3. Click the action bar menu (3 dots in upper right corner)
4. Click "show system apps"
5. Go to "System UI"
6. Click "Battery Full" and turn off the App icon badges and set importance to low.
Hi, which apps are needed for live messages to work? I uninstalled live messages, but then reinstalled it but still no live messages< so am thinking there are other apps (dependencies) like stickercentre, or notes or emojiupdater etc. or something that I'm missing, to get live messages to work again, other Spen note taking functions etc work fine, just live messages not working, any ideas? thanks
try maybe (from https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Note8/Live-Messages/td-p/608700)
