I’m going to buy a 256GB Galaxy Note8 in a few months from Korea. Do I contact the seller from ebay to insert a korean sim for five minutes then remove the sim card after that send it to my country? I'm wondering can I region unlock the phone in my country which is Indonesia? So it can be factory sealed then I can unlock the phone with an Indonesian sim card.
Yes

Hi,
I own a Samsung galaxy Note 4 (N910F). I bought this phone in Germany and it has a region lock on it. Last year I went to 3 different places, first in Nepal, second in the Cape Town and the third one in Brazil due to my work. I carried my phone with me but i was not able to use the SIM in those countries.
How can I unlock (region unlock ) my phone so that I can use my phone World Wide.
My Phone is :
N910F (Europe) with Qualcomm Snapdragon 805.
Is it a region lock, or a carrier lock?

Hi all,
So I'm sending my Note 9 512GB to cpw for repairs due to issue with telephoto lens, while I'm setting up my OH Note 9 128GB also purchased from CarphoneWarehouse I noticed the firmware on both is different. The 512GB is BTU and the 128GB is XEU, my understanding is that BTU is direct from Samsung and XEU indirect unbranded UK retail.
Just had a thought does that mean the 512GB is dual SIM capable, if I was too use the dual SIM tray? From what I read Samsung only sell the hybrid SIM phones which allow 2 SIM or 1 SIM and a microSD.
My friend is away and he has the 128GB version from Samsung direct, but he is on holiday so can't try it to check, so will have to wait for repair and then test it.
If it was that simple it would be great.
My 128Gig note 9 bought from cpw shows BTU firmware [emoji848]

Hello. I purchased an S10 in the USA from T-Mobile the phone is still being paid. I came to Portugal, is there any way to unlock it? If so, SIM card in Portugal will catch network, I will not have problems with it?

Hello everyone. I am planning to buy S21 Ultra Factory Unlocked in US Samsung store. Will it work directly on carriers in Pakistan or will I have to insert a US sim card first in order to activate it and only then I will be able to take it and use it in Pakistan? Someone had asked a similar question in this link below, although he is from India but can apply to Pakistan as well;
https://r2.community.samsung.com/t5/Galaxy-S/S21-series-from-USA-and-use-in-India/td-p/7397918
This is getting really confusing. 3 people have answered him that a US sim is required for activation even on a factory unlocked phone. Why would a factory unlocked phone require a US sim for activation first? Or is it not the case? Can anyone please help me out. Shall be grateful.
